QUOTE(Zozi @ Jun 28 2017, 12:33 PM)
So, how does a pro play?
*
For non-Tekken players, it is very easy to be misunderstood what do "Pros" do special that separate the best from the rest. For one, they do very little flashy combos - they don't do stupid things like spamming 1 move for the entire round because the other pro will just easily parry the same move over and over again for an easy punish.

You will also see that when pros initiate a launch, most of the time the round is over - that's because they don't waste any moves after a launcher (again, no flash shit, just using effective, simple combos with precise timing).

Also one thing the best Korean players do better than anyone else in the game is movement and positioning. "Spammers" usually gets raped because they will whiff their spam move within 2 moves. I have no idea how long the Koreans practise on movement alone per-day though, I heard it's something stupid like 2 hours of non-stop backdash/wavedash/sidestep the first thing they boot up the game everyday. I don't know.

Haven't played for over a week... so what is the verdict on patch 1.03?

*EDIT*

This is a somewhat questionable video on the input lag after 1.03 on PS4:

IF, assuming everything is the same i.e monitor, DS4 revision (different versions of the DS4 has diff input latency) are kept the same, that seems to me like there is still a 2-3 frames advantage on the PC over the PS4.

What are you order bro? If I want order 6pc Sanwa OBSFS Silent 30mm Pushbuttons : White cqn

include shipping how much it will be? The price per pc is $2.95. I need to know how much need check pocket 1st..hehe
*
$16 shipping with USPS first-class mail (time is 2-4 weeks delivery).
$30 shipping with USPS priority international (14 business days or less delivery est.).
$56 shipping with Fedex International (within 7 business days delivery time).

All depends on how many people join in the bulk, I have 2 people PM'd me but until now no response after choosing their stuff. The more people join, then the lesser the shipping charges will be as it will be spread out among everyone.

You can check the price by going to focus attack, add the stuff to the cart and they will automatically discount the items for you. Be quick though, cut off time is midnight.

The artwork on the Hori Tekken 7 and Hayabusa Pro N can be removed btw. I ordered a custom plexi from FocusAttack just to do my own artwork for my Pro N.

The 6 hex nuts on the front panel, remove them then slowly peel off the plexi. If it doesn't come up, use a hairdryer to heat up the edges and it should peel off nicely.

Reason why Jeondding lost to JDCR, Saint and his "regretful" yet ignorance is-not-so-bliss after all experience at EVO 2017:

QUOTE
Translation from dommynick at Neogaf

Was watching Jeondding's stream last night, the first after EVO, and he gave some lore about his top 8 matches. Here's my translation.

He swears he should have beaten JDCR in their match, because JDCR was totally off his game, making input errors and getting hit by all kinds of stuff he doesn't normally get hit by. In addition, he gave away a match and was thrown off for the entire set because of a button issue. When he played JDCR, his buttons were configured completely wrong. Knee had played previously on the side that Jeondding was on, and Knee uses a different button config than most players, using the four buttons one column to the right on a typical stick config.

Jeondding's only tournament experience are in Korean Tekken leagues and Mastercup a few times in Japan, so he's very inexperienced when it comes to console tournaments and just hopped on and started playing without a button check. You can see in the first seconds of the first match, he realizes the buttons are messed up and starts checking his buttons.
JDCR also realizes the situation and backs off for about 10 seconds. Jeondding asks JDCR what he should do, and JDCR says just play on. Jeondding is flustered at this point, but moves his fingers over to Knee's setup and plays on. He actually adjusts himself really well to a really weird button config and starts getting into his groove. He pointed out all the various moments when JDCR was just getting hit by random stuff that he never got hit by when Jeondding would play JDCR and the fact that JDCR rarely gets counterhit, because of JDCR's nerves.

Jeondding swears that even though it's impossible to believe, being his big tournament and it being the biggest Tekken tournament ever, he wasn't nervous at all. He says it just feels like he's playing matches at the arcade against JDCR. He talks about how he didn't really understand the depth it takes to be the best as a progamer and that the best players do a lot of things outside of just being good at their game.
Once he got to EVO and saw how JDCR and Saint would maintain their physical and mental condition in preparation for their matches by eating and sleeping properly, he realized that he didn't take EVO nearly seriously enough, noting that he was playing SF5 on his stream 2 days before leaving for EVO (lol).

The first match ends and he regrets everything that went on in it, really feeling like it should've been his match. Between the first and second match you can see him ask JDCR how to go into button config and JDCR explains it to him (lol), then tells him to move over. It's pretty shocking that a person so ill prepared and with little experience was able to take the eventual EVO champ so close to being sent to losers bracket. He does a throw in the second round of the second match intending for JDCR to break it so he can get on the 1P side.
This is where he mentions that choosing sides is something he's very unfamiliar with, as on the arcade version of Tekken 7, each player can choose whichever camera side they want and he much preferred 1P, but lost Rock Paper Scissors to JDCR before their match for the choice of side. In the final round of the final match, Jeondding says he doesn't know why he didn't just lame out the rest of the match, instead of aggressively trying to close it out like he was. Then in the final comeback moment, Jeondding thought the match was over for sure with his combo and in his mind was saying "Bye JDCR!", instead we got "No, no, no, don't do that! Get up!"

