anyone knows howto stop playing audio via built in sound recorder app? whan starting to play seems cant stop, no button to stop, only can pause. when paused, notification pulldown showed sound recorder is paused and it stayed there, cant be swiped away, only disappear when i manually kill the audio recorder app from settings. so annoying to kill it manually every time doh.gif
did i missed something? im using zf4 with latest ota update installed.

for my zf4 with 1600mah battery, 12 hours between charge with 3 hours screen on time.
thats with my moderate usage ie whatsapp, flipboard, tapatalk, no game, wifi connected.
so if you're into zf4, powerbank is a must nod.gif

found a better alternative for greenify, doesn't need root. can hibernate system app and service too unlike greenify.

u should also know greenify without root is so much hassle to click on its widget to hibernate, each and every time.
this is automatic, without root, without clicking widget whistling.gif

i've reinstalled it just to make this screen appear rolleyes.gif
sure the automation is there but not full. if relaunch after first hibernate which is experimental in non root mode in the first place, apps will stays in cache and cannot be rehibernated by greenify. thats what i understand from this screen.

imho the best widget for lockscreen is dashclock coupled with dashnotifier
can add clock, weather, missed call notif, whatsapp notif, fb notif etc. basically u can and any notification to the lockscreen.

anyone wanna contribute to availability of custom kernel for zenfones can email gpl@asus.com and ask them to release the full defconfig (config to compile kernel).

zf5 (and maybe 6 too?) now can unlock bootloader and can boot unsigned/unofficial aka custom kernel but since the source asus gave is incomplete, no full defconfig provided, no one manage to compile full booting kernel yet sad.gif

i've looked into the kernel source, got chance asus enable kexec like older motorola phones. can use it to boot custom kernel without need to unlock bootloader thus still keeping warranty intact.

finally rooted my zenfone 4 after a month. feels more complete with root tongue.gif
while i'm at it i've also deodexed /system, repack as ext4 system.img and flash via fastboot, feels abit snappy compared to odex brows.gif

i'm using the zenfone 4 a400cg and to be frank, battery life on asus zenfones with intel proc is horrible compared to other droids using arm proc. if battery life is your concern, go for redmi but if perfomance is what u after then go get a zenfone nod.gif
i'd recommend directd. so far only got one model for zenfone 4.5, codename a450cg.
and regular price is around rm369, not rm300.
