QUOTE(balok23 @ Aug 18 2014, 01:59 PM) Guys... Why my opo doesnt show 4g signal... Only H+... Do i need to flash other band? Mine is china set and using celcom You need to make sure you have upgraded your sim in order to support 4G network. It's free for celcom. Just go ahead to the nearest celcom center. |

QUOTE(apisfires @ Aug 18 2014, 02:19 PM) If she doesn't like it, I'd like to buy it from you, if my China OPO still got network issues. I hope you'd be kind with the price. =) QUOTE(shapeq91 @ Aug 18 2014, 02:23 PM) Ya on paper they are almost the same.but for real which one is better? anyone got both fone already?? You need to know that you'll never be able to change ROM on the Mi 4. If you like the Nexus or pure Android user interface, your choice with Mi 4 would be very limited. You can only use Google now launcher and that's it. But Mi 4 camera will undoubtedly be very good. Coz I owned Mi 3 and the photo are just amazing. I missed it. |

QUOTE(shapeq91 @ Aug 15 2014, 11:16 AM) oh look! i guess newer updates addressed the issue. http://www.lowyat.net/2014/08/f-secure-con...r-data-uploads/ QUOTE(shapeq91 @ Aug 18 2014, 02:39 PM) I've been using Mi 3 for nearly 2 months and since you're asking me, yes, I think its better than OPO. i mean, its pretty easy to get a photo to look good with Mi 3. i cant say the same for OPO.anyways, both OPO and Mi 3 camera does provide pretty extensive manual settings in the camera. It is especially useful if you have an experience handling a DSLR, which if that's case, you'll love all these manual settings. like i do. Ok, both got slow exposure, but Mi 3 range is even wider, you can control from 1/5000s P/S: all photos below have been resized for easy upload. original size: 10mp (wide). new size: 2mp I forced high shutter speed in this photo to darken the areas which is not of my highlight. Only problems here are the windows not very clean. HDR on, on a cloudless day. All white, alright. on HDR. I slowed the shutter speed a lil, with ISO at 100. and pan. notice the van is sharp, background blurred. macro shot. on HDR. air painting with fireworks. coz baby u r fireworks. HDR ON only. no other settings allowed in HDR. so everything else is default. Mi 3 got manual focus (for photo mode only), but OPO doesn't. OPO have 4k video, and slow mo video at 1080p (720p) and 720p (120fps). Mi 3 only 1080p n no slow mo. ISO on Mi 3 is wider range from 100 to 3200, while OPO from 100 to 1600 only (but this can be compensated with slower shutter speed). There are more things I'd like to highlight for Mi 3 camera but I don't have the phone anymore. and i forgot the details. all of the above are those I can recall. Below were the only screenshot I have of the camera settings. QUOTE(xxdesire @ Aug 18 2014, 02:49 PM) I kinda agree with the camera on Mi3 compare to 1+1. (my sis have a Mi3, and during my 1+1 play time, I tested both out) Exactly. When I got Mi 3, it was the first time I knew that there are phones that have so many manual settings that usually only DSLR can offer. So when I wanna change to OPO, I already set my mind to low my expectation in the camera department. Then I discovered slow exposure is at least available and I'm relieved but to my dismay, I can't set the shutter speed to my heart's desire (which Mi 3 offers).IMHO, CM camera software is... not bad, but not that good either. They have been improving throughout the years. QUOTE(mydragoon @ Aug 18 2014, 02:52 PM) i've seen some mi3 camera shots (supposedly good ones shared on the net). they weren't really impressive. You're right. I'm still figuring out what settings is best just to match what Mi 3 can offer me last time.i've seen good shots by OnePlus that was ahared on the net... dem good. but... seriously, tried taking photos on OnePlus... under bright conditions, the camera is OK. but low lights... its quite disappointing. the noise is quite obvious. and my really, really main issue with OnePlus camera is... its dem slow to start up. i was hoping that with such high end specs, one can immediately launch the camera and take photos (like s4) but sadly... i find the camera a bit too slow for my liking. QUOTE(mydragoon @ Aug 18 2014, 03:17 PM) that's what I think too. QUOTE(Xirality @ Aug 18 2014, 03:53 PM) No for me, I don't even want to try it after fiddle around for a minute. Their UI is too cartoonish. So you haven't actually used the phone for a while? and what does the UI have to do with the camera photo quality?CM all the way look, i hate its UI as much as you do, especially since it's mimicking iOS with the no app drawer thing. and the fact i couldn't install any other ROMs on it is why I'm with OPO now. but if we're talking about camera, let's simply discuss it without prejudice would be best i think. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Aug 19 2014, 08:47 PM) using... yes, I shared 1-2 days back... connection was kinda bad on the phone. where my note 2 could get some decent signal, it was barely registering on the OnePlus One. but I wasn't sure if it's telco or phone. I'm using celcom and I have the same problem as you are. I have already applied many suggested "fixes" like the one posted on the first page but to no avail. Shit's still the same. =(and when got signal, it bounced between E & H+. QUOTE(kazarboys @ Aug 19 2014, 09:05 PM) i have the exact problem as you describe. Dunno if it telco issue for this days. That happened to me earlier today. And that's the first time it happened to me. Not a network problem in my case though. Why? Coz I tried to listen to whatsapp voice message and put the phone to my ear but it's still silent too. Only loudspeaker working at that time. After reboot, it's already ok.Do u have issue with call also? When call the person can hear but you cannot hear the person? This post has been edited by lowyard: Aug 20 2014, 01:38 AM |

