Just want to ask, has anyone ordered from Robotkingdom? How long does the delivery take? How is the parcel packaging?

QUOTE(jhcj @ Aug 12 2014, 08:29 PM) I've ordered many times. No problem on their packaging, they use lots of Styrofoam padding. As for shipment speed, it depends. EMS will arrive in 3-5 days. Normal shipment probably 2-3 weeks. Thanks! Who will be delivery the package in Malaysia? POS Malaysia or some other private company?QUOTE(tnsai @ Aug 14 2014, 07:34 AM) So guys, which 3rd party dinobots do you think you guys will be going for ? (non-MP scale) Probably Fans Project as I am not interested in the combiners considering that the dinobots arent actually combiners to begin with. I like the polish on the FP one which looks pretty good in the photos as the paint application is quite well done.FansProject? ToyWorld ? I've ordered FansProject one, but so far with some pics out, he looks a bit small to me.. some pics show he's not that much bigger than say FOC Grimmy but according to measurements, he should be at least a little bit taller than TW-Orion so I'm not sure if it's the angles or what. ToyWorld one looks interesting. The combiner aspect is certainly awesome, but from initial pics of their Sludge and Snarl the bot modes look very non descript which is probably due to TW needing to keep the combiner mode in mind. Hehe could use some thoughts and advice. With a great many things expected to come out int he next few months.. Quantron.. Utopia etc.. once has to make decisions and not just buy all huhuh T_T I might cancel it at the end as I saw some other interesting transformers to collect where I might go for the others instead. |

QUOTE(omichael @ Aug 14 2014, 05:03 PM) Anyone got feedback on Toyworld Orion and Hegemon? If you want Nemesis Prime, can try Maketoys one.Getting more and more tempted to order the Orion Nemesis repaint + Hegemon v2 ![]() ![]() ![]() Doesnt really look like the G1 version at all but I like the design, especially the cape. |

QUOTE(omichael @ Aug 14 2014, 07:06 PM) Thanks! Looks good aesthetically, better than the Toyworld one in fact. I dont know. But no G1 look makes it hard for an oldtimer like me to bite the bullet and buy one! After reading some IDW comics, I prefer IDW-like designs that most 3rd party does. It still feels like G1 in some ways but modernised a bit. Still, Maketoys Nemesis feels more like Fall of Cybertron style though. |

QUOTE(tnsai @ Aug 18 2014, 12:27 PM) Asking advice from bros here, I'm definitely down for the fansProject dinobots, but might consider getting one of the combiners. So the choice is between GCreations Shura King and ToyWorld's I am getting a FP because FP's version has better polish with a lot of the nice little detailing, has good articulation, the targetmaster is pretty neat gimmick and as far as I know, FP is a more consistent company in releasing decent products. I like the alt mode too, without all the big guns like another 3rd party. The bling bits are prone to scratches, as someone who had the con version of Columpio had scratches on the chest piece. For me at the moment, I'm torn. ToyWorld I've bought their stuff before. Some hits (Orion) and some misses (Swamper.. bad QC) but their dinobots is the smallest of the 3. Whereas GCreations has the size thing going for it, but new company(?) so not sure how it will be like.. WHat do you guys think? No point spending Rm300 for a figurine that doesnt look polished, IMO. TW's version looks too plain to me despite I dont mind the G1 design. Considering that I am not planning to collect all, I am not really interested in combiners as if its designed to be a combiners, the design will compromise the bot mode in some ways. I still like to have some flexibility to buy other transformers from Maketoys and PE. Still want to get Maketoys Nemesis then PE's Warden and eventually, their Scoponok. QUOTE(tnsai @ Aug 18 2014, 02:29 PM) Hehe boss, should go for the Warden first if you really want it. MIght be less/no reissue soon. Maketoy Nemesis i think will still have chance to get many months after its release (also seeing as there isn't a confrmed price from our retailers for it.. it might be a while before it gets released.. Utopia and Quantron already have price. ) PE's Warden is a must buy eventually but I kinda want to hold off now as I am spending too much on transformers to the point it is far more than the money I spent on diecast model cars. I dont mind if PE Warden is extinct as the recolor, Guardian will be out in October 2014 considering it is very hard to make up my mind on which one to buy. Both looks amazing with various pros and cons such as Warden alt modes, the massive tank and the head look better but Guardian's bot mode and the large cannon looks better. For Scoponok, I have to get the one with G1 color despite im ok with both Warden/Guardian colors. Guardian also looks better with the FP dinobots as a lot of dinobots does have a red chest like Guardian so they might look a bit more cohesive. Still, Warden is designed and colored like IDW's Fort Max so that really adds a lot to the butthurt.Agree with your points on FP, more or less the same reason they will be my main focus. But your opinion if you were to get a second set of dinbots the combiner ones.. which one would strike your fancy ? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I am intending to skip FP's Swoop though, did not like the 3D models so far but Slag will probably be preordered. The alt mode looked so cute like a chubby, angry triceratops. I thought Utopia is out by now? Quantron should be shipping these few months if I am not wrong. If I strike lottery and I want a Dinobot combiner, I'll go with Toyworld as their G1-like designs will look great beside the FP's FOC inspired dinobots despite the polish is not as good as FP. I do feel like selling my MP3 Starscream now to fund Warden. This is a really bad hobby IMO. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Aug 18 2014, 02:51 PM |

