My lady friend claimed morning when start their engine and hold the brake while shift gear to D, the gear stick there will vibrate and eventually can hear the "woon sound". My car so far no issue with this but pity her as she just fresh graduate and received this kind of lemon car that service centre also claimed need to further investigate on this issue.

Hi tboxmy, my car just drove 200++km only and the issue is not happened to my car but my lady friend car in which she had reach 900++km and found this 'woon sound' came out from the gearbox. That why need to check whether it is a common issue happen on Honda City car?

My car still in Honda garage and will do final test drive before signed and collect the car. My car color is silver and not sure how to update on the owner list. Because no one guide me on this and ended up given comment and some people had put my name into their ignored list during the time raise some common issue with this car. Sigh and that's it...

Hi neko shikacho, I had reported in since v02 thread and Honda Malaysia informed me that whatever you see the defects can let the SA know and you may test drive the car until it is up to your expectation for the car condition before signing the delivery goods form to accept the car. That's why I keep on testing on weekend and raise up any issue that happen for service centre to rectify the issue until perfection. Anyway, I'm not hurry for the car and what I expect a car is less problem and can let my parent to have a safer journey to go outstation. I buy the car for my parent and I use back my old car as I'm a speedy driver and prefer to use conventional automatic transmission for daily work...

There is no charge imposed for frequent service if the issue you highlight on 1000km service is not resolve. They have to resolve for you unless you desparate for collect the car.

You're not the first one who comment on rattling sound. Few users had raised this issue to Honda Malaysia but they unable to solve this issue completely due to the materials being used on dashboard is a small thin layer of plastic and when exposed to sun, it will kembang and during night will squeeze and eventually rattling sound happen. Features is perfect but quality is not there.

Hi xSean, test drive car is first batch of Honda City production car and for sure will have rattling sound here and there. For us, what we can do is to find a better premium quality tint that comes with high IRR and TSER to avoid direct sun exposure through our main windscreen and cause expansion and shrinking on dashboard. Not only can secure you from hearing rattling sound but also protect your car interior from getting faded for the dashboard and etc. I don't mind to fork out more money for tinting but ensure car interior is cool enough to protect us from direct exposure to sun light.

Hi Honda City owner, most of the people claimed they can hear front passenger side door have rattling sound as well as from dashboard area. I have attached herewith photos in which you all can check whether the fitting is fitted properly or the rubber is come out and you may press hardly in order to aligned properly but the rear boot issue need to seek technician to fix for you. Hope this info given by public can help.

Hi huiyu, it is all depends on your budget. If you prefer safety and bundle with all the feature. You may go for V Spec. If your budget is below RM88k, then you may go for Honda City E Spec. Both car is good but different is airbag, cruise control, sport rims, head unit.

Hi huiyu, the 15 inch and 16 inch tyres width is the same but the different is 16 inch rims more heavy and more bumpy ride as compare to 15 inch. In terms of tyre size, 15 inch rims got variety of tyres on the market to choose with decent price whereas 16 inch rims have limited tyre that available on the market based on the size measurement of 185/55/16.

15 inch rims can be upgradable to 185 size tyres and the stability is there. But at the same time, understand that your place there have a lot of criminal case. As a result, I prefer you take the E spec that can save you from getting direct rob from snatch theft. People aims more on full spec vehicle instead of basic spec due to resale value and favourable on the public.

Hi huiyu, I'm driving Honda City V Spec Alabaster Silver Colour and so far the car is perfect after go through with my SA few rounds for testing the car.

My Honda City V Spec so far is the perfect car after undergoing strict test with headquarter personnel in Malacca. No rattling sound, loud speaker and good car paint. Satisfied with the car being received.

Yes. The SA is my friends introduce to me. FYI....the max that SA can offer now is RM1.3k (current status is RM1k discount and another RM300 for spare in case they lost you as a potential customer). Try to convince them by given you all the discount. They can do it for you if you demanded for it.

Of course. Honda genuine spare parts is more expensive compare to Toyota. People will tend to upgrade Toyota to Honda due to high revving engine and more good in handling as compare with Toyota car.

Try to check from different branch. Not all the branch have stock availability.
