The pinnacle of Tekken 7 competition, ATL Season 2 - the best Tekken players fight it out in brackets.
Basically if you are interested in Tekken, you'll learn something just by watching these people play:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXcA...O8nEbSgBRj5qwz0

To put in perspective, the worst Tekken player in ATL is at the very least a couple of leagues better than the best player from the US, EU/UK, and SEA. That's how insanely tight this tournament is.

- Tournament mode improved (not sure, have to test it out)
- DLC items supported
- Online stability improved (again, not sure have to test out)
- Names don't show up anymore in online matches prior to accepting a match

When the F are they going to reduce PS4's input lag??????

Patch 1.05 killed the player base. Who wants to play against fags who pull plug before losing and keep their so called win streak alive?

Also, character balance patch is coming for arcade version soon - which would probably roll out to console/pc version not too long after. People are waiting for this along with the new penalty system that the team is working on.

Either that or the game's server can not find players around your level to match you up with. In other fighting games, the higher you rank, the less people you can play with. This is not applicable in Japan,Korea or major US cities where there is a concentration of players however
*
You can set player rank to "Any" you know.

I've even VPN'd myself to the US server, matches still take some time to find - and unfortunately, plenty of US players are are below scrub tier. Playing with them is like playing with the CPU. So it's not just about finding players, it's about finding decent matches too.

QUOTE(Deathhunter @ Sep 13 2017, 01:35 PM)
Yeah those fags are really annoying....they do this mostly during promotion match + Katarina seriously need to be balanced.

*
Katarina is not getting balanced in the upcoming Version "N" patch - http://www.avoidingthepuddle.com/news/2017...-changelis.html

Katarina isn't even being touched.
To be honest, I don't know if she needs a balance patch or not.

US players ? That must be real laggy
*
The whole point of VPNing is to reduce lag.... sweat.gif

Most players I face from US are 4 bars, which is acceptable enough. However since I'm a Hwo main, doing JFSR consistently (9/10 times) in LFF stance is impossible - so play style needs to change a little bit.

This guy is getting seriously annoying :\

Connection shows 5bars so I always accept match but he always either RQ or skips match during loading....I tried to figure out if its my problem or not so I tried ranked using my another acc, luckily got match with him & that acc's character is only 1st Dan, match went fine & he lost.
got back to my actual account & here I never being able to play with him in ranked as he always skips :\

Anyone know this guy? PSN ID - Yakuza ark something
*
No idea who. How to tell now when names don't even show up? sweat.gif

I finally got the game on PC today due to the sale. It's awesome there but... it's so dead that I spend more time waiting than playing.
So yeah.. I really don't know how else to move forward with this game. It's a big time waster and it's all thanks to how the game has been supported post launch.

QUOTE(-PuPu^ZaPruD3r- @ Sep 13 2017, 10:41 PM)
So sad Harada not doing anything about this

No fun if people rage quit or disconnect to maintain rank

A pity the arcade scene is dead. Real players compete in the arcade
*
He's "doing" something about it. But that "doing" something is going to take who knows how long. I mean, a simple 1.05 patch took over a month to get out on PC.

ehhh?? PC scene is dead? I've not logged in to my PC version for last 1 month....but before that it was really active....seriously last night I tried TTT2 on PS3 which is surprisingly still very much active...
*
4k+ players on a wekkend, 2k+ players on weekedays for PC. PS4 is double that if not triple.
So... sweat.gif

Really, the only way forward for fighting games in the casual space is that all 3 platforms agree on cross platform multplayer. Obviously all 3 versions will then have to be identical.

*EDIT*

Got some good matches today on the PC, even though the rank was massively unbalanced. The only way to get quick matches is to set rank to "Any". Hilarious 1st kyu vs a Vanquisher. Lol.

Commentators are mediocre though not as bad as the ones at Abuget cup.

Also met Tanukana, cool girl.

I think she has solid fundamentals, but she lacks in the mental game. She's been choking a lot this year throughout matches, even on her casual PS4 streams.

*
Yeah Book is quite beastly with Jin. He's got some pretty insane movement with him. Will be interesting to see how he does in the world tour finals.

Though best Jin IMO is CherryBerryMango. He's on a whole other level.

Patch 1.08 is out:

- Improved optimization of the game's performance.
- Removed "Max No. of Players" from the tournament matchmaking conditions.
- Changed the information displayed about your opponent during standby for warm-up.
- Made adjustments to the behavior of the throwing gauge in Ultimate Tekken Bowl.

