Food photography isn't point and shoot. Alot lighting knowledge require...you have a good start but it doesn't make the bun taste nice and the colour is very dull...background wise is boring.
*
eh, dull meh? i reduced the contrast coz earlier i thought too over liao, let me check the colors on another pc n see..
but yeah, this bread not fresh bread, thats y the colors also not so appetizing d

I'm hoping they'll provide 4k video without the price of the c-series camera.
Price will be dropping (even further) for 5D3 too.
*
hahaha that one like fake food liao...
but i do agree, this is a simple shot, no styling what-so-ever wink.gif

QUOTE(goldfries @ Jan 28 2015, 10:46 AM)
biggrin.gif actually your photo main problem is exposure.
*
yeah, still working on it actually, manually tweaking the monitor up n down, maybe for once i need to get my monitor properly calibrated tongue.gif

I'm surprised because your output usually looks fine. biggrin.gif So I was somewhat puzzled on how come your photo becomes bad all of a sudden.
*

Yea... The shadow hits me hard. I try to move my flash, adjust power level. Trying to make both even light level. Can't achieve also... Is it because flash didn't sync properly? Cause I'm using wireless remote on 1 flash and other using slave mode

The spoon scratch cause don't have nice spoon lol! Didn't get new props!

Where should I improve more? How's the composition?

For this picture definitely need to crop
*
u saw the reflection of the spoon to the bowl? this kinda things a bit too distracting, others ok la, not bad, shoot more! smile.gif

Hi guys, seeking your advice. I would like to purchase a second-hand camera with budget less than RM1K as I'm a novice in photography. I had an eye on EOS 50D + EF 50mm f 1.8 II.

Wondering if this camera is relevant nowadays, or perhaps you can suggest a better spec for my budget?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
*
i used to own a 60D, which is a marginal upgrade from the 50D, and i am also still using the 50mm till now. depends on what u want to shoot, personally i am very very ok with this setup. price wise i wont know though, good luck smile.gif

CF card is readily available BUT limited nowadays that most cameras are going SD Card.

Furthermore, computers come with SD Card readers but not CF card.

luckily Mr Diy sells cheapo CF card readers tongue.gif

that's why I'm hesitating to buy.. wondering if there is issue with the camera or whether it is a secondhand unit.. (it's listed as 'new' though)
The seller is AC electronics and it is shipped from oversea.. no details of warranty too

surf through other items by this supplier and found similar spec of 70D with price RM3,722. This is so puzzling..
*
wah, u cant get any good deals here?

I actually like the slight glare on top.
More so if it's a distinct line.

Like on most Apple products

Well saw the watch photo by mingyuyu and decided to take some watch photos myself.  Things don't look the same...

Feels like the things in the watchs are kind of rough.  Is it the light is too rough?  I used 2 flashes.  One with a soft box shoot straight at the watch to act as key light.  And the other flash with a diffuser just straight up the ceiling to fill whatever.

I also tried macro on it.  I hardly ever use the Tamron 90mm so it was about time:

bro, u bumped the recovery n fill light too much till can see the halo at the edge?