QUOTE(Anonymous34 @ Aug 20 2014, 06:38 PM) NightFelix I think you should let him use colour os coz I have read here somewhere that people said the camera on colour oasis much better than the one on CM11S.Should I buy a china unit OnePlus One with ColorOS? Or should I get the international version and flash it with ColorOS? My dad is looking forward for a OPO from Find 7. The battery consumption is just too high. |

QUOTE(xxdesire @ Aug 22 2014, 12:34 AM) Depends. Need to compare SOT and phone usage. And settings. Everyone uses their phone differently. Exactly. It differs by usage pattern. Every time if someone wants to compare battery life, it'd be really helpful to provide a screnshot of Screen On Time, the battery graph and battery usage by app. Refer to the way sifus here posts their battery life. Maybe he/she can push shorter time (say 18hours~1day) but they're heavy usage type of people (gaming, long music time, etc). Wifi or data network. While some user able to push to 1~2 days however they're medium/light usage type where just for social, browsing, light music/gaming and etcetc. Get the gist~ QUOTE(Chyan @ Aug 22 2014, 12:59 AM) Yeah. My idle time is only 3%. Youtube, 1080p videos, 60fps encodes etc. My multimedia consumption super high. I've never flashed different kernels too. Would like to know if it really helps and if it'd still allow ota to be installed naturally.Btw, anybody using franco kernel here? I might try it out. I presume it still can make me update OTA whilst having to use a custom kernel. Never really flashed any custom kernels over stock roms and only had experience with custom roms. Btw if you guys can remember, I used to have sot nearing 7 hours most of the time but now it's just not possible anymore after the 30o update . Always hover around 4 hours plus now. Damn. QUOTE(vostro78 @ Aug 21 2014, 10:56 PM) Tonight just receive xiao mi earphone and currently testing on it. Xiao mi earphone boost up more bass then my Sony earphone.... Will listen more to compare out later. I'm waiting for mine to arrive. Can't wait! This post has been edited by lowyard: Aug 22 2014, 01:41 AM |

QUOTE(esdome @ Aug 22 2014, 01:19 PM) I guess. At least that's what twrp told me right after I flashed 33r. So, following the twrp suggestions, I let it reflashed root. Once I booted up, root is there. So I simply re-enable xposed. I have a high expectations for this update. Hope it solves a lot of problem. Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Aug 22 2014, 05:22 PM) Because this is an incremental update. The size of the update explains itself ; 66MB. Simply put, the one we got is not a complete ROM, but just a patch for existing 30o, which in turn, once installed, it'll qualify the system as 33r.Correct me if I'm wrong. |
