QUOTE(chiahau @ Jul 16 2015, 04:47 PM) Nah. Got a huge loan with them under my name. Decided to ask for it nicely from the person handling my case. Since I am an existing user for their financial services, my paycheck goes through there and etc, they gave it to me in the end Just in time for the M2C revision. Good for you. My loan is not with them though my salary goes to them. Anyway, I will not pledge for FD unless it is really necessary, let's see how it goes later.

QUOTE(shiroikun @ Jul 16 2015, 05:03 PM) Those cards with high amount of annual fee, don't think it's a good choice to pledge FD as you only can enjoy 1 year benefit and it will trouble you when you want to cancel the card after a year because they won't waive the annual fee for you But you get to enjoy it one year. Imagine if you could maximize the cash back and get RM 88 per month, one year already earned RM 1056. Minus the AF of RM 800, you still earn in a way.

QUOTE(shiroikun @ Jul 16 2015, 05:09 PM) you need to max every month CB only able to get the extra RM256 for a year.... not easy to get that RM256. Additional, if you pledge FD you only enjoy the board rate which 3%+ p/a which I know not worth it as there are plenty of FD rate >4% nowdays If I get it, I will say take first and worry later. I'll ask my colleague to apply one since MBB2Cards no longer has any benefits. She is an expatriate and earns >120k per annum. I can suggest this to her. My HR Manager walked to me and asked about CIMB card benefits because she knows I always do research on CC. I told her it is basically useless, don't waste your time with that. Her savings account is in CIMB and CIMB called to offer her a credit card which she doesn't get the name. I suspect it could be WMC or something premier. Her income is around 300k per annum but seldom travels. So, I told her to apply for MBB VS and PBB VS since she uses it for groceries and petrol mostly. The worst thing is she is only holding Citibank Cash Back Platinum. Oh God, I was like why? Now she knows already and will apply for MBB VS and PBB VS and I told her about the RM 50k spending for MBB VS, she said shouldn't be a problem for her.

QUOTE(ckk125 @ Sep 4 2015, 01:41 PM) How much? Gst only rm50 right? No more Government Service Tax, that means no more RM 50. However, this GST is Goods and Services Tax, that means RM 550+6% = RM 583

QUOTE(chiahau @ Sep 28 2015, 02:47 PM) Any idea with Apple store? Plan to haul something there soon and may want to swipe my Signatures instead of my CIMB. CIMB has Border Charges for Apple Store because it is from SG Apple Store. I was busy purchasing few units of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus last year when it was released, many reported in the iPhone thread about this matter. Of course I used AmEx that time, earned TP and CB.

QUOTE(chiahau @ Sep 28 2015, 03:04 PM) It's from Singapore so would it be considered as 5x Treatpoints for VS then since Singapore is technically over the sea? Probably but my point is don't use CIMB CR for this transaction.

QUOTE(fish_pg @ Oct 7 2015, 08:54 AM) But spending for RM30K a year to entitle for 2nd year free of annual fee is a bit harsh. 30k is probably achievable for me.

Aiya, everyone has their own preference la. Like my case, I travel for business very often. Once every month to overseas but I won't really be benefited for this because I have a corporate credit card supplied by Company that we need to charge business expenses to it. Only my own expenses I will use this VS if I apply for it. As for my petrol, Company gives me a fixed allowance every month, I use or don't use I have RM 700 every month. So well, just choose whatever is the best for you.

QUOTE(chiahau @ Oct 7 2015, 01:04 PM) Mine was because it was offered by the bank. So they took their sweet time before sending the card over to the manager before the manager pass it back to me. That was few months ago la, so can't be 100% sure anymore. Yours different ma. Pledged FD for other cards and took up their loan, they sure treat you well. Anyway, good for everyone now.

QUOTE(supersound @ Oct 10 2015, 09:06 AM) Well, it is more stupid on spending more just to get free AF if does not travel much People don't apply this card solely for PPL purpose. What did you gain in condemning others? They have their own preference and you have yours, I have told you few times about this. Don't try to trigger my anger here, I have been patient enough with you but remember patience has its limit.. They want to spend more to waive AF, they want to pay AF, it's their freaking money. Does it hurt you? Do they ask the money from you? This card has its benefits for groceries and petrol. They know what they want and you have no rights to question nor condemn others. This is my last verbal warning to you and refrain yourself from posting unnecessarily.

QUOTE(supersound @ Oct 10 2015, 03:49 PM) Well, the benefits can be revised as and when they like. For your case, I think getting 3 cards will be better option as what I shared before. Also, if travelling on 2, the second person also need to pay, right? Can always get a supplementary card for your partner if that person always travels with you.
