Want to ask what are the major differences between the a5000 vs a6000?

Other than lower noise at higher ISO and higher MP on a6000?

Was thinking to get either the a5000 or a6000 for my gf blogging stuffs.
*
1st, a6000 have hybrid AF, the combination of contrast detection AF & phase detection AF sensor which covers the entire frame, pratically faster and more precise than a5000's CDAF
2nd, a6000 have hotshoe, which can attach accessories like external flash, microphones, etc... that's a5000 lacks
3rd, a6000 have EVF, and the display really awesome!!! it's too bad of a5000 doesn't have EVF and no accessory port for attach external EVF, which NEX-F3 & 5N capable

Pretty much following the RRP pricing when it was first leaked (which we have discussed before lol)... and yeah its definitely overpriced vs the i40, which you can get on the street at only RM550.

One caveat, it will function as a wireless master which the i40 cannot do. Otherwise it doesn't really have much features to justify the (RRP) price - the GN rating is *lower* than the i40 too.

At the offer price, however, it's not bad. Higher power of the i40 vs wireless master on the F32M... hmm.

As for the 43, it's huge on mirrorless cams... and the 60 even more so.
*
i'm using F43 over 4 months. yup, F43 is huge for aps-c mirrorless camera, but i feel ok with it

Was thinking of something around 500 or below...haha! If heard of Yongnuo brand...but some ppl told me it's fully manual...sorry but what's auto and what's manual in a flash?
*
most of 3rd party brand external flash is full manual. it also means that's no any auto mode for it. thus, before u take picture, u must set everything, including the flash power. inexperience user may result of underexposed or overexposed

Also ultra_nyamuk

The Nissin i40 is full TTL capable, BTW. And it's available for around RM500-600.

The ONLY con the i40 has vs first party Sony flashes is that it cannot do wireless master, though it can pretty much do wireless slave (and optical slave for cameras with no built-in WL master capabilities like the A6k).

Jussayin'.

*
yes, A7S RAW file is supported in Lightroom 5.5, along with ACR ver. 8.5

btw, as bro william mentioned. about lenses, 24-70mm for E-mount is F4, meanwhile A-mount is F2.8

A7S is using E mount or A mount lens?

or both are 100% compatible?

Is it like EF vs EF-S lens in canon, where APSC Canon can also use EF lens? something like that.?
*
A7S is E-mount full frame camera. it required A-mount adapter if u use A-mount lenses

Good recommendation though. Worth a look biggrin.gif
First two package with the big bag and flash still worth looking at. 3rd and 4th package nothing too great even compared to the price I buy here in SG.

Now can get 989SGD (1650 Kit + 16GB + Bag + Battery + Lousy mini tripod) from Sony Centre but I got it for 979SGD (1650 Kit + 16GB + Bag + Battery + Sirui Mini Tripod - with proper ball head, anodised surface and solid aluminium alloy) from another Sony distributor for the same package (940SGD + 39SGD for extra battery).

Even factoring in now super high RM-SGD rate (2.63), it still costs just RM2574. But of course, if you get the same package from distributor, possibly you can get at around the same price too biggrin.gif
Not sure why but from the camera screen, I keep feel like I'm getting underexposed images when the exposure comp is set to 0.0. Under normal indoor lighting (225 lux +-), I keep dial in +0.7 ~ +1 to get what I feel is correct exposure. Eyes problem?
*
that's SRP from sony official. mostly can nego with dealers tongue.gif

btw, sounds good for those who prefer portrait lens or G lens

Sifus... Is it still worth it to get the A6000? Rumors of Sony announcing the A7000 at CES @ Vegas in a few weeks' time. Just wondering when it will actually arrive in M'sia...

I have been itching for the A6000 for the last 2 weekS.
*
depends. u can have a hands on testing with A6000 1st before u decide to purchase.
for me, within RM3000, u can have mirrorless camera with faster AF, better IQ, accessories expansion capability.

Why do I need an adapter? hmm.gif
*
because F42AM is auto-lock accessories port, and meanwhile A6000 is hotshoe. that's why adapter is required. Sony's 1st party adapter ADP-MAA allowing u to utilize ur flash with ur A6000 body, as well as TTL capabilities
