If you r referring to the 1992 Marvel Masterpieces full 100 card base set, 1995 Marvel Fleer Ultra X-Men 150 Card Set & 1995 Marvel Metal Inaugural Base 138 Card Set - should be within the price range of RM100 each set depending on the condition of the cards & depending on "Willing Buyer - Willing Seller" situation. If together with inserts, obviously it'll be more expensive.

But alas, Malaysian market is very small & there are not many collectors whose willing to pay premium price for these items. I have those sets & many more. They're in boxes cos used to keep them in folders until the plastic folders becomes brittle...

Showing off some of my collection. Used to know plenty of people whom collect Trading Cards but alas don't know where they've gone to. Maybe they've given up collecting cards. Here's some of my sets. Enjoy...

Finally somebody decided to join in the band wagon. Nice cards!! I have the same Fleer Ultra set. I especially like the X-Force subset cos it was done by one of my many many many favourite artist - Dan Brereton. The X-Men: Blue Team subset was done by none other than Jim Steranko. The X-Factor subset was done by Joe Phillips - not my favourite artist. Hahahahaha...
Any other inserts/special card do want to show off?

mchw08:
Would love to see your Marvel/DC card collection someday. U seemed 2b pretty round-up collector. I know 4 fact that u collect diecast. And I also c that u collect a bunch of other stuffs too. Nowadays, I go online & purchase those hard-to-get trading card inserts or insert cards 2 complete my sets.

I'll scan my Alex Ross signature card from DC Kingdom Come Xtra & post it here one of these days. It's one of my most prized possession. I'm a huge fan of Alex Ross. Bought a lot of signed stuffs those days.

You must b a comic collector too I presumed? I collect comics but unlike some collector, I go 4 artwork 1st. Story Telling is not what I usually look 4 1st.

Nice collection of insert cards. Yes, I know about Wal-mart or K-Mart special cards subset for this Fleer x-Men series 1. But the sets are quite expensive cos they are only fund in the States.

U have Joe Jusko Marvel Masterpieces 1992 - Spidey vs Venom. I used 2 have the full sets but now only Wolverine vs Sabretooth left. Tempted to get the set from ebay. The new inserts sets are quite nice too but unfortunately none of the comic's speciality shop are bringing in the cards anymore.

I see u have 2 Magnetos coloured hologram. I managed to complete the sets when they 1st came out here. Here's the Wolverine 3-D card from the same set.

I stopped collecting for a long time and when I "woke up", there are so many trading cards series which I missed out. Even Mind Shop stopped bringing in those trading cards due to poor sales. Unless its 20 years back. smile.gif

I used to have a set of X-Men series 2 but sold them back then. Then when I went to UK a few years back, went to a small comics and toys fair and found some stalls selling loose trading cards. I spotted Magneto and each was selling UKP 2.5 only. Got em plus other special inserts which I didnt get. Your Wolvie 3D card is the very hard to find one. Sweet!! drool.gif

I will highly consider to get the 1st Marvel Masterpieces Joe Jusko set. The only set I have is the Hildebrant series.

Ironically, Wolverine was my last missing piece and I got it from my UK trip.

X-Men chromium but all the normal cards turned yellowish...i guess must be due to the oily substance which I felt when opening all the packets. Only special cards escape this legacy virus.. tongue.gif

I have a complete set of X-Men Series 1 & 2. I was kinda INTO X-Men especially pre-Wildstorm days. Yunno when those guys were still with Marvel (Jim Lee (Wildcats), Mark Sylvestri (Cyberforce), Todd McFarlane (Spawn), Whilce Portacio (Wetworks), Rob Lefield (Youngblood), Erik Larsen (Savage Dragon) to name a few). Always love anything comes from Jim Lee & Mark Sylverstri.

I sold or trade my special inserts with fellow collectors. Most of the time, I sold my stuffs cheaper than anyone else cos I just want to make friends. Love making friends then.

My chromium Sinister Observations set also suffers from the same fate. It became a bit yellowish. My holograms - same thing. But most inserts managed to escape such problems.

Anyway, nice collections you have there. My sets are all tucked & stacked in the storeroom. Maybe one fine day I'll rummage thru the boxes & come up with all my extra cards which I know I have plenty biggrin.gif

Added on February 21, 2012, 3:49 pmBTW, nice Lethal Weapons set. I'm missing Wolvie, Cable, Random & Psylocke from my set.

Anti-Gravity BxxBs indeed. Remember at one time Marvel produced Marvel Swimsuit Special with Silvestri's cover art of Storm? That was nice. Since we are on the topic, I think the best guys in this industries when it comes to drawing hot babes are Adam Hughes & Frank Cho!!

