Currently my maybank 2 plat card have a CL of 20k, does it mean I can upgrade to VS without providing my income documents?

My income less than 100k p/a
*
You can try.

But with the flood of people applying VS, I doubt they will easily "upgrade" you unless you are a hardcore user....

I'm a maybank loyal customer, been using maybank credit cards for 4-5 years. Lolz

groceries 5% everyday for this card, so all hypermarket, supermarket, department store enjoy the cash rebate?
*
I'm a loyal use of their financial services for more than 10 years laugh.gif

Took them a while to offer me a VS.

As for the groceries, pretty sure it applies to most usual one except for departmental stores like some part of Aeon.

I supposed you pledged FD for VS? Or you didn't eventually and got it?
*
Nah.

Got a huge loan with them under my name.

Decided to ask for it nicely from the person handling my case.

Since I am an existing user for their financial services, my paycheck goes through there and etc, they gave it to me in the end laugh.gif

Just in time for the M2C revision.

Good for you. smile.gif

My loan is not with them though my salary goes to them. smile.gif

Anyway, I will not pledge for FD unless it is really necessary, let's see how it goes later.
*
Honestly, they ain't too fussed about giving me the VS.

It's me who is hesitant to proceed as the AF seems hefty and I don't think my spending does reach 50k P.A. for auto waiver laugh.gif

But seeing how M2C removed the 5%, might as well take it and worry about AF next year laugh.gif

you need to max every month CB only able to get the extra RM256 for a year.... not easy to get that RM256.

Additional, if you pledge FD you only enjoy the board rate which 3%+ p/a which I know not worth it as there are plenty of FD rate >4% nowdays
*
3,3 for 12 months tongue.gif

0.3% for 20k is a lot!

That's 1 week worth of meal for me.

Plenty are above 4, but even if 4,3 interest rate, you only get an extra RM 200.

But if you maxed out your CB for VS, you already got RM 1056 (256 after AF 2nd year) in comparison....

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 16 2015, 05:11 PM)
If I get it, I will say take first and worry later. tongue.gif

I'll ask my colleague to apply one since MBB2Cards no longer has any benefits. She is an expatriate and earns >120k per annum. I can suggest this to her. hmm.gif
*
Yes, take 1st and worry later.

This card so far I swipe for my parents and relative a lot.

called maybank CS just now, was told need to pledge FD 100k to get this VS card, i was like HUH?????????? Then I tell him are you sure? VI only need 30k, then he hold my call and come back with they donno , ask me go to the branch and ask.... =.=""

Anyone tried to pledge FD to get this VS? i'm holding maybank2card with 20k CL, how much FD do I need to pledge to get this card...hmmm?
*
I think the TS of this thread should update the 1st post in this thread.

20k FD is more than sufficient for a VS. Think few formers have done it via FD and it's definitely not 100k....

Not sure about your current CL but if you want to be safe, just put in 20k and be done with it.

You'll get the card within the same day if you're lucky.

This is unlike CIMB Visa signature in which they could issue a new card within an hour time.
*
You throw FD, morning clear, afternoon collect laugh.gif

If not, wait 3-5 days lo.

Not really a big deal since it's a pretty good card with decent benefits.

any1 successful get visa signature by pledge FD?

may I ask can efixed Deposit done in M2U  can be use?

and what is the minimum term to get ya? 1 month or 12 months FD?
thanks.
*
Sudah banyak Kali orang reply soalan ni....

Minimum is 20k, some say can top up if your existing M2C limit is 10k, you just need to add another 10k.

Can't pledge online, you need to walk into branch for them to keep the original FD receipt.

12 month at 3.3% p.a.

If you uplift, card automatic cancel and 3 months to refund from the same branch.

If can do online, great.

If can't, just walk into the branch and get it by the of business day tongue.gif

My experience, walk in branch faster. 1 day can kaw tim.

I went bank yesterday and they say yes, try to pledge a premier 2 card, but the worries is my astronomy 200%DSR
*
Damn them CS.

When I ask say kenot.

Today I go and ask again. If can, I want top up to increase my limit further.

4.07% + VS is much better compared to some promotional rate out there at 4,2~4,4.

when u guys pledge the FD, the bank took the fixed deposit cert right? did the bank give u any official statement that they already took the FD cert for processing?
*
They gave you a copy of the FD cert.

And your M2U will reflect an amount pledged for FD few hours later.

Go klcc can do all in one place as its a card center + the branch is beside the card center laugh.gif

If you do it in the morning, maybe evening can collect already.

Depends on your luck biggrin.gif

I applied MBB VS, PBB VS, SCB cc simultaneously. Both card sent to me except MBB VS no news. Sent an email to them at 7pm. I received SMS stating my card approved within 2 minutes. I feel that the email was the most powerful channel!
*
Wrong.

Spamming via FB is the most powerful medium.

I got my VS last time after I complaint about the crap they were giving me with my banking facilities last time.

Even got the manager to deliver it to me in person tongue.gif
