That was the same series Rescue Orange that was release together with my watch. Did you notice the 4 stars?
*
the stars are probably based on generals.
so 4-stars like 5500 / 5600 etc.
3-stars for 6900 etc.
but i think its sacrilege that ga-110 gets a star...then again i guess that says enough that ga-110 is one of gshocks best modern sellers.

Any nice  and cheaper g shock model there?
And for everyone, thid is g shock thread but why is Timex more expensive than g shock/casio here?

In US timex are much cheaper, and they comment that the build quality is not as good as g shock
*
cos need import from further away? or maybe get more tax? no idea.
but the popular timex weekender can find usd14.99 in factory outlets here.
only timex i got is a expedition shock vibration alarm... usd39 only.
got pros n cons with gshock.
cons of timex probably buttons too easy to press, can accidentally activate if wear thick clothing.

pros...hmm...pro no1... way way way better negative lcd.
pro no2... can hide functions u dont want to see... like alarm 2 or chrono or timer...
pro no3...mineral crystal...

That's quite cheap for timex comparef to hear. What's the model name for expedition shock and color? The cheap weekender?

What's the shop name? Where is it located? I want to get help from my friend there.

The timex got better function than g shock.
*
http://www.timex.com/watches/expedition-sh...ng-alarm-t49950

woodbury commons...new york / new jersey.

timex doesn't have better functions, just more user friendly.

also one more thing it has thats quite useful if travel often.
can have 3 diff times saved, and change each to main time very easily.

Nice looking one. And The vibration is very good to have. Discreet.

I mean timex got better function in term of timer such as hydration timer and easier to use stopwatch. G shock need to check features as different modules got different limitation and features.
*
i hide the hydration timer tongue.gif

forgot to mention another thing i like about the timex... u can choose date format as either DDMM or MMDD...
unlike gshock forced down the throat with MMDD ala american style.
kinda ironic American brand lets u choose date format...
but one thing timex i wish can do is let u choose indiglo duration instead of always 2-seconds.

ya let us know if u got any success using toothpaste, cos on gshocks i read differing results...some work some dont.
then again, unless its a collectible... i wouldn't worry about scratches... afterall a gshock is made to be abused.

Hi guys do you have any recommendation for gshock shop seller in Penang? Or online seller?

I came across the Lelong seller Gpeople as below and their price is cheap.
Are they selling the authentic stuff ?
http://www.lelong.com.my/casio-g-shock-ga-...4-01-Sale-P.htm
Thanks
*
authentic but grey market, so if u don't care for local warranty... go ahead.

Anyone here have both the g shock gd 350 and timex vib e shock xl?

How does it wear? Is the shock xl to big when you wear it compared to the gd 350?
*
xl is big.
i believe u can easily find review online showing size difference.

I did read the review and comparison in watchuseek. But I read that the diameter for both is 50mm.

I can wear the gd350. But from what i read, the gd350 dont look as big on the wrist. Is that your experience or others experience too?

Gd350 only lack auto repeat timer
*
xl is definitely bigger than rangeman...and i believe rangeman is bigger than gd350.

add in a pic comparing...
u can see by measurement almost same size...but xl looks bigger simply cos it has a bigger crystal.

My Giez GS-500 button(side) have been missing, anyone know how to repair its or how to get the replacements parts (if available)?

Been asking Marco but no luck.
*

if pacparts or tiktox also don't have, ur only option is to go ebay find donor piece.

Finally spotted a DW5600 in a major KL/PJ mall today.

a DW5600EG at Mid Valley. RM340 after 10% discount  shocking.gif
*
that one marco set?
grey market set can easily get below rm260.
now currency dropping again, should go back to rm230 or below when new stocks come.

Im going for a swim and let it get same taste of motor cycle vibration and road bumbs ( i daily ride to work )

My previous watch is Seiko automatic but was advice that automatic do not have those shock resistance.
might spoil faster especially  those vibration on the motorcycle.
*
swim with it? maybe its gonna slide everywhere on ur wrist...
maybe should buy the rubber strap for it tongue.gif

Do you guys think the steel band on GST-110D will fit on the GST-110 (resin band) ? I'm thinking to get the resin band ones then maybe change to the steel band in the future biggrin.gif
*
i dont see any reason why it wont.
and wouldnt it make more sense / cost effective to buy the model on steel band, then only buy resin band later?
unless the colorway of the resin band model is what u prefer.

My concern is regarding the adjust-ability of the metal band, I have really slim wrist so I am afraid that it won't fit even if I adjusted it cry.gif but is it true that the all the links in the metal band is removable?
*
yea all can be removed.
my wrist is also small, 6.5" only...still depends on how it looks overall on u.
ie. workout get bigger forearms and arms tongue.gif

To analog digital owner , do you guys found that it is hard to see the time at dim situation because of the led light ? I am going to own a GA series but some of the review shows that it is hard to look at the time at dim situation. Thanks
*
not all ana digi is like that...only for the recent ones - except for the G-steel.
but yea its hard to see cos only lights up the face and u have to look hard for the hands.

older ana digi can light up the LCD, and theres only one that is still in production...the G-300.

as for the G-steel...

Not really. From the top of my head, the Gulfmaster and Mudmaster lights up the LCD as well. However, these two are neither old nor entry level.

cos those ones fall under diff category - master of G tongue.gif
normal ana-digi as per casio definition only these.
http://www.casio-intl.com/asia-mea/en/wat/...ck/st_ana-digi/

btw, the mudmaster is also abit bad at the lighting...cos the 6 marker blocks quite abit of the light.
thats what really irritated me when i was looking at it thinking to buy or not...in the end was a not.

Haha. Yeah. That's why I said "neither old nor entry level".

I don't have a Mudmaster. Wanted to buy one but I'm saving for something else. smile.gif
*
also the mudmasters i saw, all are bad at second hand hitting the markers.
i know the hands can be reset, but reading on wus... not many had any luck getting it aligned.
i think i may instead target the new quad sensor gulfmaster gwn-q1000... but i think the price is going to be almost rm4k...so zzz.

I like the features on the new Gulfmaster (ABCD sensors!) but somehow, the watch's dial design doesn't appeal to me. I doubt it'll be RM4k or so. My guess is that it should be around RM2k.
*
confirm nowhere near rm2k.
usd retail is expected to be usd899 or so.
