That Facebook post is just sharing an old article from July which says Mini and Max variants are confirmed, in China. There's nothing about them being available in Malaysia. Most likely ZTE will bring them in, but definitely not so soon, probably a few more months.

ZTE FB Malaysia is useless, post question there no answer, might as well dont create ZTE malaysia FB.

Keep advertise Nubia 7 series but did not say when will come to malaysia. But Z7 Max is one of the phone interested me.

Hope it come soon.

This is most likely due to lack of local market needs compare to other bigger such as US or India. Currently only Nubia 5S Mini, which is a trimmed down version of the Z5S Mini available officially in Amazon, and rumors of Nubia availability in India around October.

Besides I already provided you ways of getting one through facebook, which you could get through online instead of waiting only if you really like the phone.

As u can see, the shots taken with the Z7 Max are quite accurate for the colours. They do not pop or oversaturate which may or may not be a good thing depending on personal preference. However, it tends to under expose a little. As our camera phones are equipped with tiny sensors with a limited dynamic range, highlight clippings occur easily and under exposure reduces such occurrences.

Though its not quite an identical comparison with shots taken at different times and from different positions, we can clearly see how the Z7 tends to meter light on the conservative side. For those who prefer WYSIWYG, select the Pro mode and set +1 for exposure correction.

Bought a half case for my ZTE Z7 Max from Taobao. Its a semi rubber and plastic case. It is stiff enough to support the phone, yet sufficiently pliant so as not to scratch the phone and fits it like a glove. The rubber like surface texture offers a good grip. It barely adds any dimension to the phone as its quite thin, making it much nicer to hold the phone with the casing installed.



The package comes with a film type screen protector (doubt anyone needs one now that tempered glass protectors are commonly available) as well as dust protector tabs for the headphone jack and USB port






The tempered glass SP i bought from Adix does not cover the entire screen, thus leaving a sufficient gap all around to accommodate for any phone case.

Yes u can. From the home screen, u can see 2 antennas showing the signal strength of both connections at the top notification bar.

Under settings, about phone, u can view the individual phone card network status indicating network type, signal strength, phone number, etc. etc.

There can only be one 4G at any one time. Both SIMs supports 4G but when one SIM is running on 4G, the other is on 2G. There isnt any phone at the moment which can operate 2 4Gs simultaneously.

Coming from Nokia 3210, Moto Razr V3x, Nokia E61, Samsung P780, HTC HD2, iPhone 4, Lenovo S890, Lenovo P780, Alcatel Idol X, LeMoto K910 and previously Huawei Honor 3C.

Got the ZTE Nubia Z7 Max unit from Lazada with RM150 discount at RM1,149. Playing for 24-hour already... It's rooted 4.4.2 KitKat under NX505J_CNCommon_V1.32 ROM. Here's my comments about this unit:

