Any idea when FamiToy will bring in MP22? Huhu. Wish its within this month!

Just to clarify:-

KO MP12/12T/12G /14 does not come with coin.
KO MP12/12T/12G /14 does come with accessories, even better than the originals (both 12T and 14 have piledriver parts).

Quality is 50-50. You either get something on par with the original, or one that cannot align the parts properly (my KO 14 is near perfect, the 12T however cannot roll on its own wheels).

It's good for customisation purposes, in the event you are unhappy with the original layout by TakTom. Can change the colour of any panels, can mould new parts, can brutalise it for parts etc.

Hasbro MP or TakTom MP -- I'm happy with both. Hasbro offers selected MP's at a lower price point (but less attractive packaging - at least to me), while TakTom delivers better paintjobs (in most cases) and that sleek black boxes.

Here's to hoping a Hasbro release (and reissue) of the two MP11 seekers - Thundercracker and Skywarp.

The going rate for Skywarp for the TakTom MP11SW (current PO price is RM600) is stupidly ridiculous if you ask me, since it lacks the coronation gear of MP11 which I bought for less than RM400 MISB.

I think it depends on the reception of MP11SW. If the sales go well, TakTom would probably release their own MP TC.

Actually, the MP11SW does include an exclusive coin. But no stand.

I've seen somewhere those coins were customised (by drilling a hole into blank areas) and attached to a chain. Tempted to do the same to mine, but I care too much. Lol.

KO MP14 for me is slightly better painted than my MP12 TakTom. The Autobot is insignia is sharper on the KO MP14 compared to TakTom's MP12. Then again, my MP12 was one of the few that came out early.

On the alignment of panels, I believe it's caused by the mould. This is apparent on the MP12T KO, tried to fix it but to no avail. So I leave it in robot mode most of the time.

No comment on the KO MP12G, as I'm not interested in that one.

To a certain extent, I agree.

But in respect of the seeker mould (MP11), Hasbro / TRU has been selling it cheaper. Same goes for MP Soundwave, which includes all five cassettes which is a little bit cheaper compared to getting the TakTom MP13 + MP15 + Mp16 combo.

The Hasbro Grimlock (recent reissue) was a let down. Skipped that and went straight for WuKong. (please don't kill / ban me for discussing about purcashing KO's)

MP11 is the updated mould released circa 2011-2012, that has no 'scabbard' at the hips and the null ray guns are attached to the arms. And has no decorative missiles. But it came with the coronation gear.

So far, MP-11 has been repainted as:-
Acid Storm
Sun Storm
TRU Thundercracker
MP11SW (to be released in January 2015)

The old mould is MP-3, which was used as the base for MP-3G Ghost SS, MP-6 Skywarp and MP-7 Thundercracker.

It's packed inside the box in its own plastic bag. But no amazon.jp leaflet / booklet.

Some pointers to ID KO's:-

Lamborghini is spelled 'Lmbrghnni' or some gibberish.
Countach is spelled 'Crntoch' (again, gibberish, so I don't actually know what it says'.
The peg for the torso to latch on is shorter for the KO, so it is hard to snap the torso into place.
The Lamborghini logo is purposedly faded out, not as prominent as the original.

But these are based on the MP12T and MP14 KO unit I have.
Different newer batch may have improved.

MP22 PO Price at the place I bought (FamiToy) was RM460.
Some other place (1Toy) if I am not mistaken are as follows:-
PO : RM480
Retail : RM550.

But I may be wrong. For stocks, try calling Raz of Lil Monsters. He usually orders a few extra. Good luck hunting!

MP12G is tempting, but with the impending MP-24 and rumoured Megatron V2 MP-25, wallet must be kept as tight as possible.

Part of me actually regrets PO-ing MP-23 Exhaust.

Everyone forgets Red Alert :'( By the way, any new update on the Omnigonix MP not-Sunstreaker? It's been a while. The prototype looks mighty fine.

Shipping might be a bit higher than that Bro. As the whole MP22 weighs nearly 1KG. He's a heavy fella.
