My reason for merge is there is a more wiser senior in A thread, and they can give a lot better advise. And most A user have E mount too, and I always see many un-answered e mount newbie question or being answered back with misleading info. You will be surprise many a mount user knows the answers many funny issues with the E mount system. tongue.gif

Hi, can add me in the nex5n user list? Bought display set few month back. Still lots to learn.

Anyway, i notice that few of my shots (3/10 maybe) that the lens sometimes focus on the background instead of the subject, especially when the subject is near.

Is it something wrong or i just need to refocus using DMF mood?

I almost sell my SELP1650 kit lens, but later found it to be quite good for travel and event use,
especially when there is no time to change lens.

Here are some of my shots taken with SELP1650 for your reference.

Marvelous!!

Thanks. smile.gif
I always set my camera's creative style to sharpness+2, no further sharpness enhance in post-processing.

try this link http://www.gstrapinuse.com/index.php?main_...dex&cPath=89_34

they are fair price.. I had bought 2 tripod from them.. and the service is fast too.

From my experience, do consider getting slightly better ones than the low range (like what I did initially - that is why i ended up with 2)..

the extra weight difference is not really that significant. It will not add that much more relative to carrying a 3 kg lens. but the difference in performance is quite noticeable. Unfortunately you will not notice it until you get the wrong one out in the filed!!! (too late then) More so when you load the tripod with long lens. IF you are just shooting family photo then not much issue. But if you intend to double it for macro and long lens then best to get the better ones. I wanted the Q666 and ended up with Q777 no stock but no regret since they offer me the same price, only slightly shorter..

these are my experience and still learning, but others will differ. Happy hunting.

Ntg to do with DMF
Its most likely to do with the lens minimum focus distance MFD. It means that you're focusing on something too near for the lens to focus on. Remedy is for you to take a step back.

2ndly, be aware of where your focusing points are placed (those blinking green boxes). If set to auto, you need to half press the shutter button to it focuses on your subject. If you're seeing it manually, the adjust the point to over your subject and half press to confirm focus.
