Hi guys, I know that there is an existing thread to discuss and showcase your Macs'.... But it's dominated by present time Macs' to which, these Macs' of yesteryear have no match, instead they merely get embarrassed by the performance and power of the current Macs'.

However, I am sure that many of you guys still have your Power PC and pre OS X Macs' due to sentiments, e.g an eMac, iMac G3, iMac G4, iMac G5, Power Mac, Mac Mini, Apple Cube and those really vintage Macintoshes.

Well...now is the time to show it off and flaunt it... Post your older Macs' (Pre-intels) here. Tell us your tale about it!

The below are some of my Power PC Macs',

--------------------------------------------------------------

......an eMac 1.25ghz, running Leopard 10.5.8, it does not serve any purpose rather than the joy that i still have it running ! rolleyes.gif

---------------------------------------------------------------
...another aged Mac of mine, It's an Apple 17" crt monitor. I believe it was produced some where in 1999.

---------------------------------------------------------------
This is another Crt monitor from Apple (the one on the left). Its the final model of crt monitor from Apple! Quite a nice design, with a see-through back.

The one on the right is an Imac G3, 600 Mhz model. It still boots fine, running on Panther 10.2, coupled with a dual boot of the OS9. One of the best loved Mac of mine.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Another Imac G3 of mine. This is a 500 mhz model. Was lucky to get it, but this Imac needs to be meddled with ....can't boot...

Then i managed to get a third one, which boots fine....

----------------------------------------------------------------
This my collection of the PowerMac G4 Trio !
Also in the picture is my G5 Dual Core ...and an ancient Apple Crt monitor..

----------------------------------------------------------------
Twins ? Nah... The one on the left is a 17' PPC iMac, it is the eyesight model. The one on the right is an 17' intel (doesn't fit in this thread..but since its in the pic tongue.gif ) . The one at the far left at the back is another 17' PPC but it's lcd is gone....but still boots !

---------------------------------------------------------------

This would be a Mac Mini G4, 1.25 Ghz, running 10.5.8 Its the one at the back, the one at the fore front is an Intel. This G4 is more of a music player for me.

----------------------------------------------------------------

An iMac G4 20", this Mac is rare and much sought after, further this is the 20" model which is even more rare locally. I have only come across one or two of these 20" model. Really one of my favourites.... The 20" model comes with an external eyesight.

I also have a 15" model. Both boots and are in good state.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

An iBook G3 14", very few of this exist compared to the iBook G4. Mine is ailing though sad.gif its a common problem in the G3 and G4 iBooks, the issue of the graphic chip, though there seems to be a few temporary work-around. Note that its not a slot load drive..

Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image
-----------------------------------------------------------------

A PowerBook G4 12" 867Mhz, got it second hand, 'how many hands' already... i dont know, but has been a lot of abuse. Has issues, but got it to boot externally.

But then i obtained a chance to steal another bargain for a much better PB G4....love the look.

------------------------------------------------------------------
This is an Xserve G4 ----> Apple's version of server, no more in production though. This the first model of the Xserve, its quite primitive compared to the final models of Intel Servers.

I did not expect to find this....but i did....had quite an experience with restoring this.. Now its placed at the back of my iMac as a backup machine for my contents in the iMac, which my whole network of machines can access, while running in Raid 1 Mirroring.

It runs Mac OS X Server 10.5.8, the server version of Leopard. The default wallpaper is in blue...

These images below were taken from the web....this collection was for sale in ebay ! Dnt ask me the price ! ....These images reveal on how crazy can a collector getttt !!

Yeah, running with 10.5.8 Leopard, still runs smooth. It's more of a collection. Originally shipped with Panther 10.3 smile.gif

Oh Damn ! You've got the mother-load of it. Nice, real nice collection.

Love the Macintosh Classic, not an easy piece to obtain; there is guy in Mudah.com who has put a tag of rm6k for a se30!

I'd say it is still fine for documentation, watching a movie and light browsing.... Not that I use it for any of those. Do you have any pre-Intel Macs.....
