I've already touched the A6000. Feels good.

Oh ya... Forgot A5100 got  plus... The touch screen. Zzz they priced it so close yet each one has its own pros and cons. Kacau betul...
*
u ask a forum member named Ah Hao. he had bought A5100 and he quite regret of purchase A5100. for me, i don't like the simple design of A5100 and odd touch screen operation, as Ah Hao mentioned earlier

hmm.gif Then hope sony will update A6000 with the codec. They updated RX10 and RX100 d.

Seriously? I thought it's completely the same? Same sensor thus same pixel focus thingy, same number of AF points also.

biggrin.gif Nvm that's still a very long time to go. If peaking cannot then use the zoom in thing lo tongue.gif Sure got a way to get around one. Maybe not so convenient only mah biggrin.gif

both image sensor is not exactly same, and certainly A6000's image sensor better than A5100, u can see the difference especially the dynamic range

I'm using the Nissin i40 flash with A6000, the fastest shutter in HSS mode I can get is 1/4000.

May I know other A6000 users who uses HVL-F43M or HVL-F60M,
do you get 1/4000 or 1/8000 for HSS?
*
yes, HVL-43M does support HSS. i'm using A6000 woth HVL-F43M

For the A6000 focusing, i can vouch for it. i brought it to a club with band and tricky lights, it surprisingly focuses better then A99... i wont say it will beat A99, but better in terms like, "i dont have to think" where to lock so it will get the maximum contrast for the AF point to lock, where A6000 AF point is everywhere and it locks like a charm... in fact it locks with more confident then A99. so its like, point, teeteeet, snap... point teeteet snap. no need to brain... sweat.gif no need to mention they even still manage to detect faces and lock to face with confident.... crazy

to be clear, for the phase detect on A6000 to work, you are require to set the AF mode to AF-C, which the AF assist illuminator doesnt comes on to assist in AF-C mode. to means i focus the A6000 in the club without the AF assist light. unlike the A99 in AF-A with AF assist light, still struggle a little more to focus... (if i say A99 struggle, then u should understand how dark it is)

after using it for 2 hours in the club... myself seriously got lost... as in, lost how to i going to use the A99 to overcome the A6000 potential... if u watch initial D, it like how takumi feel after driving his dad's WRX...  totally duno how to use the A99 anymore.
thats why my freinds ask me about e mount, i will go crazy and say grab A6000 and no turning back... thats why you will see me Pro-A6000 aggressively sweat.gif

anyway, on diff topic... i come across this in 500px and tracked down his FB. Calvin Taylor with QX1...capturing  startrails. im not sure if he uses app or manually(waiting his reply in FB).

May I know whats the DC output Ampere for your original external charger.

Btw, I had bought an overprice Digieye iPro HD UV filter RM80. Where did you guys get yours, what brand and price? All the while I knew shops make earning by selling accessories, but I'm in a hurry to use the camera this Saturday, therefore I say ok to pay for it.
*
ur diameter is 40.5mm right? u can get either marumi dhg filter or hoya hmc filter for around rm60. both is better than digieye brand

yup 40.5mm, will take note in future buying. where did you get your filter or you do not use filter? I previously do not use filter on my dslr lens.
*
previously when using SELP1650, i use hoya hmc before switch to zeiss filter, which cost RM180++

btw, u can get hoya hmc filter at foto miami, or marumi dhg filter at foto shangri-la

hi. a newbie here. my bf tells me of a serious mirrorless user shall go for A6000. any A6000 user here? i wish to gather some review from u all guys smile.gif
*
i'm currently using A6000, paired with SEL1670Z lenses. not to mention about the lens quality, the A6000 body really awesome!!! compare with the older camera NEX-6, improved with faster & reliable autofocus performance, better noise performance thumbup.gif

Yeah I did. At least the NX300 + the 16, kit and 85. *erased XD* and the 85 is just beautiful - sharp like eff and with one of the best bokeh I've seen out of an 85mm. The kit is just normal.
*
compare with SAL85F14Z? hahahahaha

Yes I am serious. But I never said "new", I said "street price".

vincentlee90 Yes. Compared to even the Zeiss. Though the Zeiss might have a slight advantage in sharpness, it loses on the bokeh side. IMO anyway.

so shall i assume u had test the samsung 85mm lens with more detail?

Hi guys,

On the A6000, how can I turn off the lcd screen? Just like a DSLR the lcd screen will not always be on and will only show preview of the captured object. Is there a option for A6000 to work the same? The always on lcd are sucking the battery pretty fast.

Thanks
*
do u mean power save mode? if yes, A6000 does have, too

the file type i shoot with my A6000 in raw is .ARW

what software u guys use to edit the raw file? i can't open with photoshop nor lightroom.
i did some google and they suggest to use Image Data Converter, and i dont like it. it's laggy sad.gif
*
regarding of ur problem, i believe u not updated ur lightroom, and ur photoshop raw reader not up to date
ur photoshop program needs ACR ver. 8.4, and lightroom must be at least ver. 5.4

further info, u can refer this

I am thinking of moving ship from micro four thirds and try my hands on a larger sensor.

Thx guys.
