Phone + Umobile line not fast enough la

I was using 1mbps Streamyx at home to buy my first unit. Need another unit for my sis. Raya, went out of town, only got umobile and phone to use.

Spray it black or buy black battery cover from Taobao. Replaceable battery cover want change what colour also can.

Can be a selling point for you guys. Order some from Taobao at lower cost, bundle it with then phone you scalp maybe can add another RM50.

You know last time I shop at Taobao for the casing. Some casing straight replace the backcover and include a lip around the screen for protection against fall face down. Like integrating backcover + casing (not flip case).

Maybe they're not selling the advertised amount due to some ppl kacau-ing with the sales but yes those phones can sell out within few mins except the Redmi 1S.

Wow really? Then how much is Xiaomi paying UPS for delivering each phone? Just wondering...

Not to mention that many other countries also having sales at the same time. But it is confirmed that they upgraded their server since their launch in M'sia. First few times their website can totally hang and don't let ppl login even 10 mins before 12pm but now, even with Redmi Note on sale, their server can still handle well. But slowdown is noticeable, just that at least it's still loading. Previously it will just stuck and won't load.

I never try 1S but from my experience, Note really ain't that bad. Maybe because my previous phone was a Galaxy Nexus (dual core A9) and this phone already totally outperform it too much that I don't care about the lag anymore.

I know those things but I still settled for this phone. Why? Because of the price. If you ask... Why not 1S? I would say mainly because of the screen and that extra RAM. I want bigger screen (used to 5.5" screen) and also non-reflective screen. 1S screen is reflective as it's not fused together. I had the Lenovo A850+ with similar "grey" screen (not fused together also). It's so reflective that I almost can use it as a mirror (almost...) Besides that... The 2GB RAM does come in handy. I don't even bother to "swipe" apps away in Recent Apps now. Just let them be there.

How you sure 1S much better? Get both, try and show us the comparison only I believe

Anyway... If you want only Snapdragon, wait for the Redmi Note 4G. Not sure when will it arrive but since you want it so much, just wait la.

Notice the lag and performance issue but... think about the price then everything is alright.

Actually... I strongly believe the hardware has that power to offer more. More towards Xiaomi optimization for this phone. Even quad core A7 can be very smooth (Moto G for example), why can't Octa core be that smooth? That extra 4 cores might not be used most of the time but still baseline, it has 4 cores that should act like a quad core chipset. With optimization (custom rom probably, since xiaomi probably won't care much), I think it can do better than those phones.

Ya... Now Mediatek GPS quite ok. Compared to my previous Galaxy Nexus, it's much better. Tested both on Lenovo A850+ and Redmi Note, similar GPS performance. Can lock to quite precise (3~5m) and quite fast to lock. I can lock even inside my room (maybe ceiling and roof too thin?)

Isolated case probably. Haven't heard anyone with this problem.

+1... But Redmi Note not too bad at gaming la. Nice to have that 5.5" for gaming. 5" too small

But still I think it can be optimized further. I used Lenovo A850+ using same chipset (MT6592). Take Asphalt 8 for example, it's smoother on the Lenovo A850+. Why? I don't know. Ask Xiaomi. But on Redmi Note, it's not saying like not playable at all. It's still perfectly playable. Just slightly laggier, compared to A850+. I'm not comparing it to my old Galaxy Nexus though. Too much difference Almost twice as fast at loading, also twice as much in terms of details. Old phone GPU not supported, even traffic in Asphalt 8 isn't there.

A better name for stock clearance mah. And it's the last summer Mi3 will go through, so it makes sense also.