Here's a pix of the said Swimsuit Special.

Top: L2R Archangel - Boris Vallejo, Mr Sinister/Goblin Queen - Greg & Tim Hildebrandt, Cyclops - Marc Sasso, Dazzler - Boris Vallejo, Domino - Julie Bell (wife of Boris Vallejo), Jean Grey - Julie Bell, Magneto - Marc Sasso & Mystique - Julie Bell

Nice tripych! Is the card bigger than the normal trading cards? Looks slightly bigger - Better view eh?

And back to JIM LEE trading cards, at one time Marvel offer four issues of comic sized magazine featuring all the artwork of that series.

I like Adam Hughes too, whatever babes he draws are BIG....nak gonna milky explode onto the readers face. Others i like would be Jim Balent..yummy Catwoman. thumbup.gif
*
Yeah Marvel did produced Jim Lee's X-Men Trading Card unto a regular sized comic books & yes it's a 4 issue book. I have them. Liked it so much then. Now it's there somewhere in my boxes of comics.

Adam Huges... Ahhh... what can u say about this guy. He started to draw better looking @ hot babes when he found his new art style. In the 80s, we was not very famous.

Ahhh... The HUNT. Always loved the hunting part. It gives the thrill of searching & the sense of accomplishment once you've managed to latch your hands on the missing comics or card. Those were the days... But alas... that days has passed. Now, all u need to do is, hunt thru the net. Find whatever comics/cards that you want & press the right button & just wait for Mr Postman to deliver them to your house.

BTW, do any of you guys out there have these cards? I'm missing Superman & Wonder Woman to complete the set. It's from 1996 Skybox Kingdom Come.

Yup... All cards, produced in 1996, are reproductions from the Now-Classic Kingdom Come series. The many levels of inserts are very nice. In fact I managed to get the Official Alex Ross Autograph insert. The 6-card special set mentioned earlier are all never-seen new art work.

sounds cool.......... how i wish Ross would do the Marvel Earth, Paradise and Universe X card set. would like all the cover art to form a gigantic piece..  used to scan those covers and combined them with photoshop and reprint out as giant poster.. but most of it cant connect properly.. sighh.. :S

I was mesmerised by Alex Ross after Marvels 4 issue ltd series in 1994. Even bought the hardcover version of it. Then came Kingdom Come in 1996, again I was starstruck. Bought the whole series plus the Slip Case Edition which contains his signature plus the Skybox Trading card sets. Then started buying almost everything done by the Man. Remember the lenticular cover Superman Forever #1 & Batman: No Man's Land? Not only I bought multiple issues of the books, I even bought the signed edition reproduction of the many pics that made the lenticular of both Supes & Batsy. My wall is decorated with Alex Ross's stuffs. That's me & Alex Ross...... AND Yes it would've been great if someone would make the effort of producing cards based on those series u've mentioned earlier.

I have some of the Witchblade done by Turner. 1-2 issues on Fathom. DC's The Flash and Identity Crisis & Marvel's Wolverine: Origins. He has his own unique style of drawing characters but of course his dynamics when it comes to be drawing babes!!

Joe Chiodo... What is there NOT to say about him. He seldom draws for comics but did plenty on covers & trading cards. He sets the benchmark for a lot of other artist to follow. I think Turner may have followed his footsteps. I have most of his works on Marvel especially on Conan - One of my most favourite comic character.

Poison with some picture now. I've ordered thru ebay for this set becos I used to have some of the cards but I just couldn't find it. It's there somewhere, buried under something in my store room. Paid for it on the Feb 10th & was dispatch from States Feb 15. Still waiting for it.

That would be S4 - Metalhead. I know I have that but as I've said earlier, I don't know where I put them. Maybe when I find the time to search for it again in my unorganised store room, I'll pass you the missing card now that Mr Postman have just delivered the set! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif Hahahaha... I'll snap some photos later & post it.

This is not a very nice set but it brings back memories. Characters from X-Men 2099... I have the 1st issue. The artwork by Ron Lim was not exceptionally great. He's not included in my Top 50 artist wink.gif . I bought Silver Surfer Vol.3 becos I liked Silver Surfer. Wonder what happens to him now cos I don't see him drawing comics anymore.

U like most collectors then must be a regular at Mind Shop or maybe Comics Corner. Maybe we've bumped into each other then, who knows. Nowadays I'd buy comics from Earth638 & I'd visit them most probably once every 2 maybe 3 months biggrin.gif