This is how the player info looks like now:

Classic Tekken dev team. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
Where the F are the names? doh.gif

The patch also supposedly improved load times, I'm not sure about that yet.

EU & US region is way more active than Asia so on PS4 um ending up with 2 or 1 bar matches most of the time (as I always set my connection to All)
I hope will get a bit better from next week as um getting TIME connection on Friday. unifi becoming a pain these dayz sleep.gif
but yeah Asia is very less active right now on PS4 but on PC Asia is highly active.
*
I played a bit yesterday on the PS4. Don't know why, I get matched up with most people from Argentina or some shit. But the connection was decent surprisingly, most were solid 4 bars.

Appreciate the faster load times in online though.

anyone wanna play with me? i wanna make my kazumi better

btw i learn new move wanna test on real player.....

now matchmake cannot see name and nothing so just random player....like street fighter you wont know who until in the match

and anyone know where can buy a not so expensive korean fightstick? coz the japan one causing me alot problem when perform certain moves

couple weeks ago i was playing with online player and i think just a fluke.....i using kazumi and knock down enemy player(the player lie down not moving)....i dont know what i press until from the player lie down i kick him up and continue combo lol (still investigating) lol
*
eTokki are not cheap, period. There is no where to get cheap Korean sticks, even if you buy locally in Seoul.

What is your current stick? If it's using the standard Sanwa JLF mount, you can buy a Crown CWL309 lever and basically switch the JP lever out to make it into a Korean stick. Significantly cheaper than buying an eTokki.

As for the move you are talking about, what you did is a mid attack. Your opponent was an obvious scrub because all he/she needed to do was to mash 1 to tech roll after your first ground attack to get out of the infinite. He/she didn't and would keep eating your move because as the character gets up, it's in a while standing state.

I don't play on PS4 anymore, on PC now.

QUOTE(Hattori @ Oct 24 2017, 01:23 PM)
Bought Tekken 7 on Sunday evening, then Platinum it on Monday night.

Asia region is so dead, and as usual Japan players will kick non JP players immediately on room entry.

Not worth the price with such lack of content.
*
It's not dead on the PC though. Getting matches regularly.

In fact, most of the Asian players has already moved to the PC. PS4 is simply very bad online, it's already barely acceptable in local offline.

i been using hori mini...pc how much ar tekken 7?

still not confident enough to buy full scale fightstick but hori mini just crap hahaha for executing particular move

if PC cheap maybe i buy it then we can play together
*
Steam had sale for it a month ago, I think it was RM90 or so. Halloween sale and Fall sale coming for steam, expect the game to go on sale again. Now it's just normal price, RM159 iinm.

Hori mini is just trash. It's not just about getting good, a peripheral is there for you to comfortably play the game.
The hori mini offers none of this unless you have 6 year old kid's hands. A good stick lasts for a decade or more, a shit stick doesn't even make it past a year.

hahaha  buy once use it, no use it, sell it sound like a good investment...any store you know selling korean fightstick? coz i think korean fightstick would be much easier to operate...imo
*
Order direct from etokki? Shops here won't bring in such a niche product.

@bolded
You cannot judge from the looks. Korean levers has a lot more tension than Jap levers, although both can be modified to reduce or increase the tension. I will say this much though; a Korean lever is not easier to use than a Jap lever. Because there is no gate to ride on, you must know exactly where your inputs go for it to be precise. There's very little margin of error.

i know because the jap one i always move the right direction but it always become different direction, that y i dont like it, i study both stick and korea one really what i need

especially side step using jap one very hard to do it

or it could be hori mini fault lol because the directional stick is very "hard" to push

the problem i mostly met is when i push the directional to down + forward it will become down and then forward.... LOL
*
The issue you are having is with cardinal directions, this is normal for people who has very little experience with arcade sticks. The Hori mini is using a square gate, so the cardinal directions for up, down, left and right has no indent to help you know that you are pushing those that directions. This is why you keep pushing df or uf when you are trying to just push forward (right).

A Korean lever is not going to make things better because it has no gate (or rather, a circle gate inside the housing), you will have no "gate" to help you at all in any directions.

I agree with Ji3MoonRex, get a second hand or third hand stick and buy a crown 309 lever and try it out first. Splurging over RM1k+ for an etokki and then realizing that you don't like it will be a huge waste of money. You don't even need any knowledge of how to change out the lever, you just to know how to use a screwdriver and some common sense.