A = Android = NubiaUI 2.0 KitKat is acceptable. Lots of junk apps out of the box. After rooted, can be frozen/uninstalled.
B = Body-Built = ZTE managed to make the plastic feel 'acceptable'. Buttons are nicely placed and decent feedback. Capacitive buttons with interchangable functions (menu vs back) are a welcome feature. Thickness and weight are comfortable. 3rd party casing and screen protectors is encouraged but I leave my unit naked.
C = Call quality = Second place after my previous Moto RAZR V3x. You can get reception even inside elevator or basement one.
D = Data = LTE modules for both micro-SIM 1 & 2 are the best out of all phones I've own. Previously the record was held by Huawei Honor 3C. Bluetooth is stable too.
E = Email = Email client is flexible compared to other Android-based phones. It works as intended.
F = Free-apps = None which is shame. I was hoping lifetime WhatsApp license just like the Alcatel Idol X.
G = Games = As expected, heavy titles are not an issue with Snapdragon 801 and Andreno 330.
H = Hangouts = Video call for Skype, Google Hangouts, Tango etc. is superb for 5MP front facing camera.
I = Internet = AOSP browser is smooth. No checker-board effect on heavy websites.
J = Juice = 3100mAh = "Decent". Claimed talk-time, stand-by time, etc. are achievable for dual-standby-micro-SIM LTE phone. Power consumption during idle state is 2% from 11pm to 5am. Daily usage can threaten my previous LeMoto P780.
K = Kamasutra = Phone vibrates with notification/ringtone. Vibrating sensation is above average. Ladies may use it for other purpose(s)... LOL...
L = Loudspeaker = The loudest out of all my previous models. DTS manipulation is pushing the loudspeaker further. But crack if treble is too high. Bass is above average.
M = Music = Again the DTS technology does its magic. Headphone/earphone usage is encouraged.
N = Navigation = Working as expected. Lock satellite within 10 seconds. Waze and Google Maps are working normally, even indoors.
O = One-hand Operation = I have "big" hands and "long" fingers ;-) No further comment.
P = Picture = 13MP is exceptional packed with standard camera features/modes. Dept-of-Field feature withadjustable lighting condition is one of its kind.
Q = Quirks = tap-hold to bring cut-copy-paste-select does not aligned properly and difficult to tap. But this can be improved in their next ROM release.
R = Rooting = Super-duper-hyper EASYYYYYYYYY. TowelRoot is the one-click rooting tool. Mod ROM is also available but not purely ROW ROM.
S = Sound = Earphone sound is OK. Speaker-phone is OK too but crack if too loud. The DTS manipulates the sound brilliantly.
T = Texting = Stock android keyboard should be replaced with Google keyboard.
U = User-Interface = smooth & flexible with various themes to choose. Thanks to the 2GB RAM.
V = Video = Capturing 1080P video is acceptable. 4K is limited to 4 minutes due to overheating. Auto-focus is acceptable.
W = WiFi = The best out of all smartphones that I have own. Previously was Huawei Honor 3C. Others only manage to get 1-2 bars in my basement floor test. But z7 Max captures 5 full bars without fail. Honor 3C gets 4 bars.
X = X-factors = For dual-micro-SIM LTE phone with 2GB RAM supported by 32GB onboard storage is worth every penny. Strong voice/data/Wi-Fi reception is a desperate move for those who live in the outskirts or camping sites. Gamers will like this unit too.
Y = YouTube = The 5.5" IPS screen accompanied by excellent LTE connection is surely an enjoyable experience.
Z = Zero-figure. Imported from People Republic of China (PRC) unit at Malaysia Ringgit RM1,149-point-zero-zero is a smart investment with high internal specs.

CONCLUSION : Buy it if you are looking for high-spec phone having dual-micro-SIM LTE support. Gonna clinging to this unit until Huawei Ascent Mate 7 is available in local market.

Yes. They are both the same model. Only different importer. The unit that I got is no more listed in lazada. Perhaps out of stock. There is one more reseller in lelong priced at RM1177 (free shipping too).

All in all, you have to just ensure these resellers/importers have installed the Google services. The one that I've got already have Google services and just need to root myself.

Hv you install any casing or SP? Cause I'm ordering the z7 max but no idea where to get the casing and SP.. :)

Just lelong for the time being.

Took the LRT from Kelana Jaya to Masjid Jamek. Along the way watching YouTube vids.

The streaming is flawless at 480P resolution. I can see the signal changes from 3G to H to H+ to 4G constantly. But no buffer or lagging on the streaming. Once, in the underground tunnel all the way from
Pasar Semi to Masjid Jamek, constantly 3G.

I must say the data connectivity for this phone is "awesome". I'm on version 1.32 ROM by the way.

Currently out of town can't watch the review videos. Just want to know, what's the difference between the 3 Zte Nubia Z7?

Z7 is not released yet, so currently there are only 2 models to choose from: Z7 Mini and Z7 Max.

