TRADEWINDS Corp Bhd plans to launch the first phase of its Belfield project in Kuala Lumpur, comprising high-end serviced apartments. The going price could be below RM1,000 per sq ft for property in a secluded area in the city centre.

“Our price range will be ‘obscenely ridiculous’ at potentially less than RM1,000 psf. But we will not compromise on value. I have seen it being done in other countries and I don’t see why this can’t be done here,” group managing director Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid says.

Drb hicom also have land that vacant for 10yrs in Glenmarie cove & until recently launched.

but at least hicom got reputation built KK but glenmarie cove fail. some guru said this will be launched soon n low land cost, i wait until neck long already for this leasehold project.

It’s buyable at the 900-1k psf range but needs Sunway to be sold out first or you have that freehold vs leasehold comparison. I suspect that’s why they waited this long cuz they can’t compete with Sunway’s price point - all of the rest are on leasehold land.
