Anyone notice what's the difference in today's update (90MB+)?

Hi all,

My S4 battery drains too fast, and it always heating up when i plug off the charger.
I bought it a year ago and I never update any new version.
What's the problem actually? Can I just buy a new battery? Or I must send it to the service centre?

Thank u.

Should I turn my i9505 into GPE S4? Anyone here is on AOKP/GPE ROM? What are the pros on top of the stock ROM?

Because since CM7 days, where I will flash AOSP/AOKP/CM because stock ROM is too bloaty or slow, then I will revert back to stock ROM very fast due to not being power efficient (short SOT) and oversimplified system apps such as the camera.

1. Your S4 within 6 months then you can claim for new battery. brows.gif Anytime before that you can go to claim it.
but over a year no luck la. Take out your battery, place on flat surface to confirm it's can circle it yes, then meaning
battery KO

2. Draining can be also not caused by old battery but applications you installed.
if you turn on auto sync, bright > 10%, auto turn off screen > 30 Secs, letting a lots of unused bloatware to run wildly
also will cause battery drain.

3. When you said plug off charger always heat, sure la when charging it's will produce heats. If you said using produce heat also sure la. where got using handphone without heat. shakehead.gif doh.gif

Hopes i help.. icon_question.gif drool.gif

If you have rooted and the ROM you intended to flash being commented stable and smooth or good battery, why not... brows.gif thumbup.gif

Not sure what SOT is good for you? hmm.gif mine is stock and still virgin and my SOT is 4 hours +

For AOSP/AOKP based roms, need some readings before flashing. The only AOSP based roms that i loved is PA(Paranoid Android) rom, but sometimes, they sucks too. That depends.

At last revert back to stock-based custom rom. Due to the functionality, performance wise.

As long as it makes the phone less laggy and ultimately less buggy, then its good enough. Its a minor update only if 90mb. laugh.gif

3h on 3G/LTE
4h on WiFi

I'm looking at something close to my Note 2/3s which is about 8 hours on WiFi, apparently it is impossible.

PhoeniX was my first custom ROM ever since I bought it last month.
