Hi Sifus around,
Im kinda attracted by Sportivo BK.
Not so sure if this body kit face the same problem when going through bumps and parking.

Anyone using Sportivo? Price range?

**Facing dilemma in either changing rim or BK first.  hmm.gif  doh.gif
*
you can try survey in mudah.my for pricing

if you are going to A** shop in shah alam for bodykit make sure you deal directly with the boss. his employee mulut very laser and because of that i left the shop even though i have the cash ready in my pocket on that day

What brand u use?
i have bought the rim. wub.gif
Now trying to choose tyre for the rim. hmm.gif
*
i bought yokohama c drive (215/50/17) rm360 per pc from weng heng bukit kemuning
i'm not a tyre expert but i think c drive a bit hard compared to stock champiro from proton... i think lah

if you want to look nice and cool you should go for 215/45/17... tyre looks slim but they said rim at risk

But scared it will hit body when full load.
is it ok with 215/50/17? comfy enough?
*
Actually i wanna go for 45 looks much nicer but i have no choice. Need to park my car inside the house and have to drive uphill anything less than 50 will hit the front bumper

Hi Guys,

Proton service can solve the air filter vibration sound issue ?

The air filter vibration sound will be noticeable when you accelerate to around 2.5k rpm.

Anyone of you is having this issue ? and solve it at Service center ?
*
i have this vibrate problem too whenever i hit 2.5k rpm
it will be good if we all can know which SC can solve this

Attended tech week today at COE. Was worth the visit and got to know proton's current vendors and parts suppliers. Most importantly, gained some very useful knowledge / info to proton's in-house R&D and progress in technology. Also ordered a fullset preve R3 bodykit for the car with 30% discount. rclxms.gif

boss, r3 bodykit with stock rims/tyres really not a good idea lah smile.gif

Err. ..u mean not a good idea from the outlook perspective or is there another reason behind it? Can't change my rims also for now. Got 3 yrs free service and afraid that will void the warranty sad.gif
*
boss, i'm using r3 bk at the moment and i never regret getting it at all. only problem is when you are going over bump or go into basement or roof parking. the bodykit is very low and that was why i decided to to change my rims to 17" with (215/50/17) tires even though my preve is 2 months old. yet, i still scratch the front bumper from time to time. go do balancing/alignment also have to tell the shop please be careful where to place the jack... my side skirting cracked when i did on-wheel balancing 2 weeks ago

just to share with you, my car cannot park inside terminal one seremban, ramp too high. palm mall seremban only can park first level roof parking. old wing 1utama open space parking also have to be very2 careful scratched once. there's another forumer here said his r3 front bumper scratched at paradigm mall

speaking about warranty, r3 ppl at proton COE said if using r3 17" rims won't void the warranty. proton edar SC senawang taipan said void warranty. previously my car cannot park inside the house (car porch too high) so just go ahead and change the rims

again like i said, no regret going through all these... except for the side skirt cracked and colleagues laughing at me whenever my car going through bump

i think that's why the people say not a good idea to install r3 bodykit.. yeah.. indeed it's was really improve the exterior very much.. but not practically in daily use.. bump, car park, always must be super slow and careful when driving over these kind of places.. yes.. 17" will help, but not much..

1 advantage, good feeling on own car due to better looking of it.
Many disadvantages, worry this and that, costly..

for me, remain stocks original body will do.. hahaha.. of course, it's no harm for others to install bodykit la.. coz everyone do have different needs ma..
*
agreed with you boss... not practically in daily use. not only that, every time and always have to pre-plan where to go for parking smile.gif

for me, i was stuck with my old stock original inokom atos for 9 years, so now just wanna try and enjoy (R3 that comes with FEAR) my ride more

Dammit should have checked this info before I decided to order bodykit cry.gif

I assumed the original bodykit designed by R3 for the preve would be suitable and not have such problems as long as rims are not changed and car is now lowered. I'm not much of a modifier as I would prefer my car for practicality without having to worry about where I park and drive. My office also I park in the basement. Hmmmm but too late, already paid and ordered, unless R3 has a refund policy, which I doubt they do whistling.gif

Actually only reason I wanted the BK coz I think it looks really nice on the Preve. No worries, appreciate the heads up Mr. Judge! Well, we'll see, if it gets too annoying perhaps I'll have it removed after a while.  hmm.gif

They fit as per original specification right so removing it should not damage the body? Hmmm was looking forward to it but now i'm more worried instead so either install or sell it off biggrin.gif
*
if you change to 17" rims it might help a bit

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Sep 30 2014, 06:10 PM)
Yup that's me! Paradigm mall was first incident. The Akademi Etiqa then Genting Hotel parking, then Wisma Sime Darby and many more. We can almost populate a list of ramps that our Preve with R3 body kit cannot pass through without touching the bumper.

Fortunately I have learned to stop or slow down at ramps and speed bumps, so far no crack yet, only scratches at the bottom of the bumper.
*
boss, are you still using stock rims?

Hi Mr. Judge,

Thank you. Question for 17inch rims:

Will it hit the wheel arch when carrying full load?

Comfort level slight or significant difference?

Thanks in advance! icon_rolleyes.gif
*
My full load only me+wife+3kids... So not really full load

Not sure but i think can really feel the differences. Just an advice, spend extra a bit and get good tires

So far most common problem is the brake disc helicopter sound. No worries SC will change it immediately

As for exec version, you will have at plastic rattling sound when you hit 2500rpm

If your SA offer r3 bodykit at special price, please do some research before commit to r3 smile.gif

Next week i need to send mine back to SC, engine jerking on many occasions and last week almost enjin mati during traffic jam

Hey bro, i found out some jerking such as

1) When traffic jam, we press abit on the pedal, and when we release gas pedal, the car jerk a while(Like an inertia)

2) When press the pedal immediately after the brake.

And i found engine stalling when reverse on the slope....

That why asking whether u encounter this or not?

Thanks

QUOTE(sAm fIsher @ Oct 5 2014, 12:45 AM)
Yours is exec version? From what I've experienced with cvt2 n cvt3+, the jerk u experienced during bumper to bumper traffic is because when u r "touching" the pedal, the clutch will start to engage. as u you lift your "touch" at that brief moment, the clutch has been engaged, engine speed drop but the speed is picking up due to clutch momentum when engaging, the jerk then happen due to the speed differences between engine n transmission.

To avoid that in jam, simply let it roll, n then "touch" the pedal. Or u can let the front car move further b4, roll, u press abit, feel the clutch engage, n release b4 the car stop. Cvt2 ancillaries response r a bit slow.

Ps: same like a manual car, when u release the clutch fully to soon when the car is picking up by pressing a bit, n then lifting leg without pressing the clutch, it will jerk jerk n jerk  biggrin.gif
