But the minimum income must meet the requirement right?
*
My income did not reach 100k PA last time. But I still manage to get 1.

It's how the Credit Center will analyse and see whether it's possible to offer you a card or not.

What you can do, is to convince them you are capable to repay the amount you use.

Mean I can request low cl vs and the most important thing is to convince them to give me the card? hmm.gif
*
It's whether they will approve or not? laugh.gif

As I said, try your luck.

If your income hit 70k, no issues already.

If you want to place FD, the amount is negotiable providing you have a basis for argument.

And if you want a lower limit, just tell them straight up.

But last year EA is less than RM70K only 2016 onwards would exceed
*
Offer to throw in few k of FD to secure your application.

Just curious.

Planning to purchase flight ticket from airlines.

Would it be considered as Overseas transaction for VS?

Or should I get a Premier miles card just to collect more air miles point?

Company pay on behalf tongue.gif

But yeah, this card looks a little ridiculous in terms of spending for waiver.

Maybe year end, gonna cancel this card in favor of the Premier card.

easier to get waiver if premier?

No idea.

But my payments are on behalf so 50k is an easy target honestly.

Main reason to go Premier was for my air miles actually.

I switched my Premier card for the Visa signature. Reason is because the Premier card doesn't offer anything attractive to me at all compared to the the VS.
No exemptions. AF with 80K spending.
*
Premier offers air miles, something which I could use + overspend spending on behalf would easily rake up my air miles and AF waiver.

Compared to VS which provides daily CB for Groceries and Petrol, I already have other cards which can compliment that already.

And Oh, Premier has some dining deals which I could use as well tongue.gif

I still remember the Amex Card 2 revised privilege. Sekejap ada, sekajap takde.

Which is why must abuse it while it exist tongue.gif

If the spending is at 30k to waive, I would've probably keep this card as a spare.

Well yeah, i though so too. Very tricky of them!
*
I was told it was 40k per block as well when I got this card.

QUOTE(guanteik @ Nov 22 2015, 10:45 PM)
Yeah, anyway, to get the waiver we need to spend 50K, so... 40K isn't hard to achieve.
*
For people earning 70k to spend 50k, that's a brilliant move there by MBB to drive people to bankruptcy tongue.gif

I just wanna use this card for petrol and groceries. Then after 1 year cancel. No point focus spending on this card.
*
If you solely want petrol and groceries, HLB Wise better deal la.

This card is for high spenders mostly.

Or people who keep paying on behalf of other people laugh.gif

Summore damn hard to get Treatpoints since it's only X1 except overseas spending at X5? Lol.

Well, if I were to earn 70K p.a I won't even consider about this card. That kind thinking is like those earning just enough in order to apply for a hire purchase for a car they cannot afford to maintain if you get what I mean...
That's what I mean... If you got what I mean... smile.gif
For cash vouchers - any amount especially redeeming Jusco vouchers. You should not be using VS for vouchers redemption because your TP is a scarce.
*
It's okay to earn 70k and use this card if you're using it to pay on behalf of other people / family members.

Just don't purposely spend 50k to get waiver lol biggrin.gif

I blame this on the decision to lower down the income req. More people signing up means more CB and PPL expenses.

MBB VI is not affected, so there is an option there for those whose CL meets the min req.
*
Add 10k from a VS, you'll get a VI laugh.gif

Sadly, I have qualified myself for another free year for this card sad.gif

Guess I have to finally part some loose changes in my pocket and go for Premier cards :/

the 5x will do for me
the min CL for VI is 30k am I right?, VS is 20k
*
30k yeah.

If you're lucky, last time roadshow I heard income required was reduced to 120k.

So 20k would technically still be within tolerable limit laugh.gif

Am looking at other bank's premium range cards already.

Even the airmiles for M2Premier won't last long according to rumours cry.gif

QUOTE(plumberly @ Feb 15 2016, 11:24 AM)
Even for VI? Looks like MB is doing that for all its cards or other cards will also follow suit.

Why?

In current economy, everyone has to tighten their belts mah. Ha.
*
There are other PPL cards but honestly, kinda a dick move from MBB la.

It's a premium card, if you cut so much benefits, might as well cancel the card.

The rot started with M2C and followed by the rest :/

Complaint more please.

Just called in to cancel.

When asked why, say no more PPL despite the fact that I have YET to even utilize my PPL quota for the year laugh.gif

As usual, asked me to hold on longer as they might be coming up with new plans and etc.

Since already qualify for next year's AF waiver, see how la.

Requested for a Amex reserve again. Hopefully not rejected tongue.gif

You do know that if you spend 50k for waiver, assuming you get CB for 12 months, that's just a mere MYR 1,056....

I'd prefer to pump the money into the Air Miles card rather than this overpriced CB card :/
