i prefer m3800. not too bulky looking.

I also search Y50 lenovo to be tempting, but GTX860, how is the performance gap compare to K1100M Quadro for photoshop/after effect/premier pro rendering job?
*
m3800 fhd almost same price but performance n lasting m4800 has upper hand.

Lenovo y50 is more towards gaming.wat u need is professional GC if u have tons of photo editing. even alienware 17 need to put in extra ram n ssd to do the job

ps. the ssd in the precision. m3800 without ssd oso rm4700 de.

endurance wise K1100M far above gtx 860m. this unit was cancelled becoz the buyer wan m6800... tat y I got it from dell discount. ori price is 2x y50

QUOTE(ExpZero @ Oct 16 2014, 10:20 AM)
1. Brand: Microsoft Surface Pro 3 vs Asus T100
2. Budget: RM1000-RM4000
3. Purpose: Business usage, note taking, presentation power point etc..

After review for several weeks, I have come down to 2 options. One is a laptop replacement Surface Pro 3 and the other one is Asus T100 a lightweight Atom processor.

Description:
-I knew I wanted a laptop for business lightweight usage but at the same time I really can't stand a slow respond system, that's the reason SP3 comes in.
-I already have a gaming laptop so, althought if I purchase SP3, I will not play game on it, because the performance is not on-par. However, recent 3 years, I have no longer playing high graphic games (maybe I'm getting older rolleyes.gif )
-I will bring this laptop around everyday in my bag, the reason I bought this laptop because it's super heavy to move around with my big screen laptop everyday in my bag.
-When in office, I will have power socket, so battery life is not the biggest concern to me as long as it can last for about 3 hours for presentation/out of office.
-I plan to use this "tablet" to watch movie at night occasionally
-I need a system responsive enough not to lag when opening power point, microsoft excel, google chrome, simple extraction. I dislike lagging, my previous experience with HP-mini 110(streamyx free netbook) gave me a nightmare to "atom" processor.

Anyone can make a decision for me?

Hi Shifu's

1. Preferred Brand - Any brand except Acer & Apple
2. Budget - RM 3,500 - RM 4,000 (Best within the range of RM 3.5k)
3. Usage - Lots of web browsing & streaming,  M.Office, moderate gaming (eg Dota 2, LoL, MMORPG like DN)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size - No Preference at moment (please give a number of options) / from 14" - 17"
Not really good with comps, therefore I dont really know what to further elaborate on the other requirements.
I just need a good few options from fellow shifu's so I'm able to go around the mall for a survey and shortlist from there.

Really appreciate your time spending here.

1. Preferred Brand : Any brand which is good
2. Budget : 3k
3. Usage : Assignments, typing lots and lots of papers, throw in a little bit of movies and music, and sometimes also some really light gaming. But all and all, the typing experience must be prioritized. And also easy to carry around since will be bringing it everywhere.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size (x) : below 14' (I actually really love the 12.5 screen size of the Lenovo Thinkpad T440.)

Should i go for a Macbook air? I've never crossed the divide before. Or can I get something similar with a windows Ultrabook?

Thanks again for your attention, shifus!

Hi Sifus,

I need some advice.

1. Preferred Brand - any
2. Budget : 2500 to 3000
3. Usage : work (I do a lot of ECAD work, rendering, ect), gaming a little.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size :15" to 17"
5. Easy to take care. Weight is not a problem but I need something durable & easy to repair.
6. Was thinking of the illegear P15Fv2 but a little out of my budget.

Thanks in advance
