The third party Motormaster replacement is a huge improvement though:

How hard would it have been for Hasbro to make him this proportionate in the first place?

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks Menasor is unacceptably fugly.

QUOTE(kiien_kyan @ Feb 23 2015, 05:01 PM) oops.. i think i look too many of rubbish from official ady.. how come i felt it is acceptable Yeah definitely not comparing to third party... but would giving him better proportions really have added to Hasbro's development cost?btw, they try their best ady i think.. (of cos cant compare with 3rd party cos they need to think of costing..) and.. u cant expect hasbro to come out a design with add on can u? then there will be complaints bout it is not transformers but partformers.. I think they may be going for these gorilla-style proportions on purpose. So it's not so much an engineering issue, but more of an art direction issue. I know some people love him though. So to each his own Just in my personal opinion, even G1 Menasor looks better... |

I think it's possible that Hasbro Malaysia brings in a small quantity of TakTom stuff.
A while back I saw TakTom MP figures for sale at Hamley's. And as far as I know, Hamley's wouldn't deal with small hobby shops for their TF stock. Must be Hasbro Malaysia. |

QUOTE(unexistance @ Feb 26 2015, 02:31 PM) Well there are Hasbro MP figures, like Prowl / Sunstorm if I remember correctly Bro, behold the sticker at the bottom of my TAKARA TOMY MP Prowl box From what is known, Takara caters to Japan market (& whoever that wants to order sith them) and the rest of the world falls under Hasbro care ![]() This post has been edited by omichael: Feb 26 2015, 03:06 PM |

Not bad lah this Leader Megs... for a Hasbro non-MP figure.
He's like 50% as nice as Apollyon. And 50% of the price too. |

Perfect Effect Warden Reissue.
Better late than never right? I used to think Hexatron was well made... and then I got this guy. Paintjob and plastic quality are top notch. But the transformation is kind of a drag. Too much hassle and too much partsforming for too little reward. For something this good looking though, why would you even want to transform him? Just keep him in robot mode ![]() |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Mar 2 2015, 11:04 AM) Thanks! Joints and overall QC seem fine. A tiny scratch under his eye on his headsculpt, but otherwise no issues.Sadly, both listing had ended. I'll try to find one myself, probably have to skip it now and wait for their Nova Prime. I was thinking of getting a Warden too, in the Brave Max color but I was put off by the size of this transformer. How are your Warden's joints? I have 2 PE transformers, some of their joints are either too stiff or a bit loose. What about the size did not suit your tastes? In terms of scaling they definitely weren't aiming for any sort of accuracy - the sole goal was to serve as a head for G1 Fort Max haha. |

I asked first k? You guys back off
Seriously though, if you check the FansToys FB page, there are TONS of people asking for a Quakewave reissue. Hopefully it's only a matter of time. Scalper prices are just too much. |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Mar 2 2015, 01:14 PM) When I first started last year, I wasnt sure what transformer size should I collect as a bunch of Deluxe will look odd around a few Leader class as the scaling isnt always close to the comics or cartoons. I was unsure whether do I want to go for Combiners, Voyagers, MP, Mini(like those small cute little ones from Iron Factory) or Deluxe transformers. Personally I find that once you go MP... it's hard to get so excited with 90% of other official figures.Warden's problem is, he is quite short compared to my MPs but generally scale well with Voyagers. The price tag is also pretty high despite the polish is amazing. I am also not entirely satisfied with both much older PEs that I own due to inconsistent QC and painful transformation but I think PE fixed a lot of issues from their older products with Warden. I also had played with a MMC Azalea or Arcee, I really like the quality of the transformation and ease in posing of the transformer. At the end, I think I'll just go with MMC Hexatron/Spartan, considering they scale better with MPs. I also find that I prefer larger transformers that is around the size of a MP Starscream which was my first transformer I bought in recent years after I stopped collecting 10 years+ ago. It is just my personal taste, not PE's fault. Their upcoming Scoponok still caught my interest, though. But the challenge I find with MP is, even if a figure from another line can scale with them, their aesthetics rarely match. Most other lines - even CHUG figures - are either too stylized, too simple or too kiddy to blend in convincingly. So being a 30+ year-old guy who was raised on G1, I prefer sticking to just MP and certain high end third party figures. Probably a good thing also for my wallet and the space in my house... |

QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Mar 2 2015, 02:13 PM) I think I liked MP mainly because of the size of some of their transformers, you tend to see more details compared to smaller ones. What other third party transformers you think that will match with MP aesthetics? Quite a few are a nearly perfect match for MP!I do agree not all third party fit well with MP aesthetics. Does any have Unique Toy's Astro Train/Devil Star? * Most FansToys releases - like Quakewave, Dinobots, Insecticons, upcoming Tesla and Spotter... * Badcube Backland, Brawny and Wardog... * KFC Transistor (except the metallic paint)... * X-Transbots new MX line (starting with Apollyon)... * Daca Toys Kronos, despite its problems, was close to an MP Jetfire... * DX9 is getting very close to MP aesthetics with their Mirage homage and to a significantly lesser extent their Astrotrain... * And Warbotron is also arguably the closest we've got to an MP Bruticus and Computron. Maketoys, FansProject and MMC make amazing figures but most are too stylized to harmonize with MP. I'm sure I've missed out quite a few... |

QUOTE(fox_shinoda @ Mar 8 2015, 08:54 PM) Went to Amcorp Mall today and made my full payment for MP-10 Takara reissue coming this May I just noticed that on the packaging photo, OP's eyes are painted light blue. This gonna be left as MISB and display it along with the MP-10 figure from Hasbro ![]() Yet on the Takara figure itself, the eyes have always been that 'dead' dark blue. I wonder if this reissue will finally give him eyes like on the packaging. That's always been my only gripe about Takara MP10 VS Hasbro's. |
