Hey guys.

1st of all, this is not a spam and if I have violated any rules, kindly inform me. Thank you.

Recently, i have added "Proton Automotive Central" category in my forum as i have found out that there does not seem to be a forum that cater more for Proton and its owner particularly the Preve and Suprima S.

So hope you guys can check it out. wink.gif That particular category is newly created and yes currently do not have any active members yet. But no harm to check it out right? smile.gif

Got any question, feel free to ask or PM me smile.gif Thank you very much

Check it out smile.gif TY

cannot use WD40?

source:http://lifehacker.com/5891936/when-should-i-not-use-wd-40
WD-40 isn't actually a true lubricant. WD stands for "water displacing" and its main use is as a solvent or rust dissolver.

The lubricant-like properties of WD-40 come not from the substance itself, but from dissolving components. And the effect doesn't last.

WD-40 can be a good substance to start with — it can help clean up rust or other grime. But depending on what you're working with, you should probably follow up WD-40 with use of a true lubricant such as one based on silicone, grease, Teflon, or graphite.

White Lithium Grease is ideal for metal-to-metal applications that require heavy-duty lubrication and protection against rust and corrosion. Our white lithium grease sprays on evenly as a liquid and sets dry for a thick, protective coating that won't run off. Effective in a temperature range from 0° F to 300° F, WD-40 Specialist White Lithium Grease provides unbeatable protection with long-lasting lubrication on auto hinges, gears, sprockets, outdoor hinges, latches, overhead door tracks, pulleys, cables and guide rails.

1.6L referring to engine cc where by SS is 1561cc and CFE referring to Charged Fuel Efficiency or Proton's CamPro CFE engine with light-pressure intercooled turbocharged engine.

For more info read from http://funtastickodesign.wordpress.com/201...ampro-cfe-1-6l/

I got my Atlantic Blue Suprima S two weeks ago.
No problem so far except bad radio reception although I am in PJ area (in good reception area).
Anyone have a similar problem?

Congrats on your new ride. Seriously open boot with remote no problem blink.gif . Can open boot with single press on the remote when the car is unlock.

Are you tuned to the recommended frequency by the respective stations. Try off the AF(Alternate Frequency) function. Mine works fine without the AF function. Off course if you are in enclosed area the reception will be poor such as underground parking, tunnels and surrounded by many tall buildings eg. apartments/condos.

YES, boot cannot open when press once. Didn't mention earlier cause I think can be fixed. Radio reception poor may not be able to fix. Mine off AF, outdoor in town, reception not as good as my old car proton iswara. Perhaps is an antenna problem? Will let service center know on 1K service

happened once. After few times pressing, even turn off and start still there. Left it one day, everything ok. Maybe I long press the power button and the home button. I forgot. But this is not permanent.

Went through the V1 to salvage any information that worth it then made an archive out of it though.

So far i think the only thing worst to salvage will be the reviews and also the tyre by volt.

Unfortunately,i can't seem to find a full proper checklist for 1st time owner to check when they wanna get their car from showroom as well as for owner who 1st time service their car in SC.

The semi and full synthetic oil still very much a debate , so i not sure how to post it rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Here

You guys are welcome to give any suggestions and so on wink.gif
