Yes. The rating system has come a long way since when it was first introduced. I believe it's a lot more accurate now than it used to be. Still not perfect, but it's getting there.

only those who play alot yet stay in the same mmr range consider got skill...else ull drop for sure

New from dota , was invited by my friend , i have already played dota 2 for nearly a month , and played ranked match, score around 4.3k at solo and 4.5k party rating , anyone interest to play with low class player like me? = =
