It is always good to follow car manufacturer manual as a baseline and also depends on usage pattern like city driving or every outstation on high rev etc.
Generally, my regular mechanic recommends to use fully-synthetic for new car (<100K mileage) or semi-synthetic (>100K mileage) - brand is a personal preference.

I have a Honda Civic FD 2007 (>200K mileage) using Liqui Moly MoS2 10W-40 semi-synthetic as used fully-synthetic and experienced oil level drop after 3-months due to high mileage car etc.
My other car (40K+ mileage) using fully-synthetic 5W-30 as newer car and reasonable viscosity for Malaysian weather.

Whichever brand chosen, it is always recommended to change engine oil at regular 6-months / 7K km (semi) / 10K km (fully) interval or earlier and safest to stick with global top oil brands.
I am considering to next try KIXX G1 SP fully synthetic due to its engine protection, value for money and also meets requirement of API SP for today's modern cars with timing chain.

Any feedback on KIXX brand or equivalent?

My accord of 10 years old with 236k km still retain with 0w20 as per manual. No engine oil eating as I check every 10k km. Right after warranty of 5 years ended, stick to Mizu 0w20, iirc from 100+k km up until now.

Reason price, shopee mall instead of private seller and mainly due to availability of 1L bottle. My car need 4.5L oil on workshop I went that use suction machine type. From observation, manual drain opening take less than 4.5L refill, and I ask the mechanic to always double check when refill cz hate overfill oil.

Wow bro, how did you maintained your Accord so well and using 0W-20 at over 230K km mileage - what engine & oil brand?

My other Civic FD1 (R18A) over 200K km mileage originally used 5W-30 Fully synthetic was also advised to use 10W-40 semi as encounter "burning oil" effect and about 3,000 km mark with approx. 500ml oil top up needed (Liqui Moly MOS2 10W-40). Recently watched this video on common Honda engines burning oil solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5FbYxP3-aM

I will try replacing this inexpensive metal PCV Valve (newer cars came with plastic) during next service.
When I bought this part at original Honda spare parts shop (Lin Hup Seng), staff told me just stick back to 5W-30 as per manual as even new Honda car nowadays need topup with original Honda engine oil too - mainly due to the base oil quality which do "evaporate" by itself. LOL

Anyone have tried solving this puzzle before?