Then he goes onto his match against Saint. He says it's not even worth calling a match, Jeondding lets Saint use his stick and he instead uses JDCR's stick. JDCR's stick was totally ill suited for him and he couldn't play at all, and gets destroyed. Can't move properly, dropped combos, and the discomfort and distraction just made it terrible. He doesn't really points fingers and blames himself for not being prepared for a console tournament in regards to things like settings and sticks.

Before he goes into his match against Bats, he wonders aloud why the Korean version of Nightbot doesn't do anything for his channel, while he sees him (it?) doing all kinds of useful things for other streamers. The chat all laughs at him and points out that Nightbot is not a person but a bot that he has to set up, and it paints a picture of someone who plays a lot of Tekken but knows very little of technology, shining a light on all his troubles with the console aspect of tournaments, and just looking kind of airheaded in general. The chat calls him a technology dummy, others hope it's just a joke or trolling, while others are astounded that this person could be this good at Tekken.

Finally he goes into his match against Bats to get into Top 8, there's not much to say besides the fact that Bats was intimidated by Jeondding, and Jeondding mentions he does Rodeo a lot on Bats because it's known in Korea that the Japanese are not very good at breaking throws.

Bolded all the important points.

Ignorance isn't so bliss after all isn't it? That said, Jeondding was playing lights out in all his matches up until the finals. Also as to why Jeondding "shares" a stick with Saint, it is apparently because Saint doesn't actually have a main stick of his own yet (shocking right? lol).
In an interview with BornFree, Saint said he's been shopping for pretty much every part in the market for his arcade stick, testing out all kinds of buttons, levers, down to the rubber grommets and hasn't actually came up with a decision on what to use. He doesn't even know which cabinet suits his wrist best apparently.

the grab range is also quite far compare to SF V. and can be execute during opponent throw punch/kick when the timing is correct.
well, i need to print out the combo list.....i only remember abab>ab and dcdc for nina.....lulz

Depends on the punch or the kick.

Generic throws = ~i12
Jab = i10

A jab has 2 frames advantage and on block gets a +1.
A standing generic throw is the same range as a throw in SFV. In Tekken, because you can do f+1+3 (example), it gives you a micro-step which "increases" the range of the throw.

Then there's also the option where ducking a throw will make the attacker open for a WS punisher....

Population of T7 has died down... sigh. Even finding a damn match by setting to ANY on either rank and connection yields takes AGES to find a match now a days.

Btw, here's an interesting infograph on the percentage of players above Brawler status (if you are below that, it means you're not even a scrub, sad to say);

Sadly I don't play the same time as you (9pm+ was it?).

No, the graph is real. This is for online legitimate ranks, not offline ranks and not the bullshit ones at Tekken God Prime or whatever it is called.

Ehhhh what time u play

Y no beginner rank? A lot ppl doing that

11-1am usually. The only way I'm getting players is to VPN my line to US - but that means playing with 3 bars or under.

Because anything under Vanguard is not a real rank. Beginner isn't a rank, nor is 1-10 Kyu. By the time you reach blue ranks (Initiate and higher), you're still considered a 'filthy casual' (no offense intended) by the Tekken community. That's how it's been since T5.

It's all just for laughs really.

Noroma is a practice partner to Taisei.

He was only known in Japan and Korea as a very good player and nothing else. To be honest, his play through the pools and the top 16 bracket was decent at best. It wasn't until he was in the top 8 losers where he engaged god mode and played out of this world.

BTW, the tourney was badly managed. Poorly sponsored, had almost no support from either Namco nor the local esports organization. Tekken is way too small of a game to even be able to cover expenses in S.Korea, go figure. Sad, Korea TWT was also the most difficult tournament besides Globals to do well in. Like, literally the top 1% of the best Tekken players in the world were in the tourney, it's an insane amount of talent right there!

Whole tournament should have been held in a way better light. The blames goes to Namco for not supporting it enough (TWT is their project), they only provided prize money which even then was laughable to say the least.

Noruma....I didn't watch his pool plays but I managed to catch him in Top 8, damn......his Jack is out of this world. A lot of whiff fakes, sudden Rage Drives and he caught JDCR a lot with low attacks, JDCR has a habit of not blocking low but prior to that.....he used Feng against Saint....man that match up was hype as well, lots of good reads and yes his READS were damn godly.

Indeed.
Up until that point, when Noroma was playing the pools or top 16 bracket - almost no one except Nobi gave a shit. Hell, Aris was making Jack-7 yawn jokes about him.

Who knew he suddenly had this insane executions and well thought out game plan against the top 2 players in the tourney. Now I'm not exactly sure if this is the case, I didn't check for legitimacy but I heard that Noroma is currently the ONLY person to have beat Saint and JDCR in the same tourney, in the same day, in the same bracket and is not Korean.

The other stand out player for me is CherryBerryMango. I've been following this guy for a while but he was really only known as a good arcade/online player... but then these parries into RAs he pulled off in absolute clutch moments, takes some serious balls!

I really don't know what's happening with T7 in the last few days.

Yesterday, lost 6 matches in a row. 4 different opponents, but 3 of them were blatant lag switchers.

EVERY single time o launch punish, the lag will come on. All of them are 5 or 4 bars, so go figure that shit out.
PC ain't any better as I've seen people doing that stupid alt-tab bs when they are about to lose.

Infuriating!
