all this talk about FF and L lens.

I went on with photography career and bagging awards and projects with just APS-C camera (EOS 60D) and no L lens (EF-S 10-22).

so you think buying EOS 70D and non L lens is bad stuff?

my L lens (70-200 F4L) is my only L and the most useless lens in my arsenal. My most used lenses are EF-S 15-85 (video, photos on goldfries.com) - EF-S 10-22 (commerial work, interior) - and 50mm f1.4 (commercial work, food.)

i shoot with 50mm too at first,

I find it the minimal focus distant very disturbing. (yes it is very small indeed)

I think for food close up,best is 70-100mm range

if shoot overall, 35mm will be very good choice

I know, but 50mm need to crop =(

That's what im trying to say, the minimal distant is 0.4m

I tried my friend 85mm, very good potrait lens, super sharp mustache also can see clearly

Minimal distance is around 0.5-06m?

hehe, but i really enjoy your photo. it has good composition of colour, props, and good selection of food

May i know why not 100mm?

how's the 5D classic so far? always wanted to get one but never got the courage to bite the bullet

if you don't need those modern features but enjoy snapping photos then 5Dc is a good starting point for FF, although 5D2 is affordable now or wait until Canon announce 5D4, 5D2 will be even cheaper and my 5D3 will be out for sales

My Sandisk extreme 32GB 120MB/s CF card just gave me some issues.

After an entire day of photoshoot for a prewedding no less, I came back to find all the files gone. Put in Camera and the camera won't even load lol.

Lucky the rescue pro software manage to restore all the images.
But darn it, not sure if it's Magic lantern(stable release), my camera or my card....

ya bro. After that I go google about the 24mm pancake. only realise it's for EF-s. LOL. 

Ya.. the lenses will burn pocket. In the end, I just go with Canon. Got myself an uber good condition used 6D. 1400 shuttercount at under 4.5k. phew.. 

bought 24-70F4L used as well. Complete set.

Time to say byebye to my trusty 60D and 15-85mm d.
