hi. just wanna ask :
1) how was the environment, facilities, management, staff at mmu melaka recently? i heard since the president has change, its getting worst.
2) is it easy to get parking?
3) if i took banking n finance course is it easy to get job? what are the job prospect?
4) i just realized banking n finance are not offered for this upcoming oct intake. What if i took human resource since i saw the course structure for 1st sem every subject is same, after that i change my course to banking n finance in sem 2? Can or not?

Environment and facilities is good. You will have all the basics covered although facilities are quite old. Management is bad, quite bad. But so too is other university. You just have to get used to hoe they work and get on with life.

No. Parking in campus is extremely hard to find. It is easier to score in exam than to find a parking. However, you do have plenty of parking slot outside the campus, you just have to walk abit more that's it.

Sorry can't answer on job prospect.

I was in similar situation before. The answer is can. But here is a few possible problems that you will face.

1st, priority will be given to new students by the time you look to transfer. It means that slot will be made available for new students first, when all are registered and there are still slots, then only they will entertain you.

2nd is that most likely they will not offer in next year October intake as well. However, there are certain pre-requisite subjects that you need to take in order to move to banking and finance 2nd year. AND these subjects by right are taken in your 1st year 3rd semester. All things considered here, you may have to finish first year, then stop for one semester, wait for march offer then only enroll. If there's no more slot for march, you may have to defer your studies to June. Or you can juggle around your subject and take similar subs first after your first year. But doing so and not following your course structure is highly not recommended. Especially with the new system that give priority to students following course structure. Can get it?

3rd, like I said there are certain subjects that requires you to score certain grade.

4th is once you are settled with your group of friends, it will be difficult for you to leave the surroundings. If you are adamant to change then that should not be a problem.

That is not a fair statement on the management side. At least elaborate on why so. I believe you are looking from student's point of view only.

And on the parking, it is easier to score in exam? doh.gif i don't understand why parking is one of the main grouses in MMU. It is unrealistic to expect there is a parking bay for all students. If it is far, then walk.

eh you need to read my statement again regarding parking leh... rclxub.gif Since when i said it is a problem and since when i expect parking slots for all students. Im precisely asking for him to walk more. I said its hard to find im campus parking but there are alot of parking slot outside campus. Is that complaining?

Furthermore, its almost impossible to locate a parking space within campus after 8.30 am. Have you tried before?

Management being bad is clear for everyone to see. I still remembered last time the admin would avoid all 30 of my phone calls per day before my enrollment. the recent implementation of the corp shirt and camsys are clear cut examples as well. There are many more than i can look into and say, hey, they could have done things much better. But it is virtually the same in other Uni. So i just ask him to get on with his studies and adapt to the way the work.

You still remember the forummer who came here earlier and failed to get his refund, or any reply on his deposit?

haha. he may be asking since he is deciding whether he is driving to the campus or not. Or choosing whether should he stay near to the campus or further, hence the question ma. biggrin.gif

See, your very short sentence already included two departments. Plus the refund issues on finance dept, its already three there. One thing is for sure, most if not all, who came in will have complaints about the management, i think you can't argue that. Whether it is based on rational ground its a different issue. So it would be safer for these potential students to have lower expectations first, rather than giving them high hopes.

Seriously anything you provide for the students also they will have complaints one, by hook or by crook they will grind out one complaint. tongue.gif

Is the tarred parking lot at taman dahlia fully occupied?

Anyway, sooner or later i gonna get the security to issue summon to the cars parking by the road between main hall/siswa and block B. If they don't know how to park properly, then it is time to fine them.

I don't consider them as management ler. Management refers to the top people up there. They are doing a pretty decent job in running a private university.

Sometimes its full. Most of the time its not. the area you mentioned is still okay ler since the road is wide. You should complain on the road to the tarred parking lot at taman dahlia there. People parking their car on one side of the road. I've seen myself car's tyre dropping to the drain to avoid opposite direction car because the road is just too narrow. sweat.gif

I cant see what top management have done. But the implementation of resource fees and the issues raised are probably part of their problems as well? Should have seen it coming.

Btw, just saw someone posted this. http://www.therakyatpost.com/news/2014/03/...MI1wB9.facebook

sweat.gif The tar road there is the main problem. But if don't allow them to park there, then the parking slot behind will not be able to meet with demand ady. I think that is why the school also allow them to park there.

my exam till this saturday. shakehead.gif But nice timetable lah since got 5 days in between. Important days for last minute studies. tongue.gif
