QUOTE(mavericksam @ Aug 11 2014, 06:23 PM) wanna check with you guys who got their cars lately... is there anymore gapping issues? i wanted to check the car before SA register it but he said he will check and snap the pics for me... dunno if i should insist... Hi mavericksam, if possible you can request SA to bring you in to their car garage and let you know which car is being assigned to you and from there you can examine the car condition. Please remember to write down the car chasis number in which located at the left side passenger door seal there to avoid any changes in the future for the car being assigned to you. |

QUOTE(imfrank @ Aug 11 2014, 04:46 PM) one question here. the tyre valve caps, are they supposed to screw in completely? coz i noticed all 4 caps of my tyres couldn't be screwed in fully. Hi imfrank, tyre valve caps once loose, it cannot be screw completely. You may drive your car to the nearest tyre centre and request new tyre valve caps from them. Sure they will provide to you. |

QUOTE(imfrank @ Aug 12 2014, 08:40 AM) here are some issues i had with my City. Hi imfrank, the gap for rear passenger seat is happen on left side rear passenger seat or right rear passenger seat? If I not wrong due to 60:40 split seat, they will design the seat with some gap to ensure no interference between two rear passenger seat.1. d gap on d driver's side. [attachmentid=4090492] 2. d gap in between d seats revealing d white body. haih. Honda cannot measure d seat size properly hah? [attachmentid=4090493] 3. this is d max d valve caps can be screwed in. and this applies to all 4 tyres. (did they give me d wrong cap size?) [attachmentid=4090494] |

QUOTE(imfrank @ Aug 12 2014, 09:47 AM) it was on d left side. i tried to cover it up by fitting in d seatbelt thing but to no avail. oh if it is for the 60:40 split seat then i guess we can't do much about it, but i just wished it was not that noticeable. Hi imfrank, what I can said is this car given us a chance to DIY the defects area and make us aware the flaws that happen to this car. If possible, you may need to check the brake fluid to ensure it is at full level as someone on this thread had file a legal complaint due to brake fluid leaking issue. |

QUOTE(tboxmy @ Aug 12 2014, 10:31 PM) All the new City I have seen have the same creamy white marks. SA says its a sealant, but didn't seem confident with that answer. Hi tboxmy, after seek for further understanding from Honda call centre, they feedback that this area is seal with white sealant without car paint to it. They said it is standard for all variants. Really funny at the end of the day received a car with this unfinished touch of paint. If anyone have a better answer do share. |

QUOTE(Ree73 @ Aug 14 2014, 03:46 PM) Just want to share as b4 this I also wondering should I wax or coat or no need at all. Hi Ree73, may I know is coating able to protect your car from getting scratches? As I can see some sport car coat with special film that can protect their car from getting scratches but not sure the cost for the installation and maintenance for it...coating is like they take your years of waxing $ 1st, and give warranty to you (all include) wax is like you need to manually every 3 months go waxing, this I worry what if on every waxing, they add more scratch to the surface? and I did think of don't care at all, once on 5th years, as it damage, bring to repaint! all costing almost the same, coat might be 2k for 5 years, wax each wax 100+(for every 1 year 4 times, 20 times for 5 years) it also ring to a total of 2k plus. For repaint, it also around 2k plus.... So end up. I choose coat as it is easy to maint. after coat, just bring for normal hand wash or simple DIY hand wash with microfiber cloth. |

QUOTE(Ree73 @ Aug 14 2014, 04:00 PM) so far I see the most shinning coating is gdox... but not cheap man, I think it will cost 3k to 5k for the most berkelip kelip coat!!! Hi Ree73, I had go through the commercial adverts from Youtube and they shown using steel brush to scratch the car and by pouring hot water will recover the scratches area. So not sure whether coating can recover by following this method. The cost also not cheap, almost RM5k to 7k and maintenance is already cost RM500 ++...this got its disadvantages also. what if minor accident, they cannot repaint due to too thickness of coat. they need to remove all coat and repaint. for sure this will add extra $ to paint and recoat. |

Hi Ree73, my living place there got animal and wild kids in which like to scratch people car. QUOTE(Ree73 @ Aug 14 2014, 04:33 PM) hmmm, repaint every 5 years!! What I understand Lexus LS460 is using a paint in which scratch can be hidden after 12 hours. But not sure the cost for the car paint as it is worth for the investment...Kidding. try to find those 12H hardness coating. but if those kid go scratch your car with metal, use stone to scratch... I don't think any coat will help on that. Maybe you can do some research on this. To me 5k to 7k coat is way too expensive |

QUOTE(Ree73 @ Aug 14 2014, 04:45 PM) police wont accept this report also la. anything below $500 damage... cannot claim insurance This price is reasonable. Will consider to apply in future as currently need to spend more money to buy good steerling lock and tint the car.you can go for 12H coating, but no guarantee on will not scratch at all. 12H will be around rm2500 for city maybe you can ask the coat ppl, 12H mean can protect what lvl of attack? |

QUOTE(Ree73 @ Aug 14 2014, 05:03 PM) Hi Ree73, I had set RM10k for a budget to add accessories for the car. Any recommendation for a good steerling lock? As I found from ENEOS the best one is cost RM260 with leather cover on top of the sterling lock. Look nice and if someone touch the sterling lock, horns will apply to it... |

Hi neko shikacho, may I know where is selling this product? I'm interested on it especially the T-Rex ultimate. Understand that it can detect vibration when someone push or pull your car... Hi Honda City Owners, someone had done their 10k service and here is the problem being highlighted during second service with all the price listed for the parts replacement and labor cost apply for it. Which is consider high cost for maintenance on 10k service as compare with Honda listed price on schedule maintenance via Honda official websites.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Aug 15 2014, 07:32 AM) No, scratch the car yourself first, then they have no incentive to scratch your car....and you get the satisfaction of scratching your own car. Hi All, this people seems like not using his own brain to think about his own car if scratch by himself also consider a self satisfaction. Luckily, he is put me into ignored list and he can't see what I written here. What a good thing to judge a person for his moron attitude. |
