I just got back from a holiday in Kuantan. During my travel there, I've noticed that my fuel paddle was not responsive for 1second-ish and that occurred 3 times.

It happened when the car was on the move, not during full stop to start.

What's the issue here?

And list of things to fix at SC:
1. Reverse sensor failing. Continuous beeping sound.
2. Steering shake quite hard occasionally.
3. USB charger doesn't work at the front cigarette socket.
4. Broken right rear fog-light.
5. Water dripping at the front passenger seat during excessive rain.
6. Sound quality issue when using Head Unit Mic.
7. Fuel paddle unresponsive.
*
#6 is sort of unfixable because it's all the same with other Preve CFE headunit, unfortunately. Good luck in fixing the others, have faith.

on my claim they only replace front disc hmm.gif
sound quality with head mic, they can't do nothing. they just reset the HU laugh.gif

my USB charger can read usb drives, but it can't charge my handphone. should i ask them to check? unsure.gif
*
The USB port is not a charger. It is intended for reading flash drives or connect to iPod/iPhone to play music.

Because it has quite low amperage, and also has data lines present, some phones does not charge from it. I personally have a data line bypass adaptor that allows me to charge from it, but it's purely for slow charging only.

120W socket for what usage ?

Every car has that. It is a typical 12V outlet.

I think you didn't put any effort to know the rules or culture of the club page before posting for your sales. Being on the wrong side doesn't make you seemingly deserve to slap any others.

They have a separate event page for trading. Their rule #6 on the club's info page states that they strictly prohibit advertisements.

Likewise, any advertisement posted on this thread would be removed without prior notice, before you would attempt to slap anyone of us if you are going to post one.

New member, less than a month. Wasn't aware of the rules. Joined to keep a lookout for common problems, defects, etc. My bad for not reading it, since I have a hectic schedule. Anyway, thanks for pointing it out, appreciate it.

Please enjoy your stay in the forum. No hard feelings intended.

If you've stayed long enough on Prevoc, you may have seen how the administrators and members were irritated by advertisements. It was not very long ago that they announced that they had spent enough effort to explain and decided to remove any offending members without warning.

Not limited. And actually RPM will fall when you apply gas pedal. When you lift off throttle on slope, gear drops automatically for engine braking. Normal with most cars.

hi guys,

today, my 3 days old Preve CFE with 187 milage have a problem with the gear

when start this morning, suddenly cannot change gear from P, its lock there

i call my SA and proton care, they suggest to disconnect the battery, leave the car running for 1/2 hour, and try to change gear, but still fail

and then, i call proton care again, they tow my car to proton jalan Chan Sow Lin...

still not checked yet, i go to pray zohor, and then just want to have a quick glance on my car,
when i start the car suddenly i can change the gear...i dont know what happen, and how it fixed it self rclxub.gif

should i be worried here?
*
Should have just disconnected the battery with engine off. Nothing much to be worried off. The gear lock mechanism is sensitive to voltage fluctuation or weak battery power.

Make sure battery terminal connection is secure.

Haiz...been driving preve for almost one month....gt few problems when I got the car, back seats can't fold, tyre allignment out, helicopter sound, smelly burning odour when I tried speed to 140-160 for awhile...is it true not to speed so much within first 1000km? fc is quite high...almost rm90 ringgit fuel pump every week although just travel around 300km plus. Average 11.8l per 100km...
*
In first few thousand mileage, driving hard will cause some burning smell. That's the exhaust gasket smel . Normal.

FC in first one thousand is also very bad. Normal.

Hi, may i know do you guys break in for ur new preve? How to break in?thx
*
I break in hard. Gradually building up revs to 5000RPM whenever I have the chance. Then let engine braking slow down the car.

There is no hill hold on Preve, even if you have EVP.

If you seen Suprima S that has hill hold, you have to press the button below the heater button to activate.

Hill hold assist doesn't work by just releasing brakes. There is a need to push a button to tell the car you need the assist. The clutch is not completely open so it doesn't roll back like neutral. If you are holding your car by the hill after releasing your brakes, you're just wearing out your clutch, there is no brakes applied, whether it is Exec or Premium or Premium with 6 airbags or LE.

No, Suprima S has.

We don't have the button at all.

Suprima mia hill hold is automatic IINM...I tested it before. Same as my Fiesta, just release brakes on a slope it will hold the brakes for a few seconds.
*
Wokey, then I'm wrong. But I'm fairly certain my Preve LE does not hold on to brakes but only relies on clutch.

Thanks.
So my EXEC hood is kosong is it normal?
Where can I get the sound insulation to install? Wonder how much does it cause.

Anyone know the proper name for that parts?
*
If you fancy the stock ones, you can get it as spare part from Proton. You have to ask for its price.

QUOTE(DuGalle @ Dec 5 2014, 10:47 AM)
Thinking of upgrading from my Saga BLM to a new Proton either a Preve or an Iriz...either one is fine. I like the Preve but am a bit cautious on all its fitting and finishings as the Iriz is slightly nicer in that department. I quite like all the nice auto wiper auto headlights functions in the Preve, its size and its power but am still a bit torn on either car. I feel the Preve has a bit more added value for its space and features but the Iriz just seems like a more natural buy.

Currently I travel in the city between Nilai and KL during the weekends and city driving during the weekdays. In my saga, a full tank at a cost of ~RM63 can get me about 260-300km of petrol before the light blinks. What's the basic cost of fuel in a Preve (full tank cost and range)? Fuel consumption is one of the things I'm concerned on the Preve but understand that it's a bigger car etc.

Any advice from you guys on whether an Iriz or a Preve is a better buy or should I be waiting for a facelifted updated engine version...or the Saga 3? dry.gif
*
If you need a nifty car, easy to park, lighter to zip around in traffic, get Iriz.
If you want the power and stability, get Preve.

My Preve CFE drives around 550-580KM in a full tank (~48L out of 50L), mixed highway and city driving. At current price of RON95, it should be RM108.

Optional. I never take it

QUOTE(mental007 @ Dec 7 2014, 12:47 AM)
last week drove my preve to cameron. We visited one place with like more than 30% slope. my preve can't go up with full load using S mode. its like it is still on the higher gear. the car moves abit then straight loss power and gearbox light on. so i have to step on the brakes and the light went off again.
premium with turbo model.
*
30% has exceeded Preve hill climb specifications. You will need to use handbrake to avoid rolling down before the clutch grips
