1 Toy has tentatively reduced Takara Jetfire PO price to RM200.
I guess it's an individual choice whether you feel Takara's superior paint app is worth the extra RM45. |

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Aug 29 2014, 04:19 PM) Definitely worth it Agreed. Now that I have the figure though, the chrome doesn't bother me at all. In fact I think he looks better without any of those attachments, chrome or otherwise. But yeah to each their own.. i rather takara's red and black guns too to break up all that red.. not to mention detail loss with the chrome Ranting aside, just picked up sly strike today.. cant wait to get off work and shoot some pics |

Got Sly Strike in the mail today.
Massive improvement compared to Heavy Noisy! Perfect proportions. Excellent articulation. I love how he even has unfolding panels to cover up the gaps in the legs. Faith in Warbotron = largely restored. Waiting for you now Vortex... please don't screw up ![]() |

Star Saber will cost 18,000 yen.
Roughly RM550. Ok what that's pretty reasonable... ![]() |

Yeah I've had no issues with x2o. Bought a few items and so far communication has been good and delivery has been fast + well packed.
I do notice prices are sometimes a little higher (e.g. RM280 for Warbotron limbs VS RM260 elsewhere). |

No katana or shurikens on the new Hexatron? Without those accessories he loses a lot of his character.
And here's hoping all that chrome + metallic paint doesn't chip away over time. |

Lots of pictures of Wheeljack - anyone care to share a mini review?
Are you enjoying the figure? How's the QC? How is he compared to other MP cars like Sideswipe, Prowl, etc? |

QUOTE(VDread @ Sep 23 2014, 06:50 AM) Hmm. My short review, based on the unit I got. Thanks man! Sounds good. Looking forward to the transformation Pros:- 1. Alt mode nearly zero panel gaps, and fitment is near perfect. 2. Bot mode is spot on G1 Wheeljack. 3. Joints are sturdy and tight. 4. Plastic quality is good. 5. I think its heavier than MP Prowl. 6. Transformation is fun. 7. Alt mode size, is a bit longer compared to MP Prowl / Lambor. 8. Super stabil, due to large feet. Cons:- 1. Some units have paint defects. 2. Collectors coin has a typo on the card (Weeljack). 3. Viewed from the side, Wheeljack's alt mode looks as if its hunched. 4. The translucent wings looks as though it can easily break. 5. The side mirror (which has to be detached when transforming) can be easily lost. |

Finally got my Wheeljack in the mail. What an awesome figure!
This is proof to me that when TakTom/Hasbro are on point... no third party company can touch them. |

Apart from better proportions and articulation, this Star Saber actually looks a lot like the old toy. Which is a good thing I guess.
Looks nice but still feels like an optional buy to me. His aesthetics won't fit with other Masterpieces on my shelf. |

QUOTE(snipersnake @ Sep 25 2014, 12:29 PM) This MP line is similar with OP as it is not based on a real vehicle. Yes OP is a cabtruck but what is the brand? and that color scheme, it helps making the thing, toyish Bro, G1 OP is based on a Kenworth K100:and I like it. pray hard bro!! ![]() Also, whether it's based on a real vehicle or not is beyond the point. The point is the art direction of the figures. So far MP figures mostly share a very similar design aesthetic, in line with the G1 animation. Star Saber is more Gundam-ish, which is of course appropriate because that's how he was in his cartoon. I'm just saying their art direction is clearly different |

MP Wheeljack looks perfect to me.
From my memory, in the G1 cartoon his proportions were always slightly weird compared to the more proportionate Prowl, Sideswipe, etc. |

Still, kind of a big difference between that toy's chunky backpack and this:

That new packaging looks great!
Everything about AOE was crap - the toys, the film, the packaging. Can't wait to see this new wave on the shelves... ![]() |
