I'm happy with what I have because I'm not looking to break any Guinness book of record...hahahaha. Having more power is a plus point but more importantly is how one can understand and fully use the available power to his/her advantage. After all dyno figures are just numbers on paper, how to apply those figures in real is a whole different thing.

Totally agree with you. My previous post was to troll back dares nia whistling.gif So, don't worry, ayam not saying u butthurt. If anyone wants their butthurt, it would be myself blush.gif

Anyway, u may consider ask Hapis do a top speed run on your getrug gebox. I find it really useful especially knowing my maximum whp range against shift is within 100~140kph. I wont even waste gas to go after 150kph liao laugh.gif

Actually, I've went to 5 different windshield workshop including dr.cermin and more or less, they told me that they can't fix cracks that are more than 1 inch in length. And yes, the crack has grown. I even mark it with a permanent marker for tracing purpose. I will have to resort to changing the whole windshield eventually :S
*
Nonsense whistling.gif People can repair up to 18inches. kennywee92 ady repaired his 8 inches, and those bloody shop you visited all can't repair anything more than 1 inch? Go back read my post again, they die die want you to replace windshield correct? Tell you can claim insurance correct? So they can profit more from the deal correct? laugh.gif

Hi all! Recently i feel my Saga FLX's petrol consumption is very high. I am not so sure why. I pump RM50 (about ~22L usually), can only go for about less than 330KM, sometime only around 280KM.
Is this normal? =/

p/s: I'm a female driver ^^
*
Because sometimes jam, sometimes not. Sometimes u drive until the yellow lite blink 50km also not go fill petrol, deswai the next time u only get 280km understand? U try again everytime go fill up when touch 280km for RM50, you suddenly realize next time petrol spill out from the tank. Then you probably will complain said the fuel tank shrunk laugh.gif

Not really, they actually look at it and straight away told me that they can't do it. I told them if they can atleast try but they do not want to take the risk.

Can recommend me one shop in KL area?I already went to a couple in gombak area.
*
Eh? Edited reply? I think I know what you mean hmm.gif Try consider 1 more time, to put in effort to FIX it instead of replace it.

And if you already made up your mind gonna change 1, then no 1 can stop you other than your safety conscious.

i pump RM65 only get around 330km~370km
davidke20, the crash i mention on friday night.

*
Judging by the road layout, the way the car sway, it was a clear miscalculated mistakes as below:

1) Tyre condition, too much understeer as the driver intended to cut to the left exit from the right lane
2) Over speed trying to cut to the left exit from the right lane
3) Over weight(other 4 passenger the media mentioned, meaning there's a total 6 occupants in the vehicle)
4) Has a drilled slotted disc, but the caliper seems like a bogus BREMBO COVER. It probably stopped the wheel, not the car. Skidded and hit the road divider. Hitting a divider above 60kph will render in 0 stopping force.

blink.gif  blink.gif Who kopek the roof, the rescuers or the tree?  shocking.gif
*
The rescue require to ripped the roof off, otherwise the trapped driver's body and the rear passenger's body will have to be ripped off before they can pull the bodies off. Take note, usually we think bomba will come and grind the door and tear it off to pull occupants out, but in this case involved in fatality, and rescue a dead body is not as important as postmortem for the accident car, leaving the impact door in place helps forensic to justify the last speed DURING impact. Hence, ripping the roof off is the best calculated risk for them to withdraw the dead bodies without destroying the "evidence" too much.

6 airbags complete with stability control also kenot defeat physics.

Tree 1 - 0 Golf
*
Stable = understeer. Look at the video, the driver has miscalculated his exit point. Took the exit like he's driving 60 instead of 160. It's not like the car understeered until like that; it looks more like FORGOTSTEER yawn.gif It looks more like:

Driver: Wah jiu see wa eh chia lua kin, ji ba boi zhap liao
Passenger: Ah hia! Ji beng choot ar.
Driver: Aiya si meh? Si liao wa boh zhu ee leh. Boh iao gin, wo dong gim choot. Toh chiu beng si hmm si?
Talked too much, already too damn late to turn left
Passenger: Understeer liao
Driver: Hailut
PANG!

