Why can't they roll out updates for all at once like Apple does?

QUOTE(lowyard @ Aug 23 2014, 02:22 AM) [attachmentid=4105329] Sorry but can't help wondering what did you meant by 'his' on the right.. Mine is on the left. His on the right. Everything is great now. Had to flash stock 30o and then side load 33r on his device. So if any one of you guys need my help, you can come over to my place, get to know each other, chit chat, and get it done. =) This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Aug 23 2014, 08:06 AM |

QUOTE(lowyard @ Aug 23 2014, 08:34 AM) yeah i bet we can learn a lot from each other during meet ups. What irks me is that by flashing our firmware manually sometimes will prevent future OTA updates like what happen to some of our forummers here. That is what that is preventing me from doing so.yeah we really should. let's pick a place n time n lets do it. actually its more on luck also. i mean, he pm me for help n i ask him location. guess what, he says he's in bandar tun hussein onn with his gf chilling out together. so i was like, i'm just minutes away from them so why not. My phone is on the left with the Android L navigation bar. His phone is on the right; where i helped him to restock to 30o before going 33r. heheh actually i also almost panic when the fastboot flash system.img got stuck. then i tried to turn on the phone but it wont go pass boot screen. i kept my cool n browse the net for solution n then decided to just flash it again for the 2nd time. success. then i turned it on and everything is well again. i was like fuh thank god everything went ok. |

QUOTE(lipfung @ Aug 23 2014, 11:18 AM) On 33R, notice that the battery life is more of less the same.. Still draining 5% in 6 hours of sleeping time idle. 5% battery drain is fine to me. With background processes going on' that would be acceptable. U don't expect 0% drain for 6 hours of sleep do you?WiFi On, mobile signal at full bar throughout the night. Nothing stayed awake, as my screen is the one consuming the most battery. Maybe expectation too high on the 33R.. What a let down. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Aug 23 2014, 04:15 PM |

QUOTE(ButanicaBanzai @ Aug 23 2014, 05:42 PM) I'm still on XNPH25R and still no OTA for XNPH30O. Tried manually flashing through stock recovery and it gives me this error that footer is wrong and verification failed. Read through the post. A forummer is willing to assist anyone who wanna flash their phones.Tried another edited zip file gives me error status 7. Any ideas on how to get the update and kind enough to give instructions if it requires the use of a computer? I'm on a Mac BTW. |

Here is the difference in the 3O0 and 33R in battery usage and standby time. Of coz the first picture is of the 3O0 and the second one is the 33R. I noticed huge improvements in battery usage and of course the battery drain issue is eliminated.

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Aug 25 2014, 03:23 PM) Ok I guess u will only know if u apply both and do a drop test? Anybody volunteer to do that? Lol Good idea. How about the oleophobic coating? Both just as smooth? For those who experience their oleophobic coating wearing off, just apply rainx to your glass sp, it will renew the coating which will last another 6-12 months depends on usage. Could be the same shit that all Glass SP manufacturers apply on the Glass SPs and then sell you at cut throat prices. |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Aug 25 2014, 02:47 PM) I recommend Neomemos Glass SP. Once you go Glass, you won't look back to Film. There are 2 person at Garage Sales selling. Try type Neomemos and find them. I disagree to that. Glass Sp makes the phone bulkier no matter how thin the SP is. And past experiences with Glass SP tells me that the edges are always sharp. Whatever it is, if you would want to buy a glass sp, make sure you buy a branded one as the cheapo ones are normally of inferior quality. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Aug 25 2014, 05:22 PM |

QUOTE(cougar richard @ Aug 26 2014, 10:48 AM) Gotten my 64GB white Cina mali (direct from OPO China Official website) unit last sat. It came with ColorOS and yes, it came WITH app drawer. I triple confirmed that it has drawer and even prompted to update upon booting and after updated, the app drawer still EXIST. How much for the total cost of bringing your own OPO from China? How much does the cases costs?Next I did was to unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery and update to 33R using zip file. But I noticed that the fastboot mode is till remain ColorOS bootloader as there was no CM Logo when I was on that fastboot mode. I guess need to flash image instead to completely change it? Wechat app voice message cannot be captured but the other party one can be heard even on 33R revision. The NFC is able to beam phone to phone but however, it seems like having problem in launching app when detecting NFC-enabled card or passport. The detection sound keep beeping non-stop but no pop up screen to select which NFC app to launched corresponding to the detection. Googled and it lead me to JIRA page that seems to have this issue since on the 25R revision. So anybody care to test out your phone for this? I also purchased these official back case as below: [attachmentid=4109192] The protection of official back case is not comprehensive, top and bottom is revealing. The grip is kinda slippery and I am worry each time I holding the phone as if it is going to slip out of my palm. So now I will start hunting for another case which provides full protection and as well as the grip. Edit: Yellow tint does exist on the bottom. The inspection date was on 30/7/2014. It is noticeable but not too serious, I shall just wait to see if it goes away after some time of using. QUOTE(mydragoon @ Aug 26 2014, 11:01 AM) i'm waiting for pricing confirmation from CruzerLite. colours will be limited to: Nice... * clear * black * red * blue * green * smoke once done, i'll probably create a sales thread. this is the BUGDROID tpu case. or should i start to collect orders first? i'm only thinking of doing one batch of 9 cases. but might do 2 batches (18 cases) if there's demand (helps reduce shipping too). not sure on pricing yet but it'll be based on the pack of 3 which gives best value for money. see: http://www.amazon.com/Cruzerlite-Bundle-Bu...ne+bundles+of+3 |
