No. Screen filtering actually disables reflections, bloom and AA as well. Disabling it actually makes the game looks worse than the PS4 version (not substantially, just marginally).

I hope Kojipro will allow other AA solutions, rather than just their custom one which is tied to so many other settings.

Anyways, dropping SSAO to high from Extra High is a better option as there's a big performance improvement on that with very minimal image quality loss.

Its sad to see the franchise end like this but it was a good 27 year run.

I wonder if it concludes the story of big boss if mgs 4 concludes the whole storyline including solid snake.

MGS 2 was the last game, then MGS 3 was the last game, Kojima said. 4 was also the last game, and then 5 comes out.

I don't even have a DVD/Bluray drive anymore like many years ago. But you are right, installing from disc would be faster but then physical are bulky. Imagine you have 200 games and you have how many boxes and disc with you? How fast you can find the games you want? What if the disc scratches? That is why older days people make backups of their games so that the original are safe. There are really pro and cons of physical and digital.

Digital is going to be the benefit because everywhere is the internet and there's always the "Cloud Storage" for backups.
