non ancap have that prob.. that is why they change it to the newer connector socket and the fan together.

mine is already more than a year bro.. got it last year July..

I am Suprima S owner, if use semi synthetic EO during 1k km service, do I need to do 5k km service..

as far as i know in FB PREVOC, those ANCAP version comes with the newer version of connector.. not like those pre-ANCAP..

And just to inform, Proton actually suggested that we can go oil change interval (OCI) of 10k KM if we use semi-synthetic.. not for mineral.. mineral, strictly stick to 5k KM/ 3 month (whichever comes 1st), if semi or fully, 10K KM/6 month (whichever comes 1st).. Those engineers do know what are they writing when they wrote the manual book.. Dont just simply listen to the service advisers..  they might even tell that 20k KM might need major service, but just follow the service book..

List of things that have to be done (for CFE)

1K KM - 1st service (Engine oil (semi or fully synthetic), oil filter, drain plug gasket, avoid Magnatrap, and X1R as its not necessary)

5K KM - (if applicable, can skip if used fully synthetic on 1K KM service, otherwise, service items would be the same)

10K KM - (Engine oil (semi or fully synthetic), oil filter, drain plug gasket)

20K KM - (Engine oil (semi or fully synthetic), oil filter, drain plug gasket)

30K KM - (Engine oil (semi or fully synthetic), oil filter, drain plug gasket, coolant and brake oil and air filter (suggested in the book, but i dont find the point of changing it)

40K KM - (Engine oil (semi or fully synthetic), oil filter, drain plug gasket)

50K KM - (Engine oil (semi or fully synthetic), oil filter, drain plug gasket, can also change the spark plugs if want to save cost on 60K KM service)

60K KM - (Engine oil (semi or fully synthetic), oil filter, drain plug gasket, spark plug, CVT oil, CVT filter) easily cost more than RM1k

Anyone that is enjoying the free service, might even need to topup for a better oil. Other than that, labour charge will be applicable on the 30K KM service or even 20K KM service if already more than a year. Anyone having Exec can also share as this might be useful. There will be some stuff that i forgot to include, sincere apologize for that..

Basically, as you car is still under warranty, you have the option for Petronas Sythium or Shell as some of the SC are carrying these oils..

DRL (proper DRL like Suprima) needs to add wire & 1 relay. But to do that you need to take out the bumper and the headlights. It also voids your warranty. You can DIY, or you can pay RM250 for a shop to do it. I paid and very happy with the results.

Service center will help us to solve this problem ? Update the ECU will solve this issue or not ?

The fabric seat on my Preve Turbo doesn't have the loose thread phenomenon yet, though I always had this squeaking sound from the seat, even though I have had the whole seat changed at the service centre once. The squeaking sound came back. I don't know if i can wait until my next 20,000km service to get this resolved as the sound from the seat is annoying. Every time you move your back against the seat, especially when going over road bumps, and your back rub against the seat, the sound will come up.

Just poor quality seats. Anybody had this similar problem? I wonder if my case is an isolated case, but after having the defective seat replaced to a brand new seat, the sound is still there. Just made me wonder if all the seats in the Preve are meant to emit some sound?

My driver seat is making noise, I open it up and spray some lubes, the noise went away.

my 2 year old preve cvt auto have this problem as well, engine died when shift from D->R or R->D, then send to SC, they did something, now won't died off..just rpm low like going to die off (do not press the fuel pedal at this moment, else will jerk like hell), need to wait until rpm go high n stable then only can move..

anyway, it is still bugging me with this kind of quality...

I had never bother to ever use cruise control in all the cars I had used. Even on highway you can hardly maintain a constant speed with the traffic in front. I had tried before n had never like it. With regards to fuel consumption I am happy with the CFE model. With a full tank n continuous drive at average 80 km/hr on trunk n 100 km/hr on highway I could cover 750km n indicator still show another 100 km to next refuel. In town driving full tank will hit about 580-600 km before warning light comes on
I would say fc is decently good for a 1.6 Turbo engine car
We never drive our car hard . The car already in its 13th month had been excellent till now with zero problems
Only issue was slight squeaky sound at backseat n that was rectified in week one itself.
Unlike some of you guys I had never bother with the technicalities of driving. I just press the pedal and allow the car to auto control itself. This has always been my driving style past 30+ years on all auto cars I had driven

My ESC symbol appeared on the panel. Page 68 states if it is blinking, then it is active. If it is not blinking but on, then fail warning display.

After I have switched off the engine, it disappears on restarting the engine.

Anyone got similar problem?

Just asking myself whether I should take it in for ESC check (I just had my 1000 km service, and so a bit lazy to go in again).

Did u press the gas pedal immediately after u changing the gear? you need to give some time for the clutch to engage before u press the gas pedal~
