just tried out greenify.

basically it put my twitter apps into hibernation. if i hibernate my twitter apps, i guess it means it won't check for updates and i'll need to manually launch it?

Greenify (app) basically stops the selected app background service/process.
And yes, you won't get notifications. However, you can get the donation package + xposed to get notification//GCM push of greenified apps.

One of the must have apps for rooted phones.

Force Stop have to start over and reload, Greenify is Hibernate, it won't start over but instead, it resume where you left off.
Force Stop = Start Over and Reload for new update
Greenify = Pause, Hibernate and Refresh for new update

I just encountered a "bug", i believe...

Last night, the phone was set to quiet mode. Calls and sms has no notification / ringing. But still have notification sounds from whatsapp...

Anyone could help to check whether it is a bug or it is just my phone?

Refresh here means just click on the apps (on homescreen/ apps drawer) to 'wake it up again', right? once wake, it stays awake or greenify will hibernate it shortly after that?
