OIC......thanks for the explanatory, i guess i learned something new then... smile.gif

I tot the guys were implying that u had to smoke ure headlamp abit...to make it distinctive....

kekekek ni budak baru belajar pasal Angel eyes....

Delsol....aiks ur car masuk hospital eh? So big a deal the problem?

Ok small question guys...i was listening to the radio abt a month back 90.3 to be exact and there is this Traffic segment where the Ass. Director of JPJ is there...Che Mat.

He says that there is a proper way to warm up and drive an Auto Tranny car...like for eg. In the morning, u run thru each gear for abt 2 secs till ure car's temp reaches the first bar and thats abt 40`C and u can go off, but u must engage the gear in say 2 or 3 depending on ure car's tranny and from there slowly drive till u reach abt 20 mph before swapping back to D. When u reach a Traffic lite, if ure stopping for more than 30 secs, u should drop to N. If not u should drop to low gear 2 or 3 and then repeat the steps to engage back to D.

Question is, does this apply to CVT? Does the gear box differ in anyway with conventional? According to Che Mat, this is the proper way to take care of ure gear box....and prolong its longevity...

I need a myth buster here.... ! smile.gif

bro,
the headlamps of the CRX is smoked.

smoked in a sense that the reflective portion of the headlamp is sprayed black (would it make sense to say the base of the headlamp, instead of the clear glass/plastic of the headlamps?), except for reflector encasing the headlamp bulbs.

i hope it doesn't confuse you with headlamps with the clear plastic/glass in front of the headlamp which were sprayed with a thin layer of black, or tinted with black tint.

edit: i checked the sportivo bestari.. and it has projectors as well as reflectors but the base is not.. it's either dark grey or titanium colour wink.gif

ok man....i'll try the first method first....scratch x first, polish and wax

say...where is the most reasonably priced auto-detailer in PJ or Klang? any recommendations?

er...wats MF?

I see.. I've modded, and already de-modded my ride as there were some issues.. shudder coming to my dashboard, thus got it solved myself as SC was being an ass with warranty issues and modifications..
depends to what extent your damage is bro.. how deep are the scratches as well.. if the scratches are really mild scratches, then you could get it removed by using scratchx (clean the area up, polish then scratch-x to remove the scratches, lastly wax) else if it's a lot worst.. you'll need to go to those auto-detailing shops for more "powderful" products that require the use of orbitals..

I'd like to ask members here for some information is that.. when you all drive your stock cars over uneven roads or metal jumps or driving down to carpark (Berjaya Timesquare) does your front wheels and steering "sounds" loose? My car seems to have this annoying "feel like loose" sound coming from the front wheels and I ain't sure what is worned out or requires tightening.. sad.gif
*
My guess is its due to worn out....i noticed that on my prev car....after modding abit here and there....it tends to loosen certain parts after i switch back to stock.

My solution there was to go to a local friendly shop and change some rubber bushings and also do some tigthening of bolts and what nots around the axles and anything that is visible under carriage and easy to access to.

Usually i changed to the aussie brand for the bushing, forgot the name. Also, for the steering, usually u can check and see if u got too much freeplay, if so i heard that u can tighten it abit or ask the mechanic to have a look at it.

My 2 cents

Hello guys...

Wah seh....i AWOL for some time oni so many new faces and members.

For the Honday City Fraternities, i would like to announce that i just became a father a week ago.

Yo Delsol.....man u said it la....become daddy really exhausting man...i just checked and i lost 4 Kilo liao....running up and down to service as slave to the Empress (Mother and Mother-in-law), Queen (Wife) and Princess (Baby) can really take a toll on u man.

Just on Monday i had to run in my City man, Monday fly to JPN (Shah Alam) to register then to Ikea (Damansara Perdana) then to a pharmacy in Klang, then Tuesday, SJMC Hospital for checkup and then to Chan Sow Lin to service another car and fetch bro, then at night THATS THE BEST, flying 100 to 140 at the stretch from Jalan Meru all da way to Puncak Alam, man the Vtec engine was screaming all the way man (Just to pick up Healin-Gamoagen for the missus....sigh the things we do as slaves)....best drive, just before you reach the Puncak Alam Petronas, thats the best stretch, reminiscence of the old trunk road to Malacca.

Anyways...i hope to get back into the scene again, now i just bought the Black and Decker Car polishing machine, still need some manual work la...but i think the job i did on my City is quite ok considering i am a noob at Detailing.

Just dropping by to say hello to all again.

Cheers ! smile.gif

hi....i am a city owner also...

tho i installed the oil cooler onto my perdana...its well known to have
problems with the gearbox since the ori mitsu eterna has an atf but the
perdana version crossover did not have it.

the car was 2 years old and has some problem downshifting from 3rd to 2nd...a lil jerk here and there....now....after the oil cooler the gearbox performs more solid and has slight problems every now and then, very rare compared to before and when its been run-in (KL Jam).

Personnally i can vouch for the installation of one....tho on my city its still new so i dun wanna install one just yet....i will look into it tho....maybe purchase the atf volvo model and then hang on to it for some time before installing....

for those who wanna install it and have a good mecha that i can vouch for...do lemme know....PLEASE however do be informed that it will definitely void ure warranty.

i got the mecha in Chan Sow Lin and it can be done in a day.

Anyways....peace
