Why funny? If it doesn't look nice, people will sell it. With so many 3rd party stuff coming up, it's natural that people will want to get other stuff if they saw that ugly uncolored pic they first shared. If they don't sell it quick and more people see that pic, then less people will want to buy from them.

Besides juding from Herc/Uranos, doesn't seem to be any value increase from buying them now still..

Lol I myself contemplating on selling my two Defensor limbs, in fact already put to sell on FB, but half-heartedly as such I'm not entertaining much best price/discount/postage requests . I kind of want to see them completed, but on the other hand, I can get something else with that money..

Yeah the colored pics is what made me half-hearted now. But for once, I'm going to be more cautious.. and wait for reviews of their hot-spot before I preorder it. Should be seeing some middle of this month, and by the time our outlets get it should be next month or so;.

Hehe up until I got Uranos, I was impressed with 3rd party honestly and I thought all 3rd pary is like MMC stuff.. then I bought URANOS.. I'v eplayed with my collection over th emonths I've started, every combiner /single bot 3rd party or official, I've transformed them multiple times and changed their pses for display.

Uranos is the only one whom I've only transformed twice, and i always only display him in one pose. The slightly knees bent , almost crouching pose.. Only stable pose I can get him in T_T.

Yep what I think will happen is that including the 4 pegs, i can see another hold between the legs that allow something else to latch one. I suspect it will be a piece that you attach to the Dino to form a connector..

So far having a little of all the combiner companies..

I like

1) MMC (size, aesthetic, quality)
2) MakeToys (aesthetic, quality)
3) Warbotron (size, aesthetic, quality is.. ok)
4) handled Blot at 1Toy so it beats TFC for me.
5) TFC. I don't know man.. I'll just say they feel like 3rd party toys..

Yep. As I've said before when I first started collecting Transformers and my first 3rd party was MMC's Bovis, followed by Hexatron, then Green Giant.. I thought 3rd party were all like that. Top of the line plastic quality, sharp details etc. Then I got my first TFC (Nemean) and I thought.. ehh.. quality was so so. Plastic felt hollow.. etc etc. I bought Uranos and totally regret it. Just this morning, I took it out to transform and play play again.. (now that I'm accustomed to TFC's quality)...and nope.. still not "fun" at all to Transform or play.

Still waiting for another 3p to make a good Superion so I can finally put it aside.

I'm also looking to sell my Defensor limbs. Gumball and Warning Line. BIB... Streetwise was out of box for a while, and Warning Line.. took him out of box, transformed once.. and now BIB ..

for tfc hercules look for somebody called Low Ghim Joo .. i believe he's selling for a friend.. full set including rage of hercules rm 1300

if there is a seller who could make the decision and have a chance to agree to this would be X2oToys.. Jerryn Wong is the boss and she contacts the suppliers herself etc etc.. So she'll most probably be able to make calls like this ... though a you say getting everybody to agree is a logistical nightmare.. quite often for this hobby, when people buy stuff is really dependent on if they have cash atm etc etfc... So very hard tro coordinate

the price rise thing is weird yeah.. on the other hand.. despite even with shipping, it's a bit more expensive then retail stores sometimes.. I still go with them for most of my orders. My gripe with Vhobby (particularly) and 1Toy is sometimes the lack of info. My TFC Aethon and Phobus still no word yet.. although vhobby page admin did say in the nnext few shipments.. Got one bro, he ordered the MP-11 reissue with them.. till now no word. Supposedly other places have it already.

Now some of you mught think, this is not an issue, just later get.. but when collecting stuff such as Masterpiece reissues, it's quite huge to give your buyers more info. If you suddenly say you cannot get stock, even you return deposit also pointless, because now the buyer don't know where else to get.

X2o so far have not tell me.. "Sorry, no ifno on stock." or "oops not getting it."

The other issue is, is lack of after sales. Take for example Scoria, mine was the first batch, but thankfully no loose arms. However the jaws in Dino mode is a bit loose. Sellers like X2o can get you replacement parts.. however Vhobby ask them, totally no information or idea. This is quite important for 3rd party as replacement parts sometimes are required.


Another issue is the lack of information. The other day go ask 1Toy if they bringing in Mech Ideas Gauntlet.. they say don't have.. so I preoredered elsewhere.. (from BBTS).. then the other day, go visit their store.. apparently they got take orders =_= .

For me, between work and family, I don't have time to always go to the toy store and check, so I really need to know if i'll be getting my order.

The fact is though, there are some things that Hasbro can never do to make their stuff look as good as 3rd party.

Sharper details, better engineering for transformations, I mean hell, they can't even give Optimus Prime smokestacks anymore because apparently kids these days need 24 hrs supervision to make sure they don't stab their own eye out with OP smokestacks..

Costs, toy safety laws etc are things that limit what Hasbro can do imho.

Ahh ok thanks. I kinda wished they sold the claws only. Don't really want the weapons I'll never use. As such at 39USD, it's pretty pricey.

hmm my evasion prime, i've tried painting it myself... a bit messy since i was using miniature paint+brush..

Which set do you think I should get?

Hmm can't guarantee you'll find anything and his prices varies, but try looking for Loke Moon Thoe on facebook. He has a store (a stall, really) in Amcorp that sells some old loose stuff inm varying degrees of condition. You might get lucky.
