Yeah in a way, despite the fact that the wait was lonnnnnnng for each component to come, I'm glad it did. It seems less painful to get it over a year.
*
I think it is more like the total price is scary which i decided not to at the end.

If they do Bruticus, my wallet confirm die.

Don't worry I think MMC will not be doing a Bruticus in a long time if ever.. Right now they are aiming for the fembots, follow4d by the Decepticon Justice division.. then maybe an Abominus later.... Given their speed.. maybe 2016 they might get this all off their plates hehe ..
*
Thats good then. Hopefully when they do one, I'll be able to afford it as Bruticus is my favourite combiner.

Hexatron is still pretty tempting. sweat.gif

Hexatron is awesome. My first third party figure.

He's the reason I was disappointed when I got my first Warbotron figure... cause his build quality and engineering is really quite impressive in comparison.
*
Really that good?

I saw that a shop still have 2 in stock for RM550. I know its a bit high but that the first run version.

From the box, he looks a bit underwhelming because it is mostly bare plastic. I guess you have to hold it in hand to see how good is he. sweat.gif

The transformations looks sweet though.

I guess how good he is depends on your personal standards.

His plastic quality is solid by any standards I've seen, and he has a nice weight.

Engineering and proportions are good considering he's a six changer... but perhaps lacking in details and paint apps compared to something like PE Warden.

Definitely worth owning in my opinion.

AFAIK the V2 comes without the shurikens or katanas, which IMO takes away a lot of his character. How to be ninja like that?  hmm.gif
*
No no, I do like the engineering behind it and he feels surprisingly heavy but the paint apps is a bit lackluster. Maybe v2 will be better as he will have like 70% of the surface has paint apps.

I have been considering to get one though. Either Hexatron V1 or Guardian. Wanted to get a Warden but it is out of stock now.

Six Shot was never really a ninja in the G1 cartoons. He was portrayed as a ninja in one of the Japanese series. I still think the katana are nicer though as it is very hard to get the cleavers now.

shurikens are one pic which i cannot seem to find.. i've seen the katanas, and they're really neglectable for me, prefer the chest design and color scheme of the V2 though
any pics with the shurikens to sway my decision?

Here.

The cleavers can still get from

www.planetsteelexpress.com

Free shipping too. Mine arrived in 2-3 weeks time.
*
Ah thanks, i'll consider then.

Kinda dont want all my transformers to be in white. Might get Guardian then Hexatron V2 as he is in beige color.

anyone knows of a place i can get these locally instead of shipping internationally? don't have a credit card and i'd much rather pick things up personally laugh.gif
*
If you gonna pickup locally with no credit card, its gonna be hard for you to buy third party as most of the larger and cheaper stores are overseas.

Where you gonna pickup a Hexatron locally though? It is not easy to find one now.

well pre-orders from shops like 1toy has been fairly reasonably priced so far
most of the time, after factoring in shipping cost, it'll just balance out to become more or less the same price as here, so i haven't found the need to purchase TFs overseas so far
V2 is said to be on the way when i asked 1toy's boss but MMC release dates are a bit iffy, if i decide to pick up the V1 though i think i can convince one of my friends to sell it to me laugh.gif
*
It shouldnt take long but thats MMC, they do really care about quality which is partly why I like this company's transformers.

QUOTE(omichael @ Oct 22 2014, 05:29 PM)
Ahem, as one final bash to V2 Hexatron, don't forget that chrome, while it looks nice at first, is also more prone to chipping and discoloration in the long run...
*
Ah man, now i feel like picking up the V1.

The problem with the black one is, the paint apps can be quite bad on some .

Since a black version before, I rather take V1 instead.

actually, the earlier MMC products had a few QC problems too... haha...

to me, the only consistent 3rd party makers so far are fansproject and maketoys...
*
Thats true, but they are the only one so far that has satisfying transformation, good quality plastic and decent paint apps.

Dont think FP is flawless, as their Columpio isnt that good with all the loose ball joints and their Steel Core had crouch tearing issue.

I really dont think any of the 3rd party are perfect but i think in general, MMC and PE fits me better.

this thread become TF 3rd party ady.. small collectors like me.. nothing can talk about.. sad.gif

I rather buy 3rd party than most official ones. Better quality while I can get some of the niche characters.

I dont need an army of transformers but just a few 3rd party that looks really good.

Still regret for buying so many Maisto model cars back then as they look like crap beside my AA or Biante.

And not to forget, a lot of third parties are making characters that HasTak will never ever consider remaking them. While third parties are doing an amazing job with the combiners compared to HasTak. I dont see any reason to exclude any third party as they are not blatantly copying official toys like what KO is doing.

I like an updated version of Sixshot and its only MMC and Clonedroid making them.

New poll... what is your top 3 Transformers Generations Toys so far?

1. Metroplex (big bot!!)
2. Springer (Cool!!)
3. Brainstorm (headmaster!!)

Honorable mention: Jetfire, Arcee
*
I just bought Brainstorm yesterday, absolutely loving it so far. Might get Springer and Blitzwing later while waiting for Bad Cude Warpath and MMC Spartan.

Still, does anyone knows any shop selling Hexatron? I didnt know the re-release version is already out. doh.gif

Thanks!

Sadly, both listing had ended. I'll try to find one myself, probably have to skip it now and wait for their Nova Prime.

Perfect Effect Warden Reissue.

Better late than never right?

I used to think Hexatron was well made... and then I got this guy.

Paintjob and plastic quality are top notch.

But the transformation is kind of a drag. Too much hassle and too much partsforming for too little reward.

For something this good looking though, why would you even want to transform him? Just keep him in robot mode smile.gif
*
I was thinking of getting a Warden too, in the Brave Max color but I was put off by the size of this transformer.

How are your Warden's joints? I have 2 PE transformers, some of their joints are either too stiff or a bit loose.
