Any recommendation for the cheapest phone possible with good battery life, preferably easy to replace and find battery for usage as mp3 player?
*
Get an MP3 player bro, iPods also work very well if you're fine with iTunes.

If you need to make phone calls also.. Xiaomi Redmi 1S or Redmi Note?

I will listen mostly to audiobooks, podcast, and the likes. MP3 player are usually to cumbersome and to expensive, and they are usually very bad at micromanaging the playlist. also i can do other stuff with a smartphone.

forgot to add, sdcard is a must

Hi all,

1. Brand: Any
2. Budget: RM1k-1.3k
3. Specs: Fast processor, 5" screen, good camera, moderate gaming
4. What you need in the phone: Browse web, emails with picture attachments, a bit gaming & watch vids

Current phone is iPhone4, which was dead already. And I'm ready to make the jump to Android land!

OnePlus One, Nexus 5, Meizu MX4. These are without microsd expansion slot.

if u nid microsd expansion slot, LG G3 2GB RAM variant, Xperia Z2 ap set, Note 3 Neo, Honor 6.

If u are not confident in china brand, then can remove Meizu MX4 and Honor 6 from the choices. nod.gif

Haha, yeah, if possible, I would like to avoid China brands. tongue.gif

Is Samsung S4 good though? I'm not crazy in getting the newest version of a phone, so older version with dropped price would peak my interest. I like how light and thin S4 is, compared to others.

for normal usage would be ok. Might not be that smooth in playing some graphical demanding game.

The S5 (newer and better processor) is selling at RM1499 for ori set by DirectD. If you can top up, it would be a great phone. brows.gif

The thing with Samsung is that you gotta deal with the bloatwares that comes preinstalled with Touchwiz though.

1. Brand: Any
2. Budget: RM600
3. Specs: 5" above, anything goes with what i want to do with it.
4. What you need in the phone: can handle Spotify smoooootthhhhhhlyyyy with 32gb of songs, normal usage (google keep, wunderlist, evernote, firefox, whatsapp, decent camera for everyday stuffs) and good GPS. current lenovo p780 with waze/google maps is quite frustrating.

planning on taking redmi note 4g tomorrow. reason is because its uses snapdragon chipset rather than mediatek. although underpowered compared to normal redmi note, this new one uses snapdragon which i read somewhere was better performed when using for gps compared to mediatek.

need other opinion on other brand's models too. i'm not too fussy about this, but atleast it got resin case available to buy. some models still not have resin case especially budget androids.
thanks. smile.gif

Not quite sure of Redmi Note's casing availability in Msia. U can look for it in Garage Sales. nod.gif

Snapdragon device have better GPS performance compared to Mediatek.

Other suggestions includes, Zenfone 5 A500KL 8GB internal version (less than RM600), Moto G LTE 1st gen,

or top up for Zenfone 5 A500KL 16GB internal version, Moto G 2nd gen

this would be the lower ends with snapdragon 400 powering them, Redmi Note LTE, Zenfone 5 A500KL, Moto G 2014

for higher end using snapdragon 800, Padfone S, Mi3.

Padfone S have small battery capacity though. But users are reporting quite gud battery life.
