I use cheap engine oil but i change my engine oil and oil filter every month...
so who is caring about what brand of engine oil since my car is not a super sport car !

tried it yet bro? got sample report? if it includes voa (since you mentioned before) and uoa together, then it may be cheaper than blackstone USA

25usd *2 (with 3.7 forex) is about 185 + 120 poslaju = 305
about same, however if add 20more usd for TBN, then it'll definitely be more expensive.

Sorry - I forgot clarify I'm using the Honda 0W20 fully syn oil on my Myvi.

I've used 0W20 on my Nissan but it wasn't that great cuz I'm a heavy footer. At the top end the engine response was lacking like it it was running on water. I don't know how to explain that in better terms.

Anyway if you're tracking the engine oil temp and pressure, you'll see that thinner oils run hotter when redlined and pressure is surprisingly higher when revved hard. You're better off with slightly thicker oils with good a base and efficient temp additives.

Personal experience on the Sepang track in a non-standard Wira NA :

- Pennzoil highest recorded temperature was 160 deg Celsius. Which is bad. Changed out the oil due to poor engine performance right after that track day.

- Rock oil maintained a constant 120 deg Celsius no matter how much I revved. Lasted another 1k km after that before I had to change the oil out.

- Ravenol highest recorded temperature was 130 deg Celsius too. Lasted 1k km after that track day.

- Lastly Adnoc Image highest recorded temp was 140 deg Celsius.

All using 5W30 weight and all fully syn. So just by looking at my 4 case studies above, the more expensive the oil the better it is for hard revving drivers with hot engines. (I guess)

Just use whatever you can afford la. Go fully syn though.

Guys.. I just serviced my car at Castrol service centre and they charged Castrol Magnatec (10W-40) + Filter + Labour for RM175-RM40 voucher=RM135.

After doing the service, I went to Tesco (16/7/2015) and saw these 3 selling !!
Are these the one people mentioning Tesco sales of engine oil ? Packaging looks different from outside market.

Hi all, just to ask that whether is it ok for a recond slk year 2012 to use Castrol Edge 5W40?

And this engine oil cost me :

4Liter - RM236
1Liter x 2- RM56x 2 = RM112

Is this reasonable and is it the right oil to be used?

usage of shell helix ultra full synthetic with pureplus( the new one collaboration with pennzoil using natural gas)has been very positive so far and my sis also like it.

only downside it being not as rev happy as motul's h tech as it was xw30 and shell is xw40.
but the cost of that and topping it up due to worn seals/engine oil being combustion out of the exhaust at the engine is just no longer feasible to continue on with motul.

i actually gotten like 3* 4 liter cans, i guess they will last me for quite some time since its no longer consuming EO that badly now.

currently im using LM 5w-40 fully synthetic - synthoil high tech for my camry 2.0e year 2003 model ... for the next service can i use LM Mos2 10w30 semi synthetic ? cuz i need to reduce service cost , usually i will service my car on time

fully synthetic can last 10 000km and semi will last 8 000km right ? some workshop at my place told me that fully synthetic can last up to 12 000km and semi up tp 10 000km , which one is true ?

or any recommendations on fully synthetic lubricant around rm150 to rm180 4L ?
