I just started playing DotA again after quitting for so many many years. I'm still level 14 but haven't join MMR yet, anyone here around my level that I can team up with?

Try tethering the internet from your phone.

I did that whenever I wanna play seriously cause my current home wifi will DC every hour or so. That's why nearly each game, confirm I will get the red "Warning: Network Connection Issue etc etc etc" on the top right. When that happens during clash or chase......zzz.....gg.com

That's what my senior friend told me, but I noticed the match making algorithm will find similar level players & match them up together for non-MMR games. I often kena trashed nicely cause I pair up with my high leveled friends.

Also when we made a group of 5 friends, the matching making will try to match us up accordingly to another group too. Steam match making is pretty awesome frankly.

How to join? Last I recalled, my level was too low for guilds >.<

Only recently I managed to join ranked matchmaking, I was under leveled for a very long time.
Last time I clicked around guilds sections, it's all blanked out & not much info, eventually I gave up & continue playing public matchmaking until now lol.

Animation lag has been very bad, Drow shooting invisible arrows quite often now.

Some people, dunno how or why.....leave their mic permanently on, their BGM is damn annoying lol.
I was so happy when I discover we can mute them lol.

Actually concentrating on the game's sound effect is quite good, it gives off some alerts e.g. Ursa will still growl out loud even when invi or if enemy windwalked too near you'll be able to hear the disappearing sound. So you can tell; incoming danger.

It's still fun lol, did that after so long few weeks back.

After work, me & my colleagues went dinner together at SS15 & then 8pm start playing. Targeting to stop at midnight, but as usual la.....not satisfied with losing, so keep playing until a satisfactory win at 1.30am lol.

Good times resurrected, never thought I got a chance to do that again.......those days 10 friends, now 5 enough already.

I usually play around 10pm too, I'll give it a try & hopefully can catch up with you guys. I worry end up dragging the team down only.

The lobby games are usually in Single Draft & All Random mode? I gg when ended up in those mode.....

I have a rough idea on most heroes, it's just that when it comes to executing the "skill combo", I'll go haywire la.......like a Witch Doctor that Ulti, then Maledict & finally stun.

And when people will be telling be to buy Meka, Force Staffs, Guinsoo, BKB......in the end I probably use those items once or twice only lol cause don't know the "ideal" situation to use it & when the "ideal" situation do happen, I'd be too blur to realise & use it.

I didn't join because I feel like I'm pulling down whichever team I'm in.

Would be good if there's a "newbie" section so that at least people of the similar level range can play together. But then again, it's already difficult as it is now to get 10 players of any levels lol.

I got my own computer, but still went to CC until midnight last weekend to DotA with my team mates.

Nothing beats screaming at your team mates there & then for stuns, heals, def etc etc hahaha.

Same like me, I can only play a few heroes.

So after joining few of this guild's lobby with it's non AP modes.....I stopped joining lobby games >_<
