QUOTE(tonny @ Oct 8 2006, 06:15 PM)
hello all city owner,

i want to ask you all about the 2yrs free services and the 3yrs warranty, my city is Feb' 05, since i'm live in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, and my working area is at Bandar Baru Klang, I  need to take about 6 to 7 months to hit every 5K km. Thus, so far i'm only services until 15K km only. The Honda SC is advice me to service every 2 months since my 2yrs / 40K km free services is coming to end (Feb 07). But i feel like it is not worth to services every 2 months or based on the months stated in warranty book, b'cos feel like if example i change engine oil, etc, the things still not completely run-in, then need to change it again, feel waste... Just want to ask u all that if i still wait for every 5K km then only send my car to Honda SC to services, will it break my 3yrs warranty ?

regards: Tonny

I service my car according to the mileage, meaning every 5000km.
It will not void your warranty.

QUOTE(nerd nation @ Oct 8 2006, 06:38 PM)
how often u guys use your manual shifting on the steering wheel? when is it useful?

Quite often because i'm naughty tongue.gif

so u sure warranty not void if i didnt follow the service schedule?
since i bought my city, havent gone for a single service.
now already miss 3 times. next week gonna go service. no time mah tongue.gif
will it affect anything like wearing the parts?
& if i install open pod or other mods, will it void the warranty?
*
You should understand that not following the servicing schedule is bad for your car. It will definitely increase the wear and tear on those parts that requires servicing. This is due to the improper lubrication of the parts.

i cant follow the mileage coz the time warranty will past even before reaching the milage.

car warranty usually got the 100,000km or 3 years whichever comes 1st.
for me, it will be the mileage blush.gif

if you can finish the free service within the 2 years then you can just claim the items first. thats in my case.

when i say 10km/L, that means the city use 1 litre for every 10km
IIANM
coz these numbers appear in the digital display below the meter.
u can do the conversion.

1 litre = rm1.92
rm10 = 5.2 litre
rm10 = 5.2 litre x 10km
rm10 = 52km

you should try going to klang and search for it there as some owners trade-in their stock wheels for new sports rims there so you might get lucky.

i went klang yesterday,saw 1set selling 550 but tyre left only 50%
some one selling i offer RM600 ???ok

Mine had some odd smell from the aircond about 2 weeks back. It happened one fine day but the day after it kinda dissappeared. The SC people said it's almost due to service my aircond anyway (they claim to usually recommend the services when the car clocks 25,000km)

Coming Friday might be sending mine for major servicing for the faults thats coming out of my car. Headache about them.

Usually I'll wait at the SC for my car to be done, even if it's a few hours. But this time i have pile up the faults, I think I'll have to leave my car there for the repairs to be done doh.gif