QUOTE(tnsai @ Aug 18 2014, 02:45 PM) yeahlar boss.. haha banyak kena poison.. Dinobots is one of my favorite team, but so far in terms of Masterpiece/G1/Animated etc etc never have a full set. So I'm excited to get a full set of dinobots hehe If I am not wrong, there are 2 third parties making MP sized dinobots. Their MP sized Slag looks damn good beside MP Grimlock. |

QUOTE(jhcj @ Aug 18 2014, 03:02 PM) No no, please dont poison me. QUOTE(omichael @ Aug 18 2014, 03:04 PM) Haha amen. I like to collect Transformer because I actually appreciate the engineering behind some of the better made ones that made them tick like my MP Starscream. Also, I like to collect them cause I used to love watching G1 until Beast Wars which I like to own some of the characters. Since I stopped watching transformers now, so I just collect whatever I find it looks nice.I love Transformers - yet a part of me can't justify why I still collect them. There is no intrinsic benefit to the hobby apart from appreciating the way these chunks of plastic can be unfolded into differently shaped chunks of plastic. And unless you design or customize your own figures, they don't make you smarter or more creative either. So... how much are you selling your MP3 Starscream for? I also collect diecast cars which also have no intrinsic value. It is just a hulk of expensive metal that does nothing at all to the point people call me an idiot for spending RM750 for one. Sure it doesnt do anything but it holds a sentimental value to me as I bought it because I was leaving Australia for a while and I want to keep something that defines Australian motorsports. That car I bought was the winner in a 1000km endurance race which is not an easy feat on the world's steepest and one of the more dangerous tracks in the world. If you lost control on the track, most likely you'll be hitting the concrete wall. Apparently, for that overpriced model car, the price will go up as time goes as it has an official and numbered certificate from the manufacturer as the stock in the market running low while it was driven by a very famous driver. If I am selling, i'll sell for RM400. Barely played transformer so most of the joints are quite tight. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Aug 18 2014, 03:25 PM |

QUOTE(tnsai @ Aug 18 2014, 03:32 PM) Lol. Eh I justify it because I like it. I know a lot of people who are absolutely only spending money on things they need. Saving for the future etc etc. Yes that is good, but sometimes you need to indulge on things. If you don't sometimes get things for yourself that you really like, what's the point of working hard? haha. As long as you are spending the money for the necessacities, i think it should be ok. That's my justification and it works on the missus Yeah, buying transformers is partly why i want to indulge on some things. Scale model cars are too pricey now while most companies QC is going downhill, might as well start transformers. |

QUOTE(omichael @ Aug 18 2014, 04:13 PM) Hehehe the biggest enemy of the Transformers is not cosmic rust... it's our wives... So, Unicorn isnt the biggest enemy of transformers? I have no idea how to make my wife appreciate TF. She doesn't even want me to display it because she says it's too "childish" and "nerdy" And yeah, Quake Wave is one of the most universally praised figures out there right now. But prices are insane, can only hope for a reissue at this point. Still forever alone, better buy more now. |

QUOTE(tnsai @ Aug 20 2014, 04:03 PM) i'd say ask Famitoy boss ah Kok on facebook or whatsapp him.. but he's.. sort of weird.. sometimes he replies you.. sometimes he doesn't.. Not just that, he always give very vague answers unfortunately in whether stock will come or not.I wanted to get PE Warden from him but at the end, I think I buy from robotkingdom easier. |

QUOTE(tnsai @ Aug 20 2014, 04:58 PM) They still carry m ost 3rd party stuff, but Ah Kok said before he will bring in no more MakeToys, FPJ stuff don't know why and one other brand, forget which. If he is not carrying other 3rd party brands, what else he can bring in? Maketoys and FP are probably the most commercialised third party as far as i know with multiple product releases. Other companies mostly have one product a year or so.As to why he doesn't like to reply most messages, could be I imagine everybody also message him until ver sien haha. It's difficult also , sunway giza not say for for me but not exactly near (Kelana Jaya). Last time wanted to c heck if he has some beast wars figures i wanted to buy.. msg him.. he say will check for me.. then no reply haha end up i just drive there .. lucky got hehe I dunno man, but I dont think i'll go there often if all he brings are Hasbro and Takara transformers. Any other good physical shops that brings in 3rd party? It is difficult to judge a transformer based on pictures to be honest. I didnt know that my PE's ASX not-Reflector are that tiny. |

QUOTE(tnsai @ Aug 20 2014, 07:56 PM) Oh yeah now I remember he's not bringing in MMC anymore also. Different type of store lor Famitoy. More on official stuff with some very nice olders tuff there. So he is not bringing in MMC, FP and Maketoys. So far that's the only things I've bought from Famitoy anyways. Also Famitoy sometimes seem to get some good deals. Managed to preorder wheeljack and Bumblebee from him at a very unbelievable price. Will have to see if the price turns out as they said it would or not. I think I can ignore the store from now onwards as if he ignores these 3 major 3rd parties, I doubt i'll ever see a PE, TFC or anything else that is even more niche. I think i'll focus on third party for now as they do have the stuff I want. Hasbro and Takara really have nothing I want to be honest. |
