It could be not the refinancing interest is higher or what, I guess it is probably the mother or father is old liao n cant do refinancing as no proof of income support n may be left few years to pay the installment. Therefore the father/mother ll have to sell to the son or daughter. They can decide n play with the selling price in order to match the son/daughter n they ll continue to live at the same house by paying iinstallment but pocket now got a big stack of cash from the loan. I have advised the similar method to some of my friends who is out of job n no capital to start up small business. I told them to sell the house to the working kids n can get back some capitals to do some small business. At the end of the day, the house or money still ll go to the kids too...
