Hi Bro... my Note 1 (sold) and S3 was/ is rooted but S4 still virgin... for S4 i disabled too many...
example blurcheckout, ANT, chat on, dropbox (not reliabe already since the icoud leak incident), earth, drive, google playbooks, google play newsstand, group play, samsung billing (uninstalled), samsung watch on, tripadvsor,backup, all the samsung cloud things and many more.

in conclusion, things that you don't use and won't harm you phone..

1. Your S4 within 6 months then you can claim for new battery. Anytime before that you can go to claim it.
but over a year no luck la. Take out your battery, place on flat surface to confirm it's can circle it yes, then meaning
battery KO

2. Draining can be also not caused by old battery but applications you installed.
if you turn on auto sync, bright > 10%, auto turn off screen > 30 Secs, letting a lots of unused bloatware to run wildly
also will cause battery drain.

3. When you said plug off charger always heat, sure la when charging it's will produce heats. If you said using produce heat also sure la. where got using handphone without heat.

I didn't why he switch back... overall i was told the phone is quite smooth but the way operating is very much different with Android...