Entire clan of VW cars regardless multilink or torsion beam setup, they're meant to be understeer(other than MKII Audi TT that equipped with front dropped spindle, which castor & camber will change according to steering input that its agility is so sensitive to an extend the Germans has the highest accident rate on that particular car). The mentioned incident has nothing to do with the car, clearly it's driver error. Take note on the forensic marking

1st impact, the right wheel hit the road curb. Basically the car has already losses all control, regardless what stability control, ABS, or whatso ever, the wheel is not touching the ground. There isn't anything to stop that piece of metal crate anymore.

2nd impact, where the undercarriage land on the railing. This point of time, probably airbags already deployed(which explained why the airbags isn't helping DURING the actual impact where the car hits the tree)

3rd, the actual/final impact. Nothing much to talk about. The driver probably got hit by the airbag during the 2nd impact went unconscious and died on the final impact in his dream. If the 2nd impact did not happened, they probably survived as the airbag will only deploy during the tree impact. As for the rear driver side Taiwanese lady not supposed to die. But I think it's not the tree that killed her, probably the passenger next to her did. The sudden STOP of the vehicle(due to the impact), the next passenger inertia continued to hit on the Taiwanese lady, hence she's like a pillow for the next passenger liao whistling.gif

To clear that corner, detached the front ARB. Then go UR install a marthafarking huge rear ARB. So now you have a front extremely fast action pointy steering, whereas the rear super understeer to help push the front oversteer further. I know someone who did it to his car like that already icon_idea.gif Shall see his action this 14/9 at Elite cool2.gif

davidke20 need to get your kind advice on this problem for BLM/FL/FLX.

Knocking noises when braking slowly, especially downhill. Proton SC changed a whole new set of drum brakes twice in 3 years. Last changed was last month and the noise came back.

What's the problem? Other than cleaning the brake drums from those brake dusts and replacing new one still the same. Could it be other problem and not the drum brakes?
*
Like this very hard to say geh. From cheapest to most expansive diagnostic should be brake cylinder jam. Can have muffled knock sound. Then the brake hub. Why change still got sound? I'm sorry to tell you, it's a manufacturer defect. I'd guess atleast 50% of those hub supplied since FLX are defective(not round enough). I have never heard of knocking sound on my Shawie, until I changed to FLX drum. The very 1st moment turun jack, reverse the car out ady kena "kup kup kup" doh.gif Got thought of change another pair of drum geh, but the problem is like 1/2 of those stocks are defective. It's a chance that after change still got sound. 1 drum baru RM49.50 iinm, but I ended up resolved with sent those hubs to machinery chop and mill off 1 layer of those hubs' inner diameter, which cost RM35/pc moneyflies.gif Until today, never heard of those knocking sound anymore icon_idea.gif

Another thing is, could it be possibly caused by front? Please double confirmed during the knocking sound got steering sensation mou? If whilst listening to the "tok tok" sound and your steering also jerk jerk, it could be disc berak rotor hmm.gif

WTA erm why my car got iii iii sound when start moving my car from every morning arh? i think is from the rear side, will it be rear drum brake? after step some on the accelerator pedal then the sound gone liao..
PS : Today at college saw a BLM with godcar rims  yawn.gif

Sticky berak shoe/cylinder. Whilst start driving, when u hear the "Eeeee" sound, hold the henberek release button, pull up kaw kaw as if u trying to drift then quickly release back. This will flicker the berak shoe back to rest position nod.gif

No this will not cure the root cause, but it extend the shoe's life a little by prevent it from jam there over long period. Until u sent for repair flex.gif

oo, okkay thanks biggrin.gif will drive drive half way jam?  shocking.gif  shakehead.gif
bringing my car go SC service by this week  rolleyes.gif
*
Cause of sticky berak usually is the rubber seal in berak cylinder start leaking, where berak dust got stuck on the cylinder shaft. It has to wait until cool down baru the fluid+dust will turned grease. So its safe to say it won't jam half way driving. Just make sure ur berak fluid is in safe level to drive will do.

And, SC usually doesn't change cylinder immediately. By the time u reached SC, the berak ady back to resting position. Hence they also won't know what is your actual plobrem, and u will not be able to replicate it until the berak is totally cool down. Usually they'll just grind 1 layer of the berak shoe and ask u go home. So, gud lark with the claim.

Regardless how hard I drive, konar until wanna terbalik, there's always some moron near by. Either its a powderful kar + selow driber trying to cut me from the apex(which I already there), or another selower kar fast driber at the apex already, and I had to be the moron trying to cut them from the apex sleep.gif
