Wah, nice
I take it it's declared as camera similar to bro azeem?
That's one way to escape the clutches of sirim

Yep, declared as Camera, not Mobile Phone. Still fiddling with it. Might need to do some tweaking before can be fully used. Bro azeem, since my phone already comes preloaded with Google Play Store, if I update to v1.41, will the Play Store disappear?
*
If you flash FULL stock ROM from nubia.cn website (abt 724MB), GAPPs not included. But they (ie importer) has already given the signed ZIP file in the root directory of internal storage. You can flash both stock ROM (ie update. zip) & GAPPs using default CWM recovery... super duper easy...

Root via TowelRoot v3...

Mini @ RM999 (this price may drop monthly...):
http://www.lelong.com.my/kx/zte+nubia+z7+mini.htm

Honor 6 (Single-SIM) also @ RM999 (this price will never drop, if from authorised dealers):
http://www.vmall.my/

If you go for Lazada, use their discount code to slash RM150 from the actual price... but just survey properly the background of the reseller/importer...

If you worry about warranty, go for local reseller/importer... some of them offer 2 years motherboard warranty... screen and others 6 months (i guess...)

Out of the box, the ROM is version 1.29, 1.31, 1.32, 1.38 or 1.41...?

I think you don't feel regret letting go your LeMoto K910 .... icon_idea.gif

Just to let U know, if you've got ROM v1.32, there is a minor bug where your ringtones will not be saved. It will be reverted back to default ZTE ringtone(s), which are to me.... not bad...much beter than the LeMoto default ringtone(s)...

Talk about ringtones, I already heard lots of LeMoto default/stock ringtones whenever I shop/meeting/cinema/etc.

Looks like Malaysian already notice the appearance of China-made-CLass-One manufacturers like LeMoto and Huawei... Sammy, Sony, "i"diotPhone, HTC, etc, are in deep trouble if they don't change strategy....

Hmmm... I have kind of bad news...

The stock Nubia camera app is a little bit buggy... Taking video (4K or 1080P or 720P or 480P) does NOT have auto-focus feature. Even if we can tap to focus, it does NOT always work... out of 10 taps to focus, only 2 times will focus properly...

Hopefully, next ROM update shall eliminate this bugs...

Right now testing several 3rd party camera apps and shall give you the one that I preferred...

Tried the following:
1) LeMoto Super Camera 3.6.7
Verdict : Lag.

2) Camera FV-5 v1.78
Verdict : Acceptable. But hitting Video menu only launch the stock camera app. However, Auto-focus works brilliantly.

3) Camera Zoom FX
Verdict : Acceptable. But hitting Video menu only launch the stock camera app. However, Auto-focus works brilliantly.

4) Cinema FV-5 v1.3
Verdict : Video capturing is stuttering / not smooth.

Conclusion : Keeping Camera FV-5 v1.78 to launch stock camera app in order to take vids with auto focus mode.

For stock ZTE recovery, after rooted & SuperSU is installed, if GMSToolkit does not work to install GAPPs, try any of these methods below:
Method 1:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...36&postcount=25

Method 2:
1.Root with TowelRoot, and then install SuperSU.
2. Install root explorer (or ES file explorer).
3. Allow the ES file explorer to open root of phone to access "/system" directory.
4. Allow "r/w" for "/system".
5. Copy and paste the neccesary apk files (from Method 1 above) into the "/app" or "/priv-app" folders.
6. change the permission for the apk files - follow screenshots Step 11 in Method 3
7. Reboot.
8. Open Playstore.

Method 3:

It comes with v1.38 out of the box. Btw, i found something peculiar with instagram on this phone. When i snap a pix using ig, the image came out blur, but when i snap again using the stock camera app, the image is ok. And when i upload a pix to ig taken from the camera app, the image doesnt show in ig. Any ideas what could cause this? Btw, have already rooted the phone using towelroot and installed supersu.

The trick is to format your thumb drive to FAT32 or exFAT filesystem for the OTG to work with any android phones. Previously my Sandisk was in NTFS, so totally unreadable by Android. But Windows cannot format something as big as 160GB using FAT32, so you will need to download a program that will allow you to format it at FAT32. Good luck.