It all comes down to form factor. U need a small and compact phone, take the Z7 Mini with a 5" Full HD display. U need more screen estate, take the Z7 Max with the 5.5" Full HD display (it also comes with a bigger battery for longer talk/standby time).

System settings > MSim settings > Phone Card One > Access Point Names > edit the APN (refer to ur telco. Celcom is "celcom4g") > soft menu > save APN.

I'll give the report once the battery reach 20%. For the past 3 days, average SOT is 4 hours.

Kinda fall in love with nubia Z7 Mini.

￥1499元, what a price for such spec.

The best Nubia will undoubtedly be 'the' Z7 itself, but the price might deter most from purchasing it since it is too expensive, almost Rm2k, but with the price tag, you get 2K resolution and 3GB RAM as well.

Is the Honor 6 really that great? Saw the specs in GSMarena and it is just so so if compared to Nubia Z7 Max. And they are using a new proc. Not sure if this HiSilicon chip is as good as they claim tho...

I hv been using Honor 3C for 2 months. It has the LTPS screen technology that is proven (based on my observation) to help improving battery performance.

The SoC is new and slightly less powerful compared to equivalent SnapDragon chip(s). But, from my point of view, a smartphone do not need those super powerful SoC unless for heavy games and 4K video recording, which are not my main criteria in owning a phone.

The other selling point of the Honor 6 is the Cat6 LTE. Of course, Malaysian telco will "delay" the adoption of this LTE banding. But, if u travel oversea frequently (& if the data rate is affordable outside Malaysia...), then, we'll appreciate the Cat6 connectivity.

However, Huawei Malaysia has made a gamble move by pushing Honor 6 when other parts of the world, Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is almost ready for purchasing. If lots of fans buying Honor 6 today, then, there'll be no buyer for Mate 7. Just my hypothesis...

However, if Huawei Malaysia really have the guts to promote Mate 7 after Honor 6, I'll trade-in my ZTE Nubia Z7 Max.

Yes, Z7 Max supports 4G on BOTH SIM slots but u can only have one active 4G connection at any one time. I have said this over and over again and i'm sounding like a broken record. When SIM1 is on 4G, SIM2 will be on 2G. When SIM2 is on 4G, SIM1 will be on 2G. ALL Z7 series, i.e. Z7 Mini, Z7 Max and the yet to be released Z7 supports Dual 4G SIM, dual standby.

I upgraded from Zenfone 5. As for u coming from ZF6, i think the Z7 Max will be suitable for u. Very good radio performance (4G & WIFI 802.11ac). In addition, it has a very decent battery life. Split screen, PIP video and various gesture modes can be quite handy.

It does not come with a flip case but u can purchase a 3rd party flip case to use the active screen feature.

Sorry to bother you but if ur dad is holding this phone, I think it's too much for him as an ordinary consumer. If battery is ur dad's concern, maybe you would consider LeMoto S860 (brother to P780). Unless u hv fed up with LeMoto "quality", you can go for Honor 3C which gives better battery performance but never close to P780 or S860.

But if you have the cash, then, I must say this phone will make ur daddy smiles all the way....LOL...

From my point of view, you shouldn't have sold the K910. It's a great phone.

I have to switch to Nubia due to my office 4G LTE is super strong and gain extra advantage when streaming vids and video/conference call with my other counterpart business.

There is no specific method to determine whether the unit that u've got is Ori or not. CPU-Z app is the only app that I rely on to check the internal components....

Between Honor 6 and z7 Max, pricing will be your indicator. So far, they are both priced "equally". But, if your target to upgrade from K910, my advice is Z7 Max because it covers 4G FDD-LTE for 1800MHz and 2600Mhz spectrums. Honor 6 only covers 1800MHz which may not guarantee to get connection all the time as all telco in Malaysia has 2600MHz but not 1800MHz....

Ok thanks. The main reason for selling off the K910 was due to the fact that it did not come with a microsd slot, which i really need the most to store my files. the LTE is a bonus, and since my company sim card supports LTE connection, it would be a waste to not use it.

