hi there, i am new here. just got my mbb2cards, just wondering using amex to topup tng entitled for cash back during weekend? how long have to wait for the cash back?

yes, for places that accept amex.
1st or 2nd of the following month.

the simplest way is to ask them to disclose the MCC of that particular transaction. another way is to wait for the statement and check if the transaction is tagged as GROCERY category.

A follow up from my previous post about my card being blacklisted, one forummer just PM-ed me and she is having the exactly same issue after trying to reload in Sam Groceria's Nu Sentral. It didn't go through and the transaction was void then her card got blacklisted.

So, this is no longer a coincidence but something wrong in Sam Groceria's TnG reload service that caused it. Not sure if it's for all its outlets but at least the one in Nu Sentral. If possible avoid this outlet temporarily.

I tried once before and it was fine, my friend too. Previously we were using the standalone cashier and no issue. This time is at the normal cashier, I'm clarifying with the forummer which counter she went.

i had done my 3 tng card Reload at sam Groceria at Nu sentral on 25Jan with amex was fine.. Then on tuesday 27th Jan i went again to top up another TnG card but the cashier said cannot top up using CC only cash !!

I did my reload attempt on 27th Jan's night, she didn't tell me cannot accept CC, still swiped my AmEx.
I can remember the date so clearly because that day was my birthday. blush.gif

I went to Sam Groceria Nu sentral today and tried to reload T&G during lunch hours but the cashier said cannot reload today. System down perhaps.

What cc you plan to use it at there? They only accept mc and visa.

Petrol category only apply to usage at pump, not inside at counter.
