you mean you swipe a very small amount at new merchant, then call the cs to confirm the mcc before swiping again for the bigger actual intended amount?

by the way, are you holding a platinum hlb wise? otherwise calling the cs is not free.

not platinum le. just normal rm50 per swipe, then call to verify mcc. i only do this when the merchant is roughly a grocery, e.g. mydin or jaya grocer. calling CS just for my curiosity

but if after call only realise it's not under grocery mcc then rugi lor. why not just try to swipe for a mentos first then call 1800388830 (please try and confirm whether gold can use this number? ) before proceed with rm50 swipe.

no service charges apply at customer service counter - using amex to reload on monday night. Max each time RM200, so i reload twice, total 400 but no charges

they minus 50 cents each time from the reloaded amount