Does sleep/wake work out of the box? I didn't notice that there's this function. I have the original leather case.

You have to activate it first.

It's in System settings > Feature > Smart face/leather > turn on "Smart Leather Switcher" and "Auto Unlock Screen".

Anyone used the CM11 rom on this phone yet? Any reviews?

Although stable but remote control does not work. I need the remote control function. Air-cond, TV, etc. is very handy....

Fair enough.... S860 is not bad... but it's your choice....

The battery life for z7 Max (3100mAh) will last 2 days (if at night from 11pm to 6am you do not touch the phone). No gaming is allowed though. The camera (video taking) does eat up the battery too. So, if no gaming and prolong vids capturing, it will last 2 days.

I have snap photos on the leather case earlier. It's a Mofi set. Damage done, please refer to lelong.com.my.

I bought from Lazada with 14 days warranty under Lazada policy. But this reseller is slightly more expensive than "T-Dimension Limited". My advice is to survey properly. Some offer 1 year warranty. They offer white colour too.

Which company is that? Thinking of buying from Lazada too. I notice that T-Dimension Ltd is a HK based company. So if phone got issue then how to send back?

Battery life is double as compared to Asus ZF5. My top spec ZF5 can get around 2.5hrs or so of screen on time while my Z7 Max can hit 5hrs. If a ZF5 can last one working day for u, then the Z7 Max will be 2 days before requiring a charge. In addition, the Z7 Max has very good standby time. If u leave the phone overnight on standby for 7 to 8 hrs, battery consumption is about 1-2%.

The IR emitter is located at the top of the phone, above the ear piece. It comes with a preinstalled app that lets u control TVs, home entertainment systems, DVD players, etc. If u dont find your equipement listed in the app, there is an option for the app to learn your remote controller. I can use it for my TVs, AC Ryan player, TV Pad, DVD recorder, etc.

I do realize the liability when purchasing item outside Malaysia territory. Touch wood. so far none imported items that I have purchased online has serious issue.

If anything happens, it's just the trouble to send back to its origin, which will take more than 1 month process to get it repair. Therefore, think carefully before purchase because it's your decision.

Having said that, I'm awaiting for Huawei Malaysia to push Ascend Mate 7....

Battery performance after 5 recharged cycles.

Details:
ROM = Stock Nubia 2.0 Version 1.41 KitKat 4.4.2 Rooted with GAPPs.

Modes:
- GPS = Always On (battery saving mode).
- GPS Navigation = None.
- WiFi = Always On.
- Dual SIM = Always active. SIM 1 on LTE; SIM2 on 2G.
- Data = LTE on SIM 1. Always on.
- Bluetooth = On for 25% of time usage.
- Vibrate = Always On.
- Volume = Max.

Usages:
- SOT = 5h 15m 20s
- Purpose = browsing (50%), YouTube (20%), email (20%), social messages (10%).
- Camera = 5 snaps (all without flash) at 13MP.
- Video = 1 minute duration at 1080P.
- Games = None.

Current Monitoring:
- After 1d 8h 19m 24s, battery balance 10%.

Others:
- Daily "sleep" performance = 2% per night (11:00pm - 6:00am)
- Power Manager = Default/Normal
- Brightness = Auto (about 75% brightness)
- Audio = Max
- Constant background apps = WhatsApp, Disa, EQ STime, Google Services, Email Services, aCalendar+,
- RAM balance = about 800MB

Conclusion : For my daily usage as above, the Li-Po 3100mAh capacity is more than enough. Plus, the 5.5" IPS panel is great in auto-brightness mode. No need to adjust brightness manually. Outdoor visibility with auto-brightness is "readable".

Indeed the auto brightness function makes the necessary adjustment for different lighting condition. In addition, it comes with a fine tune slider for the auto brightness which allows the user to dial in higher or lower screen brightness for individual preference.

When you mentioned gesture modes, does it have off screen gestures similar to LG/1+1?
