Can you explain the procedure here?

Ok it’s just a suggestion, nothing intense ya. Basically if you want to save the extra bucks but doesn’t have a UNIDay account, you can find another person with a UNIday account and so happen only want the free AirPods but not the Mac/iPad, this only works if both have mutual interest.

i.e
(A) if you want the AirPods
(B) the other person wants the iPad or MacBook

so this only works if its A&B. It DOES NOT work if the scenario is A&A, or B&B due to clash of interests.

there’s 2 way of doing it, but it involves trust:-

Method 1 - A pay the MacBook/iPad and deliver it to himself, then he will COD with B when he receive the delivery. B will pay for the MacBook/iPad at the discounted price during COD, and A keeps the free AirPods, thus win win situation.

Method 2 - A pay for the MacBook/iPad, but the item deliver to B. Certainly there’s trust issues here, so you both need to find a trusted middleman, B pay the middleman, middleman will keep the money and send proof of payment to A, after item delivered, B will send the free AirPods to A, finally middleman will release payment to A.

Honestly, go with Method 1 coz it involves very little to no risk, and doesn’t involve middleman…coz if B decided not to purchase the item later on, A will not be at any lost, A can keep the free AirPods, and sell the MacBook/iPad (possibly higher than the price he paid anyways).

These are all just suggestion and ideas to help each other within this community…to save the most money and to get the best deal out of what we can get.

If you prefer Method 2 which involve middleman and you can’t find one, I volunteer myself to help be middleman (that’s if you can trust me too),or get any of the mods/staff’s help…though not a wise option to be honest, as becoming a middleman is tough and hold high responsibilities, but if it can help you guys here, I’m willing to take up the task.

Afterall these are just suggestion, if you guys have better ideas please put it up

I bought one using my Alumni account, which mentioned by one of user here. So I try reg for alumni acc from my college and it did provide me an edu account. If you're interest can try check back ur college/U and reg as Alumni if there is

Please ignore this. Seems that it is a known issue for overseas Unidays account.

I have 1 edu account . So I can buy it with the edu price . But I already have 2 ipad here. So I just need the airpods. So if anyone interested we can discuss the price or if you have account , I can buy the airpods from you.

Current offer is for Malaysian institutions, in which they detect your email address with an edu.my.

I am, but method 1 seems viable and more preferable. I am in Sibu, Sarawak and can do COD. For method 2, to compensate dikae for his effort as well seems logical.

Earlier this week, Apple rolled out stricter verification requirements for its Online Education Store in the United States after previously not requiring any sort of verification. Just a few days later, however, Apple appears to have reversed this decision and is no longer requiring verification of eligibility, but the stricter purchasing quantity limits remain.


Similar to verification for Apple Music student plans, Apple started using UNiDAYS for verification through the Apple Education Store on Wednesday. This meant that shoppers had to verifying their eligibility using UNiDAYS in order to lock in the 10% discount on iPads, Macs, and accessories. After years of Apple not requiring any sort of verification for Apple Education Store purchases (in the United States), this was a major change.

At some point on Friday, however, Apple appears to have reversed this decision and removed the UNiDAYS verification prompt from the Apple Education Store in the United States completely. This means that, for the time being, anyone can make a purchase through the Apple Education Store and lock-in the discount.

Apple’s stricter purchasing limits do, however, remain in effect:

Desktop: One (1) may be purchased per year
Mac mini: One (1) may be purchased per year
Notebook: One (1) may be purchased per year
iPad: Two (2) may be purchased per year
Accessories: Two (2) accessories with Education Pricing may be purchased per year

I helped a friend bought ipad air and airpod 3rd gen. got RM500+ discount. So top up a bit for airpod.

I've read some article that in a calendar year, can only buy 1 device in the same category. Such as you can only buy 1 ipad in a year, but u still can buy other items like macbook . I tried adding another ipad to cart though, and went to the last part selecting payment method. Not sure if actually can buy a 2nd ipad..

Just some info if anyone should know.
